[News] TVXQ’s WHY – Amazing Sales Record, First Day Sales Predicted To Exceed 30000!

TVXQ's Why (Keep your head down) first day sales has already exceeded 150,000 copies!

Offline sales chart website Haoto revealed that the 2-man TVXQ's Why (Keep your head down)'s special edition album, after going on sale on the 5 Jan, has sold over 150,000 copies by 4.00 pm KST.

Given the current situation where, in 2010, the number of artists with album sales totaling over 100,000 were few, TVXQ unexpectedly exceeded the sales of over 15,000 copies (by 4.00pm KST, before the end of the first day,) and this can be said to be shocking record.

Furthermore, after adding sales that were not documented within haoto, the numbers are even more shocking. By 5.00 pm KST, they nearly exceeded the 20,000 sales mark, (by the time this article was published, they had already exceeded the 20,000 mark, before the end of the first day). In a collective total including other offline retailers, they are expected to easily exceed the 30,000 sales mark within the first day.

On another note, Why (Keep your head down) – normal edition will be on sale on 12 January. TVXQ will be starting their comeback performances on KBS2's "Music Bank", then MBC's "Music Core", ending with SBS's "Inkigayo"

[NEWS] “Why (Keep Your Head Down)” MV Is The Highest Viewed Youtube Video Globally

Since the release of Dong Bang Shin Ki's latest track, it has garnered an explosive response from all over the world.
The first released single on 3 January, "Why (Keep Your Head Down)", has achieved first place on various music sites, amongst those are Bugs, Dosirak and Ment. Also, the MV that was released on Youtube on 4 January achieved top spot for the number of comments, ratings and viewership respectively in Korea alone.
Besides Korea, Dong Bang Shin Ki has also gotten the support of their fans all around the world. The MV for "Why (Keep Your Head Down)" currently has the highest amount of viewership on Youtube in countries like Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Canada, England, France, Spain, Brazil, Russia et cetera.

Well,i think this is the very first time for me to share such posts with you guys.

I rarely spend money on magazine but i will regret it if i don't buy the latest edition of YG Magazine,the reason is simple,because it comes along with a unique 2011 calendar.

I have been looking for a KPOP calendar since December but honestly i cannot afford the price of those expensive calendars sold on various online shops.

A bit of my own story here,had lunch with my friends at a shop opposite Malaysia Science University this afternoon,after the lunch,walked out of the building and arrived at a shop selling magazines and stationery.

I think i was just too lucky as there was only one copy of the magazine (together with the calendar) left,so i just grabbed and paid.Forgot to mention,after that i fetched my friend Sam back to his hostel,he forgot to photocopy the tutorial exercise for me !!!!!But anyway.....

The calendar is in my room now,happy!!

I will try to find another copy of the calendar so that i can host a mini giveaway to appreciate your support for DKPOPNEWS all the time,i will do my job tomorrow,so please pray hard that i can find another similar one,and of course show your support by commenting on our articles,cheers!

[News] 110105 “Comeback with a Sexy Pop Song”..G.NA, First Full Album in January

G.NA, the super rookie who made her entrance last year and quickly emerged as the next generation sexy queen, will release her first full album.

A source from CUBE Entertainment revealed that "G.NA will release her first full album on the third week of January, fourth week at the latest" to a TV Reporter on the 5th.

In the current Music Industry that is made up of a majority of Singles, it is unusual for a rookie to release a full album right after a mini album. It shows that they have that much confidence. The source also said "Many good songs were received and recorded. The full album is being released in order to make sure it will give her strength".

G.NA, who became renown as a 'natural sexy beauty' through her charming voice and the moderate choreography in her debut song 'I'll Back Off So You Can Live', is predicted to return once again and show off another natural look rather than a strained one. Her title track will be in a pop style, and the source further revealed that "The song itself is good, but G.NA's remarkable vocals are magnified".

Previously, CUBE Entertainment's CEO Hong Seungseong stirred anticipation about G.NA's new album, saying "G.NA is first up in the new year of the rabbit" and "She is at the final stages of preparing to tackle the stage with these great songs. Please ready your ears to listen to G.NA's beautiful singing that will be released very soon."

On another note, G.NA quickly became known as the super rookie after her participation in the unlucky girl group 5 Girls and her first release last year was a duet song with Rain 'What I Would Do If I Had A Lover' which became a trending topic. 2PM's Jang Wooyoung having an attachment for a kiss scene with IU has been most discussed lately.

Broadcasted on the 1st, KBS 2TV ' Star Entertainment News' went to the press conference to meet the actors of the drama 'Dream High', which will air on the 3rd on KBS 2TV.

This drama has caught much attention because of the casted actors, which include T-ara's Eunjung, 2PM's Wooyoung, Miss A's Suzy, IU and more. The day that 'Star Entertainment News' interviewed them they talked about lovelines between the characters.

In the drama, Wooyoung and IU will be in a relationship liking each other. At that time Jang Wooyoung said "if there is no kiss scene I will make a schedule and take it" and showed strong affection towards it. Also Wooyoung said that "In the drama, I have been casted for a Korean that has been studying abroad in America, so the members tutored me a lot" and showed a fluent pronounciation in English.

Also Taecyeon said, "If it's for the drama ratings, I can take more than 100 kiss scenes" showing his ambition for the drama.

Army-idol Changmin and Nation's grandmother Kim Taewon has been chosen as 2011's oldest looking star.

Aired on the 2nd on MBC TV 'Section TV Entertainment Communication', they were chosen as 2011's oldest looking star, giving them much humilation.

1st was the nation's grandmother Kim Taewon, and we wish him fast recovery. He turned 47 this year but because of his weak body, it is making everyone concerned.

Will 2011 be the year the hallyu idols make a difference? With the disbandment of TVXQ, Japan was in a quiet state until the girl groups, Girls' Generation and Kara made their debut and set the fire back into the Japanese entertainment industry. Among the hallyu groups, YG's male and female groups, Big Bang and 2NE1 have started their activities and have shown their confidence by saying, "We will definitely succeed on the Japanese stage." YG's president, Yang Hyun Seok, have commented on the activities at Japan.
"Starting in May, for about 2 months, Big Bang will hold a Japan tour concert and they're preparing for it. Right now, they've been going to Japan once a week and have been promoting a small out but starting in 2011, they'll be more aggressive and offensive in their promotion tactics."
Following Big Bang and 2NE1, they're not your usual hallyu idol or your girl group because they've split up their promotion schedule so that they'll be able to promote both in Japan and Korea, making their promotion techniques unique.

President Yang continued by saying,
"The proposal of 2NE1′s debut in Japan was proposed since last year. But because they're a group that debuted not too long ago and are still rookies, we believed it was best to focus our attention on promoting them in Korea so it has been a bit late. After completely finishing their activities for their first full length album, they will officially debut in Japan during February."
But what are his thoughts on the success of Big Bang and 2NE1 in the Japanese industry.

For Big Bang, he said,
"It was suggested with our partner in Japan that we split the promotions in Japan and Korea and that the focus on promoting one thing at a time. They'll promote their Korean album during March and April and their Japanese concert will be during May and June, along with other promotions, and from July through September, they'll promote another Korean album and from October to November, they'll promote another Japanese album."
He continued by saying,
"They're well known in Korea already and in Japan, they're getting to that point so we believe it would be best to focus on their promotions and we believe by doing that, we'll get good results."
Truthfully, before Big Bang started their official promotion in Japan, starting in early 2011, many fans have been interested already and they've been awarded 2 years straight with the Japanese Record award.

In the case of 2NE1, they have formed a partnership with TVXQ's company, Avex, and already, their future in Japan seems bright. President Yang said, "The owner of Avex have taken a liking of 2NE1 for a while and they proposed on working with 2NE1 so the staff of YG have been anticipating greatly for 2NE1′s debut in Japan."

2NE1′s first Japan promotion will be during February and March, for 2 months and within that time frame in May and June, they will be preparing for their Korean album that will be announced in May and June.
