Girls’ Generation reveal their guns Posted: 23 Oct 2010 02:46 PM PDT Watch these cowgirls in action! When they released the 11 second clip yesterday, I was quite disappointed by how short it was. So I gave them a call and asked them to release something a BIT longer. They seemed to have gotten my message as Girls’ Generation released a music video teaser for “Hoot” today! And boy do these girls look mighty fine! With each girl flaunting their unique rendition of a 70′s/Wild Wild West/Bond Girl look, their comeback stage is really something to anticipate about! Who knew nine girls can look so sexy holding a gun! I’ve got to say, I was pretty worried when I first saw the photos for their “Hoot” shoot. But after watching this clip, I’ve realized one thing: Girls’ Generation just aren’t photogenic! So, who do you think digests this new concept the best? |
Han Hyo-joo shows off her singing skills Posted: 23 Oct 2010 12:53 PM PDT Han Hyo-joo, actress known for her roles in SBS drama “Shining Inheritance” and MBC drama “Dong Yi“, recently revealed her singing skills on KBS “Yoo Hee-yeol’s Sketchbook“. She first sang “Afraid” by Oh Ji-eun and showed off her hidden guitar skills. Afterwards, she also sang a song that she composed titled “You are My Sweater“. Yoo Hee-yeol added the piano accompaniment to the song. Although the actress wasn’t fully recovered from the flu, she still tried her best to put on a good performance. When asked who she would perform a duet with if there were only Lucid Fall, Jang Gi-ha, and Yoo Hee-yeol, she, without a moment of hesitation, said Lucid Fall. Yoo Hee-yeol jokingly stated that he likes KBS drama “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” more than “Dong Yi“. Below is a clip of her performance. |

SHINee wants to see you in December! Posted: 23 Oct 2010 07:57 AM PDT
The news was announced on the band’s official website. Now, we have just one question…Will you be attending? If I lived in Seoul, I would be there in a heartbeat to say “Hello“! SHINee may be young, but they very talented. This event proves the winter weather will not slow them down. They have already braved the musical and acting elements. |
Posted: 22 Oct 2010 08:23 PM PDT Woah, hooters? No no. Not THOSE kind of hooters! After releasing individual photos and track list for their upcoming album, Girls’ Generation have released a short video teaser on the October 22nd airing of Music Bank. The message was simple: “We’re gonna come back next week on Music Bank and take away all the trophies!“ The hooters, one that hoots (whatever that means), will come back with title track “Hoot” where they will “hooter” (the act of hooting) their way back into the void hearts of the lonely men anxious for their comeback. Seems like Music Bank was pretty anxious too as they made a slight typo in the teaser. Can you guys spot it? |
Han Seung-yeon Takes a Tumble… almost Posted: 22 Oct 2010 05:55 PM PDT Han Seung-yeon of KARA almost fell during the press conference during the 2010 Asia Song Festival, Let’s go! G20 Concert. Representatives from different countries came to take part in the concert and the press conference. As the KARA members were walking up to the photo wall to pose for the cameras, Han Seung-yeon almost fell back. Thankfully, the other KARA members kept her from falling. In addition, after the fall, Goo Ha-ra seemed to fix her dress. As shown on the video below, Han Seung-yeon is famous for falling flat on her face during a performance of “Lupin” on MBC “Music Core“. Thankfully, she had her members to support her this time around. |
[PS! Fan Favorite] Results for 2NE1 Posted: 22 Oct 2010 05:38 PM PDT The lovely readership of POPSEOUL! has decided that their fan favorite member of 2NE1 is… DARA With 44% of the vote, Dara is POPSEOUL!’s fan favorite. Her bubbly personality and her drive to persevere despite her supposed lack of natural musical talent makes her downright lovable. She never stops trying and continues to improve. She possesses international appeal, and never ceases to entertain from her onstage persona to her me2day updates. Coming in second with 27% of the vote is CL. Bom comes in third with 20% of the vote. Rounding out fourth place is Minzy with 9% of the vote. I must admit I was a little surprised, although not completely shocked. I thought most people would pick CL for her fierce persona, but I guess that just inspires admiration more than favoritism. Dara makes for a good role model because she has been able to bounce back after her overseas career fizzled out, garner the love of Black Jacks everywhere by bringing just the right mix of sugar and spice to the group, and most of all, she maintains a sincere, lighthearted demeanor that elicits smiles all around. Congrats to Dara for achieving the love of POPSEOUL! readers everywhere! Thanks for POPSEOUL! readers for participating~! |
