Kim Ji-woo, actress who is currently acting as Elle Woods (rotating roles with Jessica of SNSD and Lee Ha-ni) in the musical version of “Legally Blonde“, has been selected as the cover model for the first issue of “the ; N” magazine.

For the cover of this new magazine, Kim Ji-woo showed her mature and sexy side rather than her innocent and friendly image. The editor-in-chief of the magazine, Lee Jung-il, stated that Kim Ji-woo expressed the confidence and charm of a woman in her 20s very well. He praised her for the wonderful pictures.

SBS drama “Sign” vs. MBC drama “My Princess”

On January 5, 2010, the SBS drama “Sign” and the MBC drama “My Princess” will both air during the same time slot.

The SBS drama “Sign” is a medical investigation drama starring Park Shin-yang, Kim Ah-joong, Jung Gyu-woon, and Um Ji-won. The MBC drama “My Princess” is of a completely different genre. It is a light romantic comedy about the love story between Korea’s first princess (Kim Tae-hee‘s character who in one day suddenly rises up to the position of Korea’s princess from a regular college student) and an heir to one of the country’s leading corporations (Song Seung-hun‘s character). Park Ye-jin and Ryu Soo-young have also been cast in “My Princess“.

Regarding the viewership ratings, the cast of the dramas gave very different answers. Um Ji-won of “Sign” said ratings could reach 40%, where as Song Seung-hun of “My Princess” hoped for ratings with two digits.

… the SBS drama “Athena: Goddess of War“.

The actor and singer appeared on the seventh episode, which aired on January 3, 2010. Jin-gu came out as a NTS agent who was acting as a bodyguard for Doctor Kim Myung-gook. He showed off his charisma through his stunts and actions.

BoA came out as herself, as a singer named BoA. She fit the role of a sensitive singer preparing for a performance. Lee Jung-woo (Jung Woo-sung) and Chae-hee (Lee Jia) were her bodyguards, as they expected something to happen at the concert regarding the kidnapping of Doctor Kim Myung-gook. During the scenes with BoA, SHINee also made a surprise appearance as singers under the same management company.

Kim Seung-woo also made a brief appearance as Park Chul-young, the character of a North Korean agent he played in the KBS drama “Iris“.

All the cameos have been scene stealers so far. Haven’t they?

On January 2nd, F(x)‘s tomboy,Amber,came back to Korea for SHINee!

SHINee performed the second leg of their solo concert mini tour in Seoul on January 1st and 2nd. On the second day, an unexpected Juliette attended their show. Shawols claimed they saw the fifth member of the algebraic girl band at the concert.

Recently, SM Entertainment stated this to the press:

“Amber has returned to Korea for the year-end. It’s true that she attended SHINee's concert. Her condition has improved a great deal after resting in the U.S. Amber will continue to rest while preparing for f(x)'s next album. We are currently deciding on the date for their comeback."

Now, that the missing NU ABO girl is back…..Are you anticipating f(x)‘s return to the K-pop scene?

Park Yu-chun reveals his girlfriend?

Fans were surprised to find that Park Yu-chun revealed his girlfriend through Twitter.

On January 2, 2010, Yu-chun posted on his twitter, “My girlfriend!!! The best!!! I love you!!!” Many fans stated that they almost had a heart attack if not for the attached picture of a snowman. Yu-chun was referring to the snowman as his girlfriend.

Yu-chun has received a total of three awards at the 2010 KBS Drama Awards and is currently a member of JYJ along with former DBSK members, Jae-joong and Jun-su.

DBSK, now consisting of two members (Yun-ho & Chang-min), revealed their new album title song “Why (Keep Your Head Down)” on January 3, 2010. The song has climbed up to first place on the charts within a day, showing DBSK‘s popularity. Even with Jae-joong, Yu-chun, and Jun-su leaving the group, DBSK seems to be going strong.

This is DBSK‘s first album as a duo and fans are excited for the KBS “Music Bank” performance on January 7, 2010.
