The cast of “Mischievous Kiss” share their closing remarks Posted: 21 Oct 2010 06:29 AM PDT Jung So-min, Lee Tae-sung and Lee Si-young have all taken the time out of their busy schedules to share their true feelings about being apart of the “Mischievous Kiss” cast.
The drama that was popular even before its debut is ending today. Even though the ratings of the show were not as high as many expected, the cast still gave it their all and have entertained us every week since September. Now, the time has come to see how they felt about their recent television project “Mischievous Kiss”. Actress Jung So-min stated: "My feelings became a lot calmer as I began filming the last wedding scene and my character eventually got married to Seung Jo. But with the past three months of filming coming to an end, I'm left feeling both refreshed and disappointed at the same time. I'd like to thank the staff and cast members."
Actor Lee Tae-sung expressed: "It feels like only yesterday that I was rehearsing my lines for the first episode. Today is already the last broadcast of our 16th episode. 'Playful Kiss' has finally been completed in my memories. Please don't forget the drama and Bong Gu." Actress Lee Si-young revealed: "As with everything that must come to an end, I feel disappointed that the drama is already over when it feels like it's just started to me. I will make sure to properly conclude the relationship of Kyung Su and Hye Ra in the remaining time." What do you think about their remarks? Will you miss the drama airing on your TV every week?

Kim Hyun-joong: “…there’s still a special version(of ‘Kiss’) left..” Posted: 21 Oct 2010 06:04 AM PDT “Mischievous Kiss” may be airing its final episode today, but the drama is not over yet! He stated the following in his closing remarks about the finale: “We began filming during the heat of the summer and now it's already cold winter. I had a lot of fun with few regrets, but there's still a special version left so I will be sure to show everyone a good image until the very end." What is he referring to? Hyun-joong is talking about the official “kiss” YouTube channel. A special edition of the drama will premiere….starting November 2nd. I don’t know about you,but I can not wait until November 2nd! Hyun-joong is one of my favorites! His acting may not be 100% yet, but I applaud his effort and the talented cast of “kiss” for all their hard work. |
2pm and Ga-in are “STILL” “Irreversible”! Posted: 21 Oct 2010 05:46 AM PDT The idols have made it to the top…… Below are the other albums that round up the top three: 2 Ga-in’s “step 2/4″ 3. BEAST’s “Mastermind” In the singles department, it is only proper that a solo artist make it to number one! Ga-in’s “Irreversible” is on top while the following hits round up the top three: 2. Supreme Team’s “Then Then Then” 3. Kang Sung-yoon’s (Superstar K2 contestant) “Instinctively” Congratulations to the winners(even though I wish SHINee would have ruled the charts for a few more weeks…despite the fact that they win way too often) these artists deserve the honors they have been given this week. |
Jun Ji-hyun considers her next role….. Posted: 21 Oct 2010 05:18 AM PDT Will she choose a drama or movie? Her mangement company, J&Co Entertainment has stated that, “Jun is currently in talks to appear in a movie titled ‘Falling in Love’“. The movie project that won the Kodak Award at the PIFF (from the Pusan Promotion Plan), is about a married woman and a single man falling in love with one another after he decieves her. Right now, there isn’t an official confirmation on whether she will star in the movie. However, you can not help but wonder…. Do the titles “Falling in Love” and “Untold Scandal” describe the actresses’rumored relationship with Rain? |
Has Yoo-chun started the first JYJ dating “scandal”? Posted: 21 Oct 2010 04:52 AM PDT Actress Park Min-young’s agency has made an official statement about the two stars suspected to be in love. Park Min-young’s agency, King Kong Entertainment, stated the following about their relationship: “We talked to (Park) Min-young after the rumor broke out today but she said it wasn’t true.”The rumor has existed since the show started and of course, there would be nothing wrong with them seeing each other on good terms but reporting on something that isn’t true as if it’s true is going a bit too far.” The statement above makes sense. If your favorite star is dating someone you should applaud their relationship and be happy for them. The chances of a fan actually having the opportunity to date a star is 1 in a million. So, I say why not support them! I’m a big fan of actor Go Joo-won, and IF he really is dating Narsha I would support their relationship 100%. I mean who does not want their favorite celebrity to find happiness? |
Far East Movement is #1 on the U.S. Billboards Posted: 20 Oct 2010 09:25 PM PDT Far East Movement has done it and have now become the first Asian Americans to not only break through into the Top Ten on U.S. Billboards but is now #1.
Starting with the number one spot on ITUNES, James “Prohgress” Roh, Kevin “Kevnish” Nishimura, Jae “J-Spliff” Choung, and DJ Virman (Coquia) have finally done it with their #1 song, “Like a G6″. If you’re not aware of them yet, here is the basic three minute lowdown. These men have been climbing steadily to the top with their first hit “Girls on the Dance Floor” flooding the LA Hip Hop scene which gave them the opportunity to open for LMFAO‘s “Rock Party Tour”. And it didn’t stop there, they were soon signed with Cherry Tree Records which gave them the chance to open for labelmate, Lady Gaga‘s Japanese leg of “Monster Ball Tour”. If that wasn’t already epic enough for any Asian American singer, their next hit “Like a G6″ went platinum on the release day of their “Free Wired” album featuring Snoop Dogg, Keri Hilson, Ryan Tedder from One Republic and many more artists. The list of things they’ve accomplished honestly cannot be put into a simple article but we know that with their new song, “Rocketeer” featuring Ryan Tedder gaining interest on the radio, it seems that these boys will continue to represent and hopefully open the door for many more aspiring Asians who want to break into the American Music/Hollywood Industry. CONGRATS BOYS from POPSEOUL!!

[POPSEOUL! Talent] American Artist Pumashock Responds to POPSEOULers! Posted: 20 Oct 2010 03:50 PM PDT POPSEOUL brings you the one of most anticipated interviews this season… with the talented artist Natalie White (Pumashock)! You have submitted your questions. Now, the time has come to see her honest responses.
Read our interview with Natalie White (aka known on POPSEOUL as Korea's YouTube Princess and the lovely half of the almost TaeShock): POPSEOULer: What has been your overall experience in Korea so far? “So far, my experience has been very positive and beyond anything I thought possible. It's very nice to think that a culture I've admired for so long from so far away has been this hospitable towards me.” POPSEOULer: If you could work in any of the big companies, (SM YG, JYPE)who would it be and why? “This is a tough question because I feel there are very different advantages (and disadvantages, I'm sure) with each company. As an independent artist, being attached to any of the three seems like a pretty sweet deal! I think most people would assume I'm best suited for YG,haha. Wherever I may end up in the future, my main concern would be maintaining my creative freedom. Ideally, I could become a producer/composer that could work with artists from all three companies.” POPSEOULer: Would you ever crossover into Jpop? “Yes ,totally. My love affair with international culture began with Japan (being a huge video and anime nerd). I'm always blown away by the quality of music production in Japan. The complexity really is fascinating for an audiophile like myself. When I listen to some Japanese songs, I always think 'How did they DO that!' I feel as though I could really push the limits of my own creativity over there someday.” POPSEOULer: What attracted you to Kpop in the first place? “It was just a fun discovery for me. At the time, I felt like US pop music was beginning to take itself a little too seriously. Kpop had the element of joy and lightheartedness that we'd lost to self-indulgence. Anyway, I could dance to the music and swoon over Shinhwa . That was enough.” POPSEOULer: Do you consider learning Korean difficult, or do you think the language is easy to master? “Well, learning any language (let alone mastering it) is a true commitment. I studied linguistics in college, so I understand language from a broad perspective. I wouldn't say Korean is a relatively difficult language to learn. You just have to be dedicated. My schedule prevents me from spending as much time studying as I'd like, but it's coming along well. Writing original songs in Korean has really helped too.” POPSEOULer: What are the challenges of being an entertainer? "This is a really broad question; there are many challenges at every angle. For me, the main challenge is self-promotion. I'm really bad at it! I'm purely an artist, so I just want to write, play instruments, and sing all day. But, that is only part of the equation if you want to be an entertainer. You really have to hit the pavement and get your name out there…and doubly so when you're dealing with an international career. I'm very blessed to have friends who believe in what I'm working to accomplish. They are helping me organize a marketing strategy to reach as many people as possible with my new music." POPSEOULer: Do you have the confidence to become successful in Korea? If so, how do you obtain the confidence? "I do have confidence. I have to have confidence. It's my fuel. I don't have a giant company mapping out my career. It's me, myself, and I. When I get out of bed in the morning, I can get to work only because I believe in myself. Without that, I'd crumble immediately. I have to keep moving in the direction I feel God is leading me. If he opens doors in Korea, then I'm definitely walking through them. I have nothing to lose and everything to gain." POPSEOULer: Do you have any connections(family or friends) currently in Korea? Also, why did you choose Korea? "I do have some friends in Korea-folks I've met on previous trips and old schoolmates. I never thought my life would unfold like this. I was content to keep my little closet obsession with Kpop for the rest of my life. The only choice I made is to follow through with the opportunity I've been given." POPSEOULer: Some of the struggles of Kpop Artists have been shown publicly, Are you ready for the challenge to enter this industry? "I'm not worried about things like that. I've already dealt with mistreatment, embarrassment, disappointment, racism, etc. through the years, I've developed a tough skin. I'm secure in my identity. I know things will get tough at times, but that is the way to build character. You need struggles every now and then. Also, I have a fantastic and loving support system. That's important!!" POPSEOULer: What advice would you give to someone, not necessarily wanting to sing in Korea, who wishes to catch the eye of Korean producers and the like? "That's a tough question. It's difficult to build a career overseas if you can't freely travel. I realize now that, in order to take this to the next level, I have to live there temporarily. So, that's my next step. Beyond that, the internet is your greatest tool. Start a blog, post YT vids (YouTube videos),enter contests…whatever you can do. It takes time but your efforts will accumulate. If you build a large enough web presence, people definitely take notice." POPSEOULer: Are you fluent in Korean? "Haha…no. But I CAN order lots of food…..I'm fluent in Korean restaurant." POPSEOULer: How do you plan to overcome any criticism that might arise? "The same way I have my entire life. If it's constructive learn from it; if it isn't, ignore it and press on. It's really that simple." POPSEOUL Questions: PS!: What is the origin of your name Pumashock? "It's one of my World of Warcraft characters – a Human Shadow Priest. I thought it was sort of comical that it caught on, so I kept it. I must stay true to my nerd roots. However, I haven't played with her for a long time….so my gear is way outdated. It's upsetting." PS!: Are you an avid POPSEOULer? If not, do you think you will be after this interview? "Actually, yes! Every morning before I begin work, I have a cup of coffee and sort through my favorite blogs, including Popseoul."
POPSEOUL would like to thank Natalie White for this POPtastic interview! We wish her all the best in her career endeavors. Also, we look forward to seeing this talented young lady rise to the top of the entertainment industry. |
