Heard that maybe SHINee will be back to Singapore for Singapore E Entertainment Awards 2011 on the 2nd of April!? Hosted by Lianhe Wanbao, Radio 1003, omy and U-Weekly, it's an annual music awards concert, and of course SHINee fans wouldn't forget they came before for the last awards show!

This year, they have a new award category called "E Entertainment Korean Artist Popularity Award" (e乐人气韩星). Whoever tops this category would come, and SHINee is one of the nominees.

Of course, even though SHINee is nominated, the confirmed guest list is not out yet. Maybe some other groups will grace this show..?

More details will be out on the the 7th of February. Stay tuned!

On Asahi TV's 'Music Station' aired on January 28th, TVXQ, SNSD and Avril Lavigne appeared on the show and according to the MCs of 'Music Station', it was a rather rare to have 3 foreign artistes coming on the show.

During the interview, Sooyoung expressed her admiration for Avril Lavigne and hopes that one day, Avril Lavigne could write songs for SNSD as well. Upon hearing that, Avril Lavigne smiled cutely and said, "What the hell! Why not?". The crowd gave a loud round of applause at her answer. SNSD and Avril Lavigne looked at one another and laughed.

[NEWS] How Much Did SM Town Live in Tokyo Earn?

On January 25 and 26, 2011, "SM TOWN" had their world tour at Tokyo's National Yoyogi Stadium.

This time, DBSK showed that they were going strong. Groups like SHINee and SNSD have gotten attention as the "New Faces" on the Japanese stage.
Even though SHINee hasn't debuted officilly in Japan yet, you could see that they already have a lot of fans. SNSD has a lot of female fans who want to be like them.
A person close to SM Entertainment stated that in ticket sales alone for these 2 performances, SM has potentially earned around 300 million yen (~3.6 million USD). The price of the tickets were 12,800 yen (~154 USD) and all 12,000 seats were sold out during each performance. The shirts, clothing, albums and character goods are also expected to have sold well.
They claim these performances were a "preliminary performance" to April's Tokyo Dome performances. Simply, just in ticket sales for the Tokyo Dome performance, 100,000 people should attend and that would make SM earn more than 1 billion yen (~12 million USD).

[NEWS] Lee Joon – Jae Kyung’s impromptu meeting; a soft ‘pink atmosphere’

Rainbow's JaeKyung had an impromptu meeting with Lee Joon's 'mothers' during the show.

During one of the corners on KBS 2TV's program "Oh My School", scheduled to be broadcast on 5th February 2011, JaeKyung and Lee Joon's mothers were on the show and they both expressed they have good impressions on each other's son and daughter. This caused a pink atmosphere in the show.

When each mother had their turn to boast about their child, Lee Joon's mother was asked by the MCs "How do you think JaeKyung is as a daughter-in-law?" and replied "Other people's business is not mine."She caught JaeKyung's eyes and wittily told her to keep in contact.

Later, after Lee Joon revealed that "My mother's cooking abilities are average", Lee Joon's mother caused a burst of laughter when she indirectly expressed that she sees JaeKyung as a potential daughter-in-law through her reply, "JaeKyung's mother is a culinary researcher. You only need one person in the house to be good at cooking, right?"

At this, JaeKyung's mother didn't disagree and replied with a smile. JaeKyung and Lee Joon were embarrassed and cleared the buzz by saying that they are at a loss.

Singer Kim Bumsoo and Taeyeon's duet '달라(Different)' will be released on January 31st at 12am KST and it will be the first song from Kim Bumsoo's 7th album 'SOLISTA: Part 2′ (scheduled to be released in April) to be unveiled.

Taeyeon, who is SNSD's lead vocalist has always been Kim Bumsoo's favorite junior singer and he expressed his pleasure in working and participating in the duet with Taeyeon. Kim Bumsoo is currently busy working on his new album 'SOLISTA: Part 2′. Kim Bumsoo's '나타나(Appear)' which is the ending OST for drama 'Secret Garden' has been receiving lots of love from fans and viewers.

Korea's top singer Lee Hyori has landed herself in the centre of attention yet again, and this time, with the Hong Kong locals.

On the 26th of this month, Hyori was in Hong Kong filming for a jeans commercial, thus causing the airport to become extremely crowded and difficult. However, despite all the commotion and danger, when an enthusiastic fan nearly tripped while attempting to run towards her, Hyori helped the fan and prevented him/her from falling. Hyori's warm-hearted action of putting her fans before herself touched the hearts of many and showed exactly how much she loves her fans.

The Hong Kong Press who witnessed the incident commented, "Ofcourse it is no surprise she is the most popular celebrity in Korea", and, "Most stars would have ignored such a thing and walked away but she is different. What a great person."

Netizens in Hong Kong have expressed similar views, "Not only does she have a beautiful face, but she also has a beautiful soul", and, "I have seen her often on Korean variety shows and found her to be very laid back. I always assumed her laid back and slightly manly image was just her concept but now I can see that her personality is real. She is very loveable."

On January 27, Coca-Cola held it's annual Sports Award for the 16th year running.


The event was filled with athletes that have made a mark in the sports scene. But the performers in the event, T-ara, seemed to have made a mark worthy of praise from everyone.

In the event, T-ara came to entertain the atheletes there. They performed their hit songs like 'Bo Peep Bo Peep' and 'Why Are You Like This?'. They came with 2-less members as Hyomin and Jiyeon were out for their own schedules.

But what really got the attention of the people was not the missing members, but the wardrobe malfunctions that the members faced. In the video(by TV Report) of their performance, T-ara were constantly seen handling their dresses that seem to be falling off.

Without proper handling, this would have been an easy target for netizens to make fun of. Yet, the girls seemed calm and professional, exactly knowing what to do. Though evident, their actions went well with the dance, by putting their hands on top of their chest, slowly pulling up the outfits. Leader Boram even consciously zipped her jacket up to protect from further accidents. 

New addition Hwayoung also experienced it, as she was swiftly pulling her dress up. Eunjung's outfit was constantly falling off of her aswell, but she was making sure that nothing extreme will happen. 

Last month, lead vocalist Soyeon experienced this aswell, as her zipper for her outfit couldnt close because of her microphone. Putting this into consideration, Soyeon thought of how to hide the unzipped back while still giving a great performance.

[News] Junsu's iPhone is Shown to be Damaged

After going to the salon and on his way to a restaurant, Junsu pulled out his iPhone. Shot in the back seat of a van, a picture of Junsu's stylist scrolling through funny pictures on her cell phone as a curious Junsu watched is shown. He then brought out his own phone, but the LCD screen was shattered though still functional. The Sports Chosun journalist asked Junsu if it should be fixed but Junsu said there is no need and that "there's no problem with the functionality."

Junsu lives with his manager as well as his multiple cats. On his shattered phone, Junsu started looking at the multiple pictures of his cats that he has stored. As he went through the pictures, Junsu seemed like a dad who was looking at his newborn child.

[News] Oh Ji Ho, 2AM Jung Jin Woon to face each other as forwards in basketball

Actor Oh Ji Ho and 2AM Jung Jin Woon will meet at the basketball court. They will have the position as forward in an all-star basketball game.

KBL, the pro basketball league, will hold an all-star match on January 30 at Jamsil Stadium. The match between Rainbow Stars and Phoenix will begin at noon (12.10 KST).

Rainbow Stars will include Song Joong Ki, 2AM Jung Jin Woon, Lee Hwi Jae, and Seo Kyung Suk. Phoenix will include actors Son Ji Chang and Oh Ji Ho.

Fans may expect a match of 3-point shoot if the game turns out to be a close game.
