Secret Garden’s badass Ha Ji-won Posted: 07 Oct 2010 10:38 PM PDT Ha Ji-won has been doing a lot of action lately, what with her blockbuster film Haeundae and the upcoming sci-fi movie Sector 7. Add new drama Secret Garden to the list, the upcoming fantasy-romance series that has just released its first stills. In the drama, Ha plays a stuntwoman who aspires to be a martial arts director. She meets our hero, played by Hyun Bin, and they get off to a bickering start — only to end up trading souls/bodies. Sungkyunkwan Scandal: Episode 10 Posted: 07 Oct 2010 08:20 PM PDT Dear Korean viewers, As people who directly influence the ratings every day, I’d like to grab you by the shoulders and give you a little shake. There’s a great gem of a drama here that so many of you are overlooking. I know that ratings aren’t everything and that there have been plenty of other series that were more severely overlooked despite their high level of quality (*cough* Tamra), but goddammit I love this series and would do near anything to see it get the ratings it deserves. Daemul claims top ratings spot over Runaway Posted: 07 Oct 2010 05:00 PM PDT
SBS’s Daemul premiered strong this Wednesday, and has shot to first place in the ratings race in its first week. KBS’s Runaway Plan B dropped a few percentage points and had to settle for second place. Wednesday’s episode drew identical numbers for both dramas: 18.0%. (Those are AGB numbers; TNS puts Daemul ahead with an 18% to Runaway‘s 15%. However, for consistency’s sake I use AGB unless otherwise indicated.) But Thursday’s episode had a clear winner, with Daemul pulling ahead to 21.5%. Runaway brought in a 16.2%. (...) © javabeans for Dramabeans, 2010. | Permalink | 56 comments | Add to del.icio.us |
Now for the second leads of Queen of Reversals Posted: 07 Oct 2010 11:40 AM PDT We’ve seen the previously released stills of the main leads of Queen of Reversals (that would be Kim Nam-joo and Jung Jun-ho). Now it’s Park Shi-hoo and Chae Jung-ahn‘s turn for some attention. Park’s stills come from the first episode, which airs on October 18, and he reportedly worked out especially hard for a week to get his abs into tip-top shape. Though really, they were pretty much tip-top anyway. If you’ve seen his previous dramas the sight of his abs is probably familiar to you (Prosecutor Princess, Iljimae) — though I’m betting not unwelcome! In the drama, he plays Gu Yong-shik, the youngest son in a chaebol family. (...) © javabeans for Dramabeans, 2010. | Permalink | 43 comments | Add to del.icio.us |
