On January 3rd,the SS501 leader/actor was featured in episode one of “Dream High“. Now, the question is…Has his acting improved since his “Boys Over Flowers” days?

Kim Hyun-joong was criticized for his beginner acting ability in the hit 2009 drama “Boys Over Flowers“. In 2010, viewers were still very critical of his Seung-jo role on “Mischievous Kiss“.

With his recent cameo appearance, do you believe he has he succeeded in his newest acting skit?

I loved his over-acting! Honestly, Little Yonsama may not be 100%,but he is trying. I’m a Hyun-joong fan and I think with hard work (and Bae Yong-joon’s help) he will be at the top of his game in no time.

On January 1, 2011, Stephanie posted a picture of her performing ballet during a performance. She is currently taking time off after injuring her back to pursue dance professionally. In 2009, Stephanie was accepted into the dance program at the Korean National University of Arts.

In the picture, Stephanie looks like a professional ballerina, but some fans are worried about her weight loss.

2011 is kicking off with the comeback of many male idol groups. Competition is expected to be fierce.

DBSK, Big Bang (GD & TOP‘s duo & Seung-ri‘s solo album), MBLAQ, Infinite, Teen Top, and various other groups are all releasing and promoting new albums. The music scene that was dominated by girl groups for the past few months is expected to be overturned.

DBSK is promoting their new song, “Why (Keep Your Head Down)” while Big Bang‘s new unit, GD & TOP, are promoting various songs like “HIGH HIGH” and “OH YEAH“. Seung-ri of Big Bang will also promote his solo album this January. MBLAQ has also jumped into the competition with the release of their official first album. They started promoting one of their two title tracks, “Cry“.

After months of domination by female idol groups and solo artists, many music fans are taking a greater interest in the popular male idol groups that are back.

South Korea’s famous hiphop couple has been selected to model for the cosmetics brand, The Body Shop. A representative from The Body Shop stated that they chose the couple because they both have a healthy and free image that best represents the young generation. The Body Shop also thought that Tiger JK and Yoon Mi-rae are popular figures in Korean pop culture, which would help in the success of the various campaigns.

From the month of January, the couple will actively participate in campaigns sponsored by The Body Shop, to advertise the brand.

Never thought that Tiger JK and Yoon Mi-rae would be modeling for a cosmetics brand, but aren’t you curious and excited to see the results?

Suzy is under fire for her acting in “Dream High”

Episode one of KBS‘s new drama “Dream High” gained 10.7% of viewers,but the MissA member is the new center of attention.

MissA was one of the most popular new girl groups of 2010. Their debut single “Bad Girl Good Girl” even gave SHINee’s Lucifer a run for its money! However, Suzy‘s acting in “Dream High“is making viewers very angry.

“It was to the point where I couldn't even continue watching”

"She's the queen of horrible acting"

The comments above are just a couple of the many negative responses she received for her debut. Suzy landed her first leading role in “Dream High” and the audience claims that her facial expressions and dialogue make it appear that she is just reading words.

2pm’s Woo-young couldn’t escape criticism either. Many stated that his uncomfortable facial expressions were out-of-place.

I haven’t seen episode one,so I can’t tell you if their statements are too harsh. This is Suzy and Woo-young’s first drama production, so they should be a little understanding. On the other hand, what is the point of auditioning if the very best actors are not chosen?
