[News] Singapore suju fans calls for SS4 after watching their first SS3

To some fans, Super show 3 Singapore(SS3SG) might just be another concert they just saw but to most of the fans in singapore, the super show 3 concert that was held yesterday is a dream come true.

Many of the fans in singapore had their dream acheived by watching their first super show 3 concert and seeing their idols live for the first time. Previously, when super junior came to singapore for the first time to be the spokesperson for Samsung Galaxy phone, many of the fans missed it as the venue only accomodates 1600 fans. This time round, more than 10000 fans came to watch and it was an amazing concert.
Most fans were speechless at their performances and some could only place their lightstick down and watch their performance in awe.

Some of our DKP authors(including me), who were super junior fans took this opportunity to take a closer look at Super Junior's awesome performances, stages and we were simply awed by them.

Super Junior was in great demand even before they had a concert in Singapore as fans asked for a Singapore stop during Super show 2. After watching Super Show3, many fans were excited as they eagerly asked for a Singapore stop in Super show 4(SS4).
SS4 was trending on twitter worldwide trend because singapore fans can't stop talking about it.

[News] Navi's "Well Done" is the most downloaded song on Monkey3!

One of the major music portals in South Korea, Monkey3, recently revealed their weekly song chart ranking that was recorded from January 24th until January 30th. It was revealed that Navi's "Well Done" was the most downloaded song during that period, vying up with SeeYa's "Your Gorgeous" who came second. This is indeed, her most successful release to date ever since her debut in 2008.





Navi who recently released her first full-length album entitled "Hello" two weeks ago, has been actively promoting her album through various music shows. The singer also revealed that she will expand her activities on variety shows as well. Lets hope that she will gain more success in the future.

After power-vocal group 'SeeYa' said their final goodbyes to their fans on the January 30th episode of SBS' Inkigayo, many stars have finally said their goodbyes, as it was a good run for the group.

But Hyomin will seem to be a fan of them till the end. On her twitter, Hyomin posted, "See You always, See You again. I am still a fan of my Unnies." which touched the hearts of many.

She added, "I will continue cheering for you! SeeYa fighting!"

[News] HanBanDo States "...Kim Jaejoong, We're Still In Discussion, Nothing's Confirmed"

The production company of 'HanBanDo (The Korean Peninsula)' released a statement regarding the rumors of Jang Dong Gun, Ha Ji Won and Kim Jaejoong starring in the new drama.

During a phone conversation on the 31th with Sports Today, a representative of the drama stated, "We heard of the news through online articles, but we're still in discussion regarding the cast list and nothing has been confirmed yet."

This representative also added that, "These actors know that they are being discussed for the respective roles. We think reporters chose a select few of all those being discussed to report," and "We don't know what to do because these reporters wrote articles that made it sound like actors are confirmed to appear when they're not."

Jang Dong Gun's agency also stated, "There are many dramas and movies Jang Dong Gun is considering at this point and 'HanBanDo' happens to be one of them," and "Because the movie 'My Way' is scheduled to film until autumn this year, he may not appear if his schedule doesn't match that of the drama."

On the other hand, 'HanBanDo' is a drama centered around a unified Korea and is said to have investments of 100 billion Won. A broadcasting company has not been chosen yet and it is planned to air in October.

[News] Kim Junsu’s “Tears Of Heaven” Musical Additional Tickets – 3rd Round On 31 January

A third and final round of tickets sale will be open on 31 January for additional tickets to Kim Junsu's musical "Tears of Heaven".

On the 28th, the production company for "Tears of Heaven" said, "For the 30,000 passionate fans of Kim Junsu, who did not manage to get a ticket to the musical, we have specially prepared this for a third and final round."

Sales for 4,500 tickets to the third and final round will be open at 1.35pm (KST) on 31 January. The representative said, "Because of his definite star ticket power (1st round: 15,000 tickets sold out in 5 mins; 2nd round:13,000 tickets sold out in 3.5mins), in order to see Xiah Junsu's performance, you need to be fast in making reservations."

JYJ member Kim Junsu (Xiah Junsu) expressed, "I'm really thankful to all my fans who like my musicals! (Since) a few days ago, the lighting and audio systems for the musical are really perfect. 'Tears of Heaven' is an exciting piece of work comparable to Broadway and I believe it will be a great motivation to me."

The large scale musical "Tears of Heaven", which depicts the painful love story that unfolds in the midst of the Vietnam War, will have its first performance on 1 February at the Seoul National Theatre.

At January 30th broadcast of MBC 'News Magazine 2580′, the main topic surfaced was titled 'JYJ and Kara, why are they?', the topic focused and brought in recent 'KARA situation' and JYJ conflict with their former agency SM Entertainment in the spotlight.

JYJ Kim Junsu said, "We can not do our activities is a strange thing. As a Korean singer in South Korea yet being so difficult to stand on stage, this is the most unfortunate thing as a singer."

Kim Junsu also added, "In my opinion, a Korean entertainment industry where artists can have equal relations (with their agency) and also be able to sing and dance seems to be what everyone in entertainment industry want."

[News] Han Ji Min: I Want To Star Opposite A Male Idol

Actress Han Ji Min has expressed that she would like to star opposite an idol-born actor.

During an interview with Edaily on the 27th, which was the release of the movie "Detective K" (directed by Kim Suk Yoon), Han Ji Min said, "Recently, I watched the acting of idol members and I was surprised."

Up until now, Han Ji Min has always acted with older actors like Lee So Jin, Uhm Tae Woong and So Ji Sub in dramas as well as in this movie, with Kim Myeong Jin. Han Ji Min said, "In the past I learnt a lot about acting from actors who have an age gap with me and it was really fun, but now I want to try acting with younger actors."

This is especially so when she watched the acting of idol-born actors Taecyeon (2PM) and Yoochun (JYJ), which she thought was very well done.

Han Ji Min said, "From Cinderella's Sister and SungKyunKwan Scandal, I could see differences in their performances every time and I finally realized that there are, in a way, some similarities in singing and acting."

[News] Japanese Fans Donate To Polio Patients For Jaejoong’s Birthday

To commemorate the 26th birthday of JYJ member Kim Jaejoong, Japanese fans donated 204,348 bottle caps.
These bottle caps were then exchanged for enough Polio vaccine for 250 people, and the fans were known to have collected the items for an entire year.
In addition, Japanese fans, who flew to Korea to attend the recent Lotte Duty Free fan meeting in Seoul, sang happy birthday to the star to celebrate his 26th birthday.
Jaejoong, who expanded his fanbase through his successful debut into the Japanese drama industry, was able to prove his unchanging popularity amongst Japanese fans through these events.

성종은 최근 OSEN과의 인터뷰에서 기억에 남는 팬의 선물을 묻자 "얼마 전에 인형놀이 세트를 받았다. 인형에 옷도 입히고 화장도 하고 그런 것이었는데.."라고 말하며 웃어 보였다. '남자'인 본인에게는 다소 놀라웠던 선물.

한 편 인피니트는 이번 2집 미니앨범을 통해 '강력한 신예'로 자리매김했다. 이번 미니 앨범은 타이틀곡 '비포 더 던(BTD, Before the dawn)' 외에도 감성적인 팝댄스 넘버 'CAN U SMILE', '몰라', '마음으로'에 이르기까지 전곡이 타이틀이라고 해도 손색이 없을 정도로 높은 완성도를 자랑한다.특히 와이어 액션같은 군무 '전갈춤'으로 화제를 모았다.

'Want to become that kind of person who 'will devote all of his youth to his work'
This busy and supreme Korean artist has attracted attention from us as an artist now. He might not be so familiar to our readers. However, his insatiable passion and ambition towards his career is really outstanding and appreciative.


I want to be those pioneers who can initate changes in the traditions
Has he ever suffered because of it? No matter what, TOP still chose to take this path. He made such a surprising confession in Japan despite the fact that he has becoming more and more popular in Japan, not to mention in Korea.

'There has been such a period of time that after I had finished all of my acting and shooting, I returned to my room which I have no companion. Suddenly, I could no longer distinguish whether I was in the reality or not. Yes, I have had experienced such a period of time before. I have suffered insomnia because of this too. The frequency was not low too.'
We have known TOP beforehand for his brilliant standard of singing and his charming stage performance. He is also a member of the very popular band 'BIGBANG' in Japan, not to mention in Korea. He is characterized by his handsome look and surprisingly distinguished 'tenor' voice. His performances are always fashionable and masculine which gives us an unique feeling of existence. He is not only popular among girls but also boys.

'When I was invited to take part in the film, I was doing a Japan tour and preparing my SOLO album at the same time, so I once thought that I should reject the offer. However, after I had read the script, I changed my mind. I thought it might be not easy to handle all the things at the same time but it might be another opportunity for me to discover something.'

The Korean War which was portrayed in the film was really existed. It is a story about the Korean army and student soldiers. The film set against the background of the attack of the North Korea, although they did not have any war experience, they still chose to fight in the war to protect their country. The film also depicted the cruelty and instability of war. TOP's character moved the audience to tears by his story. In Korea, there are many people whose heart chord are struck by his role who suffered of insecurity and fright but at the same time upheld his identity as the students leader and finally transformed into a strong character. He also won the best newcomer prize of 'Oscar of Korea' – The Blue Dragon Film Festival but what he got not only limited to a prize.

He is also happy about there are youngsters who pay attention to this film for he has taken a role in it. For him, who has always been surrounded by the scream of girls, it was not easy for him to take up such a challenge and even worse, films about wars are those would be dodged by the younger generation. However, when he heard that his fans and the younger generation have discussed the film on the internet, he was really touched and grateful.

'As a new born generation, we don't understand what a war is but we cannot say because of our ignorance, then the things are not existed in the world. If my taking part in this film can make youngsters feel something about the wars, I do think I have done a really meaningful job.'

'Yes, I am a singer but I have not taken my image and popularity into consideration when I decided to take the role in the movie. What I was thinking is I really wanted to yell and convey some messages to people.'
' I have always had strong feelings about conveying messages through my songs or acting. However, I do not think that I should always be the role model of others. As an artist, there are times that I want to change the world and speak out the truth of things happening around us. I always want to present something new to the audience and sometimes, I do feel the pressure of it is very strong.Maybe,it is the destiny of an artist.'

What we feel about these sentences is TOP is really proud of being an icon of the generation and a singer. He should be able to make clear of his identity now, right?
'However, even until now, I would also reflect what I have done within a day on my own. Yesterday, today, and the stuff which is going to happen tomorrow, I remember all of them one by one. It seems that I like torturing myself. (laugh) However, I think, if I do not accumulate such kind of reflection, no new ideas would be come up in my mind no matter it is lyrics or acting skills. Therefore, I am that kind of person who cannot stop torturing himself. There is pain in such a process but I know such kind of suffering would be transformed into a great source of power. That's why I am not scared or unsecured. '

He really enjoys what he is doing now. TOP said comparing to falling in love and playing, he prefers totally obsessed in his work.
'For example, when I was recalling my past memories, I have also the memory of 'loving someone so crazily'. But when compared to love memories, I want to become that kind of person who will 'devote all of his youth to his career'. Then, when I recall my memories in the future, I can proudly say I have not wasted even 1 day of my life since I had worked really hard '

There are loads that I want to do. There are loads that I want to achieve.
'What do I have to achieve then I can be called to be achieve success? I do not really know but I think the definition of success is different for each of us. And it varies according to our value system too. No matter who we are, only we know what we are striving for.'
Although he thinks like this but we really want to know to him, who enjoys great popularity in both Japan and Korea, what successful means to him—For this youngster who has just been 23, he said with a shy smile wearing on his face,

'I think it would not be appropriate for me to define what success is since I am just too young and immature now. However, I want to bring great influence to the world like what Beatles and Rolling Stones did. I want to affect the generation like what they did to us and be an 'era turner'. I want the history can mark down the era 'before and after BIGBANG' and 'before and after TOP'. I think it is a really worthwhile target for me to strive for.'

His dream is big but we know from his manner, he is not arrogant. In Japan, if possible, he would go to have sushi and if he can get one more BE@BRICK, he would be so happy. Instead of saying he like things that are Japanese, we should rather describe him as being close to the Japanese youth of his age.
'But I have not had any in-depth conversation with any Japanese artists. If there is a chance, I want to discuss with them about how we think of music, acting and future plans, etc.'
What will the Japanese artists tell him at that time? Will their hearts be captured by this very self-displined youth?

Son Dongwoon had completed his college entrance exams on November of last year and was able to be accepted through the admissions at the Gun Kook University department of movie arts. On this day, Lee Jongsuh had also been accepted as well.

These two people had joined the same class for the year of 2011 along with 4minute's Hyunah and the actress Suhwoo. They will be joining their sunbaes who include, actress Kim Jungeun, Lee Dahae, Park Hanbyul, actor Lee Minki, Lee Minho, SHINee's Minho, Hwangwoo Seulae, Yoo Ahin, and more.

Lee Jongsuk had gained popularity through 'Secret Garden' and Son Dongwoon will be partaking in the 'WELCOME BACK TO BEAST AIRLINE' BEAST encore concert opening on the 18th and 19th of February.

SONEs have done a good deed in SNSD's name again!

SONEs have joined hands and gathered their strength again to organize a donation drive to help the patients of Lou Gehrig's Disease. SNSD's online fan cafe members said, "In the name of SNSD, we have donated 1 million Won to the Korean ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) Association".


According to a team leader, "Although the amount is not huge, we hope that it would help a bit. The fact that all fansites joined hands made this effort a meaningful one". Another member added, "In the future, we would like to participate and lead such voluntary event again".
