At 8pm yesterday, the CCTV – MTV Music Awards 2010 was held at the Beijing Sports Center. David Tao, Jaycee Fang Zuming, Hangeng, May Day, Elva Hsiao, Ah Mei and Hebe were among the stars who attended this star-studded event amidst the strong weather. After 2 hours of competition, Hangeng edged out Sun Nan to win the 'Mainland most popular male artist' giving him his first award since going solo.

The most prestigious award ceremony in the mandarin pop industry, the 10th CCTV – MTV Music Award was held at Beijing Sports Center. Earlier, the voting for the 7 "Most popular" awards had been closed for voting, and the official site has shown that Hangeng is at first place for 'Mainland most popular male artist'. The other 6 'Most popular' awards, however, doesn't have an obvious winner.

Especially this year, Vicky Zhao and Na Ying will be up against each other for the 'Mainland most popular female artist', Lin Jun Jie and Eason Chen for "Hong Kong – Macau most popular male artist', Charlene Choi and Elva Hsiao for 'Hong Kong – Macau most popular female artist' and Yoga Lin and Cindy Yen for 'Hong Kong – Macau most capable singer'. As for the 'popularity' award, it still waits to be seen from the sms votes.

The night event saw 50 artists attending, bagging a total of 18 awards

[NEWS] Infinite Sungjong gets first kiss taken by Hwangbo

Infinite's Sungjong has his first kiss taken by senior singer Hwangbo.

On 'Children's of the midnight' Infinite's maknae Sungjong and Hwangbo was playing a eating a stick snack game and their lips touched.

Before starting the game Sungjong led Hwangbo and said "You will be fine. Think comfortably" as Hwangbo showed a non-confident side before starting the game.

Eun Jiwon who was watching Hwangbo and SungJong play the game got his mischievious side on and pushed Hwangbo's back which led to their lips touching. The guests on the show who saw this teased the two by saying "Sunjong's first is Hwangbo".

As soon as Sungjong said "This is my first experience. It feels like my virginity has been taken" Hwangbo said "Do i have to take responsibility?" Sorry, it isnt my first time" which made everyone on set laugh.

This show will air on the 21st

[NEWS] Shindong and Eunhyuk Chosen to be MCs on "Star Audtion-Great Birth"

Group Super Junior Shindong and Eunhyuk were chosen to be MCs on "Great Birth."

Shindong and Eunhyuk hosted the second preliminary round of "Star Audition-Great Birth" on the 16 and the 17th which were held in a gymnastics gymnasium of Seoul Songpagu Bangidong Olympic park.

A MBC representative said, "the two people had interviews with participants who passed the first preliminary round and commanded the overall event. We were able to finish the preliminary round because of Shindong and Eunhyuk's smooth hosting skills."

Shindong and Eunhyuk are scheduled to be MCs of "Great Rebirth" which will be held domestically as well as China. "Great Rebirth" will be going to the U.S., China, Japan, Southeast Asia and not just domestically to go on the talent hunt. Shindong and Eunhyuk's management company staff said, "Super Junior is popular in China. Therefore, the two people will host the auditions in China."

"Great Rebirth" hosted by Shindong and Eunhyuk will be holding second round of the preliminary in November 13 and 14 in Ilsan Kintex.

[News] Girls' Generation is 'a Model for Korean Business'

Now that K-pop group Girls' Generation has almost single-handedly spurred a new round of the Korean Wave in Japan, a number of businesses are trying to benchmark the group for their management practice. It says Korean businesses should learn from the way the manufactured group has been managed -- building capacity through rigorous training over a long period of time and profiting from aggressive and bold global management strategies.

"The fact that many Korean idol groups are enjoying great popularity across the world, especially in Asia, despite a scarcity of resources is very suggestive for Korean companies in fierce global competition", the Samsung Economic Research Institute said in a report Thursday. The think tank urged Korean firms to take a close look at the nurturing process of manufactured bands like Girls' Generation, Super Junior, and Kara.

SERI researcher Jung Tae-soo said, "To accumulate successful experience, companies seeking changes have to take on challenges while managing risks through meticulous preparation and planning".

Japan's Nikkei Business recently drew a comparison between Korea's next-generation companies and Girls' Generation, analyzing the factors behind Korea's rapid economic growth.

Some companies are already using Girls' Generation in their marketing strategies. KTB Securities CEO Joo Won joined the fan club of Girls' Generation on Twitter, sharing his thoughts on various subjects with young members there. "Perhaps it is thanks to the fan club of Girls' Generation on Twitter, but the number of young customers has been increasing", the company said.

Girls' Generation is frequently named in investment reports by securities firms, who are aware that the band's overseas success is above all a source of profit for SM Entertainment, its management agency. The stock value of the company is soaring.

MBLAQ's comeback for this November has been postponed.

MBLAQ's agency J. Tune's Entertainment said on the 19th, "There have been change of plans with their comeback this November. In order to give a more mature album that expresses their heart and soul, we will be preparing much longer."

MBLAQ has been seen with different hairstyles and it has caught the attention of fans. Fans are already expecting MBLAQ's comeback due to their change of hairstyles that are a sign of an upcoming comeback. [News] U-kiss Eli's surgery went well

U-Kiss member Eli who fractured his wrist during his practice was now alright and can resume his activities soon as his surgery gone well.

On 19th, U-Kiss agency told Asia economics sports today "Eli's surgery has ended." and "The operation went well. The doctor in charged has done his best
to minimize the scar. Several weeks are needed for a full recovery. Eli's greed for U-KISS promotional activities is very big, it will be likely that he will return to his
normal schedules. He will be using a special equipment to protect his wrist while moving on with the activities. If Eli feels the pain due to the surgery, we will ask him to completely stop doing his activities." they added.

Eli was immediately taken to the emergency room after he fell and hurt his wrist while doing a dance practice.the result showed that Eli had a fractured wrist and
damaged ligament which required surgery. He underwent for a surgery this morning 19th of October 2010, and is currently in a recovery state.

The much anticipated Super Junior Concert, "Super Show 3", will begin ticket sales on the 20th Nov, tickets are rare there will only be roughly 5000 tickets.

Ever since organizer, Running Into The Sun(RITS) announced in August that idol group Super Junior will be holding a large scale concert, "Super Show 3" next year on the 29th January for the first time in Singapore. Fans from different countries found it hard to supress their excitement and has been waiting for the release about the ticket sales.

RITS announced today that tickets will be on sale from 20th Nov, tickets are precious as there are only about 5000 tickets. What is different about this concert is that ticket prices are set at 2 different prices, namely $208 & $158. (Excluding $3 SISTIC Charge)

AS though it is the creation of a 3D movie

"Super Show 3" will be held in Singapore Indoor Stadium, the stage formation will be different from what Singapore ever had, no matter which corner you are sitting at, the amazing design of the 4 stages will allow fans to enjoy the concert with the same feeling.

The unique round 2 level stage is designed with underground tunnels will definitely bring surprises, there are also wires to enable members of Super Junior to fly in mid air. Many of the stage preparations were flew in straight from Korea, the first stop of the world tour.

RITS's Creative Director Beatrice Chia-Richmond says: "This concert will be created just like how they did it in Korea, for those who have watched the Seoul concert will know, their designs are are a 3D movie, the members will be performing in places you wont be able to imagine."

[News] KBS 2TV Drama ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’ Got Another Slight Rise in Rating

On the 19th, viewership rating agency AGB Nielsen Media Research reported rating result of 'SungKyunKwan Scandal' episode that was aired on the 18th evening, the drama recorded 13.1% on nationwide rating.

This record is a rise by 2.2 points from 10.9% rating that was gained by the previous episode on the 12th.

The reason of this rise on viewership is identified due to MBC popular drama 'Dong Yi' which had bid for goodbye thus increased more audiences interests on 'SungKyunKwan Scandal'. In this episode, Lee Seon Jun (Park Yoochun) confessed to Yeon Hee (Park Min Young), "As a man, you're really good."

At the drama bulletin, comments were left such as "Park Yoochun's acting is beyond expectations", "Altough the story is quite different than in the book, but both are still interesting." "Frankly it's a heavy burden, as this is a really good historical drama," showing how attention of audiences rises.

Meanwhile, the concurrent time line broadcast dramas SBS 'Giant' recorded 28.9% and MBC 'Queen of Reversals' recorded 10.4%.

Brown Eyed Girls member Ga-in has made her way to the top spot on cable music channel Mnet's singles chart with her new song "Irreversible."

Ga-in, who recently began her solo music career, climbed up six spots to No. 1 with "Irreversible," taking her first win during the week of October 11 to 17.

After making her debut in 2006 as one of the main vocalists of Brown Eyed Girls, Ga-in has been promoting her solo album "step 2/4" and title track "Irreversible" since its release in early October.

Other singles on the top three included newly released songs "Instinctively" by SuperstarK 2 contestant Kang Sung-yoon in second and in No. 3 was "In My Eye" by singer Psy featuring Lee Jae-joon.

On the albums chart, girl group 2NE1 reclaimed the first place position with their first full-length release "To Anyone" and JYJ's first album "The Beginning" and the latest from 2PM "Still 2:00 pm" both made their debut in the top three, landing at No. 2 and 3, respectively.

Group BEAST member Lee Kikwang confirms that he is a girl group two-timer?

Lee Kikwang appeared on KBS 2TV entertainment program "Happy Birthday" on the 18th and revealed "I like Miss A and f(x)" which caused some interest.

On this day, Yong Junhyung from BEAST appeared as a guest and replied to the question "Doesn't BEAST vote for the most popular girl group?" with "All they have to do is lie down. We like Miss A recently" causing laughter.

In addition, Lee Kikwang added "I like Miss A and F(x)" making the other guests reply with "Lee Kikwang is a two-timer style, huh?" making Lee Kikwang appear as a player.
