[News] Lee Min Ho Awarded as the Best Dresser

Actor Lee Min Ho's outfit from the year end awards show is a hot topic.

From last year's MBC Drama Awards, Lee Min Ho's outfit received a lot of attention for its fashion.

His sleek, navy colored suit with a black outline showed a sense of fashion at the awards show.

On the other hand, he showed up at the KBS Drama Awards with a more comfortable looking black suit with a red shirt which was the highlight of the outfit, and matched with the red carpet.

A fashion critique stated, "The black colored collar and the bow tie highlighted his navy colored suit which made his outfit look simple yet stylish. His tall height and small face fit perfectly with his outfit…" and awarded him as the best dresser.

Lee Min Ho's stylist designed both his navy suit and black suit, and many celebrities such as Hyun Bin from "Secret Garden" requested for the black suit with the red shirt.

Jung Hye Jin, Chief Designer of EAG and Lee Min Ho's current stylist, stated, "Lee Min Ho has a really nice body structure. His legs are long, so it was difficult trying to find outfits that would fit him besides some overseas brands, so I prepare a lot for his outfits," and, "Instead of having him wear the usual black outfit at the awards show, especially for someone who's known to be a hot and young fashionista, I thought a darker blue color would highlight his amazing body instead."

Lee Min Ho won the Excellence Award in 2010 for his appearance in MBC Drama "Personal Taste," and is currently preparing for his upcoming drama in May called "City Hunter."

SNSD are on the brink of global domination, especially with the collaboration with Intel Asia lately. We have also seen some early signs of Europe turning PINK soon with media and website coverage involving the girls.

The wave does not stop in Europe though as it has made its way to South America especially Brazil and Peru where fan sites are mushrooming. These sites have done some amazing stuff to spread Soshi love in the region.

Recently, on a special kpop program aired by a Peruvian TV station in Chiclayo, SNSD was mentioned and some cuts from 'Oh!' MV was shown. During broadcast, the host mentioned:

Host: But if you think that only girls enjoy the fever of asian music, you're wrong. There is something for boys too. I introduce you the Korean Divas, a group known as SNSD or Girls' Generation.

Host: They are voted as the 'Best Girl Group of Korea' with millions of views on YouTube.

Korean media sees the second half of 2010 and 2011 as the golden era of idol groups in Korea. In fact, the Kpop phenomenon is spreading beyond the boundaries of Korean peninsular and this is just the beginning. It is possible that in a few years time, the whole world would be listening to Kpop. Of course, if there is an idol group who could make such a dream comes true, it has to be SNSD!

[News] Pansori maestro Ahn Sookseon wants to perform with SNSD

One of the most popular educators of Korean traditional music, Ahn Sookseon expressed her desire to perform with SNSD.

On KBS 2TV's 'Free Time' aired on January 13th, Ahn Sookseon commented, "I have seen SNSD's performances. They are pretty and they performed well".

She added, "I want to introduce and present our music to SNSD, as well as teaching them Pansori (a genre of Korean traditional music)".

Maestro of Samul nori (a genre of Korean traditional percussion music), Kim Duksoo who was also present at the broadcast broke his silence, "Definitely. However, nowadays young people are not interesting in our music".

Ahn Sookseon who was born in a family of traditional music lovers was appointed as the Art Director for the National Changguk Team in 1997. She also gave lectures at Yongin University in 1998 and Korea National University of Arts in 2000.

At 6pm KST today (January 13th), The '2010 Daum Life On Awards' ceremony took place at the Grand Hall of El Tower situated in Yangjae-dong in Seocho-gu, Seoul.



Daum Communications whose target is to provide lifestyle-changing services for its users in 2010 organized the 'Life On Awards'. There are 22 categories of awards such as 'Cafe', 'Blog', 'View', etc with 28 winners in total.


Netizens have selected SNSD's 'Oh!' as the winner of the 'Music Video of The Year Award' and the 9 girls who dressed in all white were at the ceremony to collect their prize as well as to grace the stage with their 2010 hits 'Oh!' and 'Hoot'.

[News]Rain looks like a father to MBLAQ in a video clip which shows him teaching them how to dance

A video clip showing that singer Rain is directing his junior MBLAQ's choreography for their song "Stay", has been opened to the public.

In barely more than a minute of video clip made public by You Tube site last 11th, Rain was calmly seen appearing in a dance studio and directing MBLAQ's choreography.

In the clip, Rain just started directing their choreography after asking them how they were doing just fine, "You've been working very hard? You've been well prepared for the choreography?", and then he spoon fed them, actually demonstrating the choreography for 'Stay', the title track of their first regular album 'Blaq Style' released last 10th.

Netizens who saw this clip, wrote their comments, "Rain is like a father to MBLAQ," "Rain is a sensitive and caring man who loves his junior."

Meanwhile, MBLAQ's comeback show will be broadcast by Mnet TV's music program 'M! Countdown' upcoming 13th.

'Cry', a R&B style song, and 'Stay' accentuating MBALQ's intense performance, are set as the co-title track of their album and will show a conflicting mood. MBLAQ's first regular album has 12 songs having so many moods on it, including a song that Rain wrote.

Beast recently emerged as a 'hot' male idol group. Beast's official fan cafe member recently has surpassed 160000 people. In months, more than 20000 additional members is registered. And in the first half of the year, the member has reached 200000 people.

Beast now has the largest official fan cafe member, surpassed other male idol group such as Shinee (73000), MBLAQ (80000), and 2AM (60000). While the other group's official fan cafe member show a downward trend, Beast official fan cafe shows a rapid multiplication.

Currently Beast's official fan cafe circumstances is a threat for the nation's top male groups, such as Super Junior (230000 in 천휘룡(Cheonhwiryong) and 190000 in 온새미로(Onsaemiro)), 2PM (200000), and Big Bang (240000).

JYP audition for JYP entertainment gained attention because they have eliminated talented stars.

Recognized as a booster of 'mainstream' singer, IU also has experienced to be eliminated from JYP audition. IU's audition video in the most recent JYP Entertainment audition in 2008 has become a hot topic.

[News] Cover of ‘Banmal Song’ Single Revealed

The 'Banmal Song' will have an official release as a single.

The 'Banmal Song', which Jung Yonghwa composed and wrote himself, was shown on MBC's 'We Got Married 2′ and will be revealed to the fans with a new name on the 14th: "For the First-Time Couple in Love".

The single was part of a mission for 'We Got Married 2′ in which they had to film a UCC. Posted on Youtube, it received over 2 million hits. It has drawn much attention and parodies from different countries.

After the UCC debut, the interest of the fans were high and there were many requests and questions about the single release.
The song to be revealed has changed its name from 'Banmal Song' to 'For the First-Time Couple in Love (subtitle Banmal Song)'. It was rewritten as Jung Yonghwa's solo effort with an easy melody and a light acoustic sound with loving lyrics that allow new lovers to get closer to one another.

Currently, CN BLUE is performing in Japan, starting in Osaka and traveling to 4 different cities as part of their 'Zepp Tour' along with their new Japanese album.

"Singer Sandara Park…whether she has her hair tied up…or cut short…I thought she wasn't all that ugly but thought she looked like a normal looking girl."
Professor Ma, who is currently teaching at Yonsei University, saw Sandara Park in the "It Hurts" music video, which was the song on 2NE1′s first full length album, and commented on Sandara's lion hair.
In "It Hurts," Sandara Park acted out a character who was longing for the man that left her. In order to show the pain of breaking up, the long, tangled hair was a big help in expressing that. After seeing this, it left a big impression on Professor Ma that he wrote a poem.
"The hair comes down to the waist/the hair grew long/also the hair strands are tangled/the hair was given volume like a lion/she looks really sexy."
Professor Ma said, "Sandara Park has a normal looking face but because of the volumed hair, it was a surprise that she looked sexy. I want to give her a lot of points for being able to give off that kind of look."
His poem also said, "It's the victory of human beauty/so what if it was real hair/or a wig/you, remember this/that the days of natural looks have passed."
Professor Ma continued by saying, "The hair that Sandara Park has is definitely a wig. It left a big impression and I asked around and found out that anyone can buy this kind of hair for 95 dollars. But it doesn't matter if it's a wig. It's amazing that she's able to pull that off with human beauty," and he clapped for her hard work.
On the other hand, 2NE1 is planning on joining hands with Avex and is preparing to debut in Japan. They are also working on their American album with Will.I.Am.
