Sungje was one of the guest in October 2 episode of Quiz that Change the World (Sebakwi) and told their story during their hard times in Japan.

Sungje said, "At first, it was difficult in Japan. Other artists are doing well even in overseas. We're not well known in Korea." He confessed and even shed some tears.

Sungje was trying to hold his tears during the conversation but he can't hold it anymore.
The panels encouraged the sad Sungje and even cheered him up.

[News] First celebrities to have their own gift certificate “SNSD gift cards”

For the first time in Korean celebrity history, SNSD gift certificate will be made.

According to a member of the gift certificate company, gift cards with pictures of SNSD will soon be published.
There will be 10 different types of cards, 9 of them featuring solo shots of each member of the SNSD while the
10th card showings a group picture. Each card will be worth 10,000won(equivalent to about 9$) and people can use
these card to purchase oil.

The company member also stated that the new SNSD gift certificates will allow the consumers to collect all 10
different types of gift cards if they purchase 10 gift cards at once(equal to 100,000won).

The member of the company predicted that, "Even though these were meant to be used as oil gift certificates, it's

[News] TVXQ Trio's First Japanese Album Ranks 3rd On Oricon Monthly Charts

JYJ's first Japanese album, released by TVXQ's YoungWoong Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun and Xiah Junsu, has ranked third on the Oricon Monthly Charts.

According to Oricon, Japan's most prestigious album sales tabulation site, the JYJ unit's first Japanese album 'The...', which was released on September 8th, ranked 3rd on the Monthly Album Charts. They sold a total of 165,611 copies.

Another reason why so much attention is being focused on this album and its ranking is because 'The...' could be the first and last album the unit releases in Japan for now.

He wasn't hardcore from the start. He was a calm student that didn't want to stay apart from his family and his friends. Having randomly fallen in love with the joy of dancing, he coincidentally passed an audition and received a love call from his former agency. Giving up his life to walk down the path of an opaque life as a trainee couldn't have been easy. Day after day for him from that decision on was harder than he could have ever imagined.

Soon, he developed a habit of cringing his face whenever he was concentrating on what someone was saying because he had difficulty understanding. He says that there were plenty of instances where a false fact was put on air because of his misunderstandings. Still, he's never once cut someone off and asked them to repeat it and gave more laughter than anyone that understands Korean better.

In order to overcome his difficult times, he turned to exercising and earned muscles. Jaebum doesn't even know how to drink, cringing and stating that he could never understand why people drank after taking a sip at a company outing.

When asked what he wanted to do in Korea, he replied with nothing. He said that he could watch movies anywhere and never feels the need to shop. The only thing he wants to do are events for his fans. If he could, he would call all of them and give them free hugs and succeed for the fans that have waited for him. The people around him often say that he has no interest in anything besides dancing and singing.

This Jaebum we all know is returning in October. With a bit of a simple reality program. With a bit of a difference from his former image. He may not even be able to answer some of the questions that people are curious of. Maybe he will look awkward and shy since he's alone now. However, he will express his story with his entire body by showing off his earnest dance moves. With the constant change in temperature fluctuating from hot to cold, an awkward shell might enclose him. But we only believe it's because of the appropriate climate changes that has allowed him to ripen. Having passed two seasons now, he is concentrating on his own dream. We might be able to find out a little more about this 24 year old young man.

If you know what a blockbuster in the music industry is, then you know 2NE1. They took a risk with promoting three title songs for their comeback at the same time, releasing three music videos, doing different music activities with their three songs on stage, and yet they have done it. On September 20, on Mnet's M! Countdown, they performed Clap Your Hands, showing a unique performance by recording two separate and different stages, then both were edited and merged together, breaking the boundaries of music programs and showing two concepts of their music video. Although the abilities of the crew of the said music program was needed to complete the stage, but it was really YG Entertainment (YGE)'s focus on the girls, that managed to make 2NE1 stage in music programs to higher heights. Thinking of creating a good concept is hard work. YG showed its company's strength by breaking rules of the game they know so well, and yet making 2NE1's activities a success. Even though their songs were released along with their comeback announcement last September 9, 2NE1's two songs, "Go Away" and "Can't Nobody" are still holding strong, ranking in 2nd and 3rd place in Melon Chart.

2NE1 has a new, fresh concept, that changed their appeal from their debut look when they were dressed in street punk fashion. With their debut hit, "Fire" the girls were dressed in fierce, funky fashion. 2NE1's music, even then, was made of variety, with a strong influence in hip-hop, not really made for mainstream music, but they still made it work to their advantage, emphasizing their uniqueness. 2NE1's "I Don't Care" combined pop with reggae rhythm, producing a neat melody and a song that stayed popular throughout the whole of last year. 2NE1's popularity has gone beyond their music, with their success in the market as well.

2NE1's Comeback Songs and Music Videos



2NE1's three title tracks showed a diverse and unique side of the girls. "Can't Nobody" and "Go Away" showed more of pop and hip-hop while "Clap Your Hands" have a strong drum beat. The rhythms of all three songs are catchy, and provided a lot of new flavor. "Can't Nobody" presented a remix of different elements, with Park Bom and Sandara Park singing the chorus, one after the other, making the words "Can't Nobody" addicting. In all their songs, Park Bom showed strong vocals, matching the autotune on the vocals of the other three members, while minimizing the autototune on hers. Autotune played a big part in "Go Away," starting at the beginning with leader, CL's part. In this song's chorus, they upped the ante of "Can't Nobody"'s chorus by adding a rock guitar vibe. "Can't Nobody" is a song with many hooks and different melody, while "Go Away" and its melody provides an exciting and dynamic package. While these two songs were produced and composed by YG producer and 1TYM leader, Teddy, "Clap Your Hands" was produced by e.knock, also known as Kush. This song is different from all traditional songs with its different beat and strong rhythm.

At this point, with these three very different songs, came three gorgeous music videos, all destined to be blockbusters. With "Can't Nobody" and it's strong rhythm, "Go Away" with its familiar melody, and "Clap Your Hands" with its strong hip-hop rhythm, they all gave exciting elements to music, especially with the bus ads that YGE had set up. While the public is already familiar with their songs, they now looked forward to 2NE1's Music Videos with anticipation. With three songs active at the same time, 2NE1's fans eagerly awaited their live comebacks too. Like Big Bang's "Lie" and "Sunset Glow" these three songs made by YG's 2NE1 is sure to pass down to different generations, because they hold something that each generation could relate to.

2NE1's Focus On Their Vocals



It cannot be denied that in this industry, it still all boils down to quality music. What was surprising is how all of 2NE1's songs in this album made the listeners feel no regrets. All the three songs were good, but the other songs in the album could do well if promoted also, because they give off a fresh, and new approach. While some may be bothered because none of their songs are what is commonly heard, its uniqueness is what make them work out, instead of being a problem. YG gave a push in making unusual but daring marketing strategies.

In an area of hit singles and blockbusters, 2NE1 gives off a different feel. Three song titles and three music videos, seems not to tire these girls out because they still give the best live stages. Great beats, wonderful melodies, and a unique marketing plan. All made 2NE1 dominate the music scene.

In the past few years, the music industry became monotonous, with nothing new coming out. Then 2NE1 came and changed the game. And the time has come for them to make the music industry evolve to something better.

Beast made their comeback.

With their recently released 3rd mini album , members shares their difficulty in their preparation process. They regret for not leaving behind a strong distinct impression in their previous activities. Although they were given the title "animal~idols" from their [activities], Beast still felt 2% short and wanted to fulfill their mission with their "Breath". This time around they resolved to show nothing less with their title song "Breath". With their intense electronic beats and intricate repetitious melody, [we] were able to meet up with the ever changing 'chameleon' Beast members.

#Done with the preparation process.

Debuted last October, Beast. What has lead to member's road to notoriety. Much attention was initially drawn to this group due members , Yoon Doojoon and Jang Hyunseung , who were both dropped, respectively, from auditioning for [boy] groups, and Lee Kikwang, who'd previously debuted as a solo artist. All of their songs have successfully done well on charts. And recently, Yoon Doojoon and Lee Kikwang have successfully landed on various entertainment shows. However, as per members, they weren't satisfied.

"It appears we're being recognized by a lot of people. Fans have definitely grown. However, we feel that there's still something amiss. Feel like we're short of 2%. This time around we're going to try hard to fill up that 2%" (Yoon Doojoon) "We no longer feel estranged when we attend broadcast shows, think our confidence have grown to the extent of our comfort level on stage." (Yong Junhyung)

In order to fill up that missing 2%, members practiced hard, leaving no room for laziness. One could guess from their gaunt appearances were due to their strenuous practice schedules.

"I've finally realized that being #1 is not everything. If we're not satisfied, do you think fans will be as well? In order to leave nothing amiss on stage, we practice and practice." (Yang Yoseob)

#Making a mark

's stage performance is tightly choreographed. The part where Lee Kikwang dances in middle amongst the members, half way through the song , appears to be their main point in their choreography. Title of their album 'Mastermind' was for the purpose to captivate and control one's heart. Notably, being able to do so on their live performances, basing on their powerful stage performances, song and rap. [ In their performance ] as they move together organically, it supposed to evoke a "wheel-like" in motion.

"Beast stage performance needs to be seen with the song played in order to experience the full effect. This time around it was tightly choreographed as well. Always progressing to change. Although choreography wasn't easy, it's child's play compared to ". (Jang Hyungseung)

Members are also preparing for their 4th album to be released in November. They stated they're going to be decorating this coming year with Beast. Aside from everything else, they appeared to be anxiously waiting for December 12th to come around. All due the fact that their dream of holding an exclusive concert will soon to be realized at Jamsil Stadium. In the prospect of seeing strong live performances by Beast, fans' expectations are also steadily increasing as well.

"Having a concert of our own has been a wish for all of the members. Nervous just dreaming about what kind stage performances we'll be doing. Although I'm anticipating for our individual acts, I'm looking forward more so to our collaboration on stage. (Son Dongwoon)

[News] 1 Year since Beast's Debut "Being #1 is not what's important"

In the words of Beast now close to one year since their debut. As singers it's strange to not have the greed to be #1. Although it may sound a bit "presumptuous" to some, as per Yoon Doojoon, Yang Yoseob, Jang Hyunseung, Lee Kikwang, Yong Junhyung and Son Dongwoon, it was said with much earnestness. As per 6 members, "obviously we would love to be….#1. However they stated that " since its been a year since our debut we realized that its more important to make BEAST's color concrete more than having a greed of being #1." From its intense sound , dramatic development and with Yang Yoseob's strong vocals, "Breath" is definitely a song one can sense Beast's strong characteristic.

"It still feels like yesterday we sang "Bad Girl" trembling in front of 70 people. It's strange to think that it's already been a year. Heard that for our first "Breath" broadcast, the audience was packed and even had fans waiting outside. Nervous just thinking about putting up the name Beast at Jamsil Stadium for our upcoming concert in December. "

Although it's been a year since their debut, Beast, however, have not for a moment to rest. They've found much success with now 3 albums released and with the 4th album in the works, as well as with Lee Kikwang and Yoon Doojoon in variety shows and sitcoms. Seeing Lee Kikwang and Yoon Doojoon on TV, asked other members if they were jealous?

"At first I did wondered 'why only two of them were at the meeting'. To say we weren't jealous would be a lie. However, when thinking in hindsight, I don't think I would be able to do what they did. When seeing them leave for their schedules, barely getting any rest, feel quite sorry for them. With people still wondering "who Beast members are?, we're grateful to have people search us up [on the internet], all due to Kikwang and Doojoon."

"Breath" was released right around the same time Miss A came out with their similar title "Breathe". There were theories going around that Beast changed their title as "SOOM" (krn title) because of Miss A. However, it was said that "SOOM' was rightly named by Yong Junhyung. Duly noted to avoid a misunderstanding.

"We were also quite surprised. Knowing 'Music Bank' broadcast was coming up, we were worried because we had to give them our title in English. Then our Dongwoonie who's most fluent in English [amongst us] decided to take the 'e' out to make the verb into a noun. Ah also! Our debut title 'Bad Girl' is also quite similar to Miss A's 'Bad Girl, Good Girl'. Seriously bizarre right?"

Although there isn't much time to rest in their jammed packed schedule, Beast members continue to practice their choreography late into the evening, leaving no room for laziness. Their purpose behind it all was for Beast members to show their best in their performances.

Though it's been challenging to create a music piece that would embrace all 6 individual member's varied colorings, one can sense their unity in terms of their passionate dance choreography. It was stated that their most preferred late night snack is chicken. They broke out into laughter realizing they probably consumed over 250 chickens since their debut till now. Evolving from their innocent beginnings into becoming strong men, Beast members ended by stating that they continue on dancing in order to achieve their goal of becoming the "long running artists".
