Playful Kiss: Episode 12

Posted: 12 Oct 2010 05:47 AM PDT

I won’t lie. This episode was not easy to recap. I don’t have stellar expectations for this show to begin with, so I’m usually easy to please when it comes to Playful Kiss. Be cute. The end. But this episode left me shaking my fist in the air, and wanting to revoke Ha-ni’s membership from…being a GIRL.

Hyun Bin’s first stills from Secret Garden

Posted: 11 Oct 2010 10:20 PM PDT

It’s Hyun Bin‘s turn to be featured in stills from upcoming drama Secret Garden, which also co-stars Ha Ji-won (whom we saw in these first stills last week).

He plays the proud and eccentric owner of a department store, who only shows up to work two days of the workweek and yet manages to keep his sales high. Somehow he ends up swapping bodies/souls with a woman who is his complete opposite, a stuntwoman played by Ha. (...)

Sungkyunkwan Scandal: Episode 11

Posted: 11 Oct 2010 08:10 PM PDT

Dear beloved readers,

Please do not be confused. I am not Cassie sheathed in red pill clothing. We readjusted the recap schedule this week and you’re in for a surprise for the recap of episode 12. Anyway, our beloved Cassie will be back for episode 13 (which airs today, and I’m already doing a river dance of thanks to the drama gods). I never thought I’d say this, but thank goodness it’s Monday.

Love, red pill

Jang Geun-seok in Mary Stayed Out All Night

Posted: 11 Oct 2010 05:34 PM PDT

WHY IS HE SO PRETTY.

I know that refrain is going to get old, real fast, so I promise to try to cut it out from here on out. But seriously, Jang Geun-seok looks even more like a beautiful woman now, playing a hippie-boho musician in Mary Stayed Out All Night, than he did playing a purposely prettied-up idol star in You’re Beautiful.

Spring training takes Dr. Champ to the beach

Posted: 11 Oct 2010 04:25 PM PDT

Hard-bodied athletes frolicking on the beach? Yeah, that’s just one reason to watch Dr. Champ (or technically about a dozen reasons, if you count ‘em individually).

The following photos come from the SBS drama’s Episode 6, which airs tomorrow, October 12. In it, the judo players who live and train at the Taereung Olympic facility head to the beach for some spring training. Leading the pack are series lead Jung Kyeo-woon, playing the adorably goofball Ji-heon, and Jung Seok-won, his rival and teammate Sang-bong. Also prominently pictured is Shindong, who appears to be trying to swim in about a foot of water. Mayhap he ain’t the brightest bulb, but he is sweet.

Petty Romance releases teaser and posters

Posted: 11 Oct 2010 11:08 AM PDT

Petty Romance looks like a cute romantic comedy with a slightly suggestive premise — a hot-tempered male author of adult comics meets a woman faking her way as a sex columnist — and may as well have been called Our Slightly Risque Relationship, if only that title hadn’t already been claimed by a different Lee Seon-kyun project.

Here are the main posters and teaser clip of the upcoming film, which pairs Lee Seon-kyun and Choi Kang-hee for the second time, after playing a couple in 2008′s My Sweet Seoul. They were cute in that, but very restrained; this one looks a lot more fun. It appears her character is brought in to help with his writing process (story is his weak point), and then the sparks fly.
