[News] KARA’s Japan reaction to Upcoming New Album is alarming high

It's only a month left for the album to be released but people have been taking a lot of interests in it. Jumping has been used as main theme song for FujiTV's popular information and news Program. Moreover, Japan music program has already looked for Kara's Jumping Jacket cover photos and showed great interests.

On 15 October, according to report from Japan's news source, survey has been conducted for average 17-year-old female of 20,000 people, KARA was chosen as Korean #1 artist. At the same day KARA appeared on Japan's most prestigious music program AsahiTV's Music Station and received a lot of interests.

It is not even two months yet since debut, which can be taken as newcomer, but already went on a lot of interviews, even fans from Japan has been spreading about 'Kara's Special'. Music Station is a music program in Japan which usually only top stars can appear but KARA's debut single 'Mister' able to appear in this program. This just demonstrates how much interests and popular KARA is in Japan.

Moreover, after broadcasted on Music Station, Mister's mobile music chart sky-rocketed, On 16 October, Kara's Mister re-enter Mobile music chart at #3 which was amazing. In addition, on Japan's portal site Yahoo search volume about KARA also increased exponentially.

Music Station is such an influential program, but compared to other artists that appeared on the program, KARA is obviously taking it by storm, as local music reps explained.

An official said,"It is very unusual to receive such a hot attention from a month before album release". "There's also been a lot of TV appearance requests. Kara is planning to promote 'Jumping' at the end of October onwards, including TV appearances and all related promotional activities.

KARA's 100% korean language Best Album which was released end of September ranked #2 on Oricon Weekly chart which makes KARA as the best rookie artist debut. Meanwhile, Kara's new single and album which will be released in November.

[NEWS] “IRIS” to be honored at Tokyo Drama Awards

Korean TV series "IRIS" will be receiving a special honor at a drama awards festival in Japan this month.

The show's producer Taewon Entertainment announced in a press release that "IRIS," which recorded viewership ratings of 10.1 percent for its premiere episode in Japan, will be honored with the foreign project award at the Tokyo Drama Awards 2010 to be held at the Meiji Memorial Hall on October 25.

Taewon also explained that Korean actor Lee Byung-hun, who played the male lead on the show, will be named as "Best Actor in Asia" at the ceremony.

"Lee's acting skills are incredible and 'IRIS' has been distributed to numerous countries worldwide. Not only did the show post high ratings but Lee has received favorable reviews as well," an official from the event was quoted as saying.

"IRIS," which aired in Korea from October 2009 to December 2009, starred several of the biggest names in the entertainment industry including Lee Byung-hun, Kim Tae-hee, Jung Joon-ho, Kim So-yeon and Big Bang member T.O.P.

The action-packed espionage series dominated the primetime lineup during its run, scoring viewership ratings of nearly 40 percent.

The CEO of Taewon Entertainment and Lee Byung-hun will be in Japan to attend the Tokyo Drama Awards at the end of this month.

[News] SM Entertainment does not have an official Twitter account

Sorry for the mistake. Previously, we reported that SM entertainment gets an Official Twitter account.
It was found out to be a fake account of SM Entertainment.

A Twitter was created under 'smtownent', claiming to be the official Twitter of SM Entertainment. However, it has been confirmed that the account is a fake.

SM Entertainment's supposedly official Twitter (http://twitter.com/smtownent) was created just recently on October 17th. The account linked to their official website, and even wrote very believable 'official' tweets regarding SM's artists, successfully deceiving a great portion of netizens.

The first tweet read, "[Official] Hello. This is S.M. Entertainment. This is information in regards to the micro-blog service, Twitter." They followed by listing the allegedly official Twitter accounts related to SM Entertainment and their artists. In particular, they wrote in English that SNSD Jessica's new Twitter (http://twitter.com/jessica_syj) was fake, and that they were notified that her original account was suspended.

They also wrote about the reason for f(x)'s Amber's absence. The account tweeted that she was still currently in America, resting due to her naturally weak ankle.

Despite the great lengths the individual behind this went to deceive netizens, it has been confirmed by SM Entertainment themselves that the Twitter is indeed fake.

During a phone interview between SM and Star News, SM stated, "The Twitter is not SM's official Twitter. SM have not yet created an official Twitter. We also heard about this news recently, and measures have been taken for this matter."

This Twitter account have been closed down as it have already been found out to be a fake & it does not exist anymore.

Saying that fake accounts are inevitable but hope the fans could help to report them and to support the legit accounts. I'm sure they will make announcements when their artist gets an accounts and most probably upcoming promotions? We'll see in time.
