[News] Kangin Reunites with Super Junior Members on his Vacation

Super Junior member Kangin who is currently in the army went on his first vacation and reunited with other Super Junior members.

On the 14th, Kangin received a vacation from being in the army for 100days. During his vacation, he met with other Super Junior members. He met with Kangta who's in the same management company and Shin Hyesung near Seoul Hongdae. A person who is close to Kangin said, "he looked healthier than when he entered the army. He was bright and showed confidence about being in the army."

Except for meeting few friends, he spent most of his vacation with his family and returned to the army. A representative of Kangin's managament company revealed, "Kangin's working as a MC in a show at his military camp and is working diligently by using his talent. Since it was his first vacation, he spent his time with family and friends."

Kangin volunteered to go to the army in July.

[News] Park Yoochun - Compared To Singing It Seems He's More Suited For Acting

"Micky Yoochun; rather than being a singer, it seems he is more suited to be an actor." The KBS youth drama [SungKyunKwan Scandal] has aired half of its episodes so far and this is Chief Producer Kwak Ki Won's take on Micky Yoochun, who plays the role of Lee Seonjoon.

[SungKyunKwan Scandal]'s Chief Producer Kwak Ki Won said, "For every beginner, in the beginning, they will always be struggling to digest their lines, yet Micky Yoochun has been on the right track since episode 5. This means that he has already made a big leap in his acting career and for Micky Yoochun who is in this current state, he must have a lot of desire for acting."

Chief Producer Kwak also expressed, "To be honest, the first time I met Park Yoochun, based on his expressions and behaviour, I already felt that he would be suited for acting. Although most of the idol singers turned actors in recent dramas have been more or less disappointing, from the beginning, I did not worry in the least when it came to Micky Yoochun."

He praised him highly and said, "In episode 15, during the SungKyunKwan student council, Park Yoochun appeared as a witness to the gay scandal and he used the Confucian teaching of "仁义礼智"* to portray a sharp scene. The lines are already a lot, and if not acted well, it could easily become a scene like preaching, yet he was able to concentrate all his efforts and fully digest his role, filling the scene with rich emotion."

"The change from the stubborn man full of principles in the beginning, to the current shy man of principles, seems to be easy for him." CP Kwak also added that "he has the voice for both period dramas and modern dramas".

Micky Yoochun is currently doing well acting as the son of the Left Prime Minister in [SungKyunKwan Scandal], portraying Lee Seonjoon, who judges others by his principles and yet, is ruled by a sincere heart. With his low voice and gentle expressions, he is the core weapon in the "SungKyunKwan Quartet".

In episode 16, which aired on the 19th, after coming to know that his roommate in SungKyunKwan is a girl, Lee Seonjoon and Yeonhee have their first kissing scene, foretelling the unfolding of a new chapter of their romantic love story.

[News] Ha-ni and Seung-jo from 'Mischievous Kiss', finally get married after a long, long heart aching period

On the 15th episode of 'Mischievous Kiss' was mainly about the wedding between Seung-jo (Kim Hyun-joong) and Ha-ni (Jeong So-min).

On 14th episode, Seung-jo kissed and proposed Ha-ni. He sweared that he will marry her after his graduation but their wedding date was quickly set by Seung-jo's mother (Jeong Hye-yeong).

Seung-jo shows a dissatisfied attitude all wedding preparation long, and even fights with Ha-ni.

At the wedding date, Ha-ni smiles with happiness while celebrating with her friends. But she gets more and more nervous as the time comes. At that moment, Eun-jo comes and tells a secret to Ha-ni, which reveals a secret of the 'pension kiss'.

With Eun-jo's secret, Ha-ni realizes that Seung-jo has loved her for a long time. Then, she gives a sudden kiss to Seung-jo in the middle of their wedding.

At the end of this episode, Seung-jo's requests 'Let's legalize our marriage after you get into the nurse school', which will increase people's expectations for next episode.

[News] Lee Seung Gi VS TVXQ, which one is Han Hyo Joo’s music taste?

Then how about Lee Seung Gi who acts together with her in 'Brilliant Legacy'? To this question Han Hyo Joo replied, "Seung Gi makes good music too." in trembling voices that drew laughters.

In the end she revealed, "I don't have quite skill in producing my own music, but if there's a chance, I want to stand and play for musical stage."

With nickname @6002theMicky, by only opening the account for 6 days, his followers are approaching to 13,000 people, proves the popularity of Park Yoochun. Yet at this point only one person's twitter Park Yoochun followed who is his cordi staff to whom he said, "Oh reum ssi (the cordi name) you're doing this." as he greeted his cordi.

On the 21st, Park Yoochun uploaded his selca photo to twitter, and until the moment this article is written, he has come up with total 4 tweets.

Park Yoochun and Park Min Young representatives immediately denied about the two actors' dating rumors.

Representatives of Park Yoochun and Park Min Young had a phonecall with Newsen on the 21st and said, It's completely unfounded rumor about both of them."

Both said that the love nurtured during the shooting of their drama between Park Yoochun and Park Min Young is a false alarm. 2PM's Wooyoung made a shocking reveal of fashion terrorist Taecyeon's sense of fashion on an episode of MBC's "Golden Fishery - Radio Star."

Wooyoung stated, "From his socks to his underwear, he color coordinates everything in pink. I was extremely surprised."

[News] Ga-in and 2PM win the battle to top Gaon charts

Korean idols Ga-in and 2PM beat out other artists to top Gaon charts during the week of October 10 to 16.

Brown Eyed Girls member Ga-in's latest solo "Irreversible" managed to position itself at No. 1 on Gaon's singles chart, making a nine-spot leap to first place to beat out Supreme Team.

Having made her debut in 2006 as one of the main vocalists in Brown Eyed Girls, Ga-in is the second member of the group to begin her solo career. She has promoted her album "step 2/4" and its title track "Irreversible" since its release on October 8.

Other singles on the top three included former winner "Then Then Then" by Supreme Team followed by the latest song "Instinctively" by SuperstarK 2 contestant Kang Sung-yoon at No. 3.

Meanwhile, six-member boy band 2PM's mini-album "Still 2:00PM" and Ga-in's solo album "step 2/4" both made a successful debut, landing at No. 1 and 2, respectively, while BEAST's third mini-album "Mastermind" dropped a notch to come in at third place.

According to Mnet, "Listen To My Pounding Heart" is what Co.ed's song "Loving You A Thousand Times" is really called! The songs were officially put up for purchase today, and to fans' surprise, the song was called something different from previously reported, but sounded the exact same.

Although it's not confirmed what Co.ed's ballad song is really called, for now I think it's safer to call it "Listen To My Pounding Heart" since Mnet is Co.ed's main, overall company.

[NEWS] Leeteuk joins MBC Variety show, "Enjoy Today" as a Regular Member

Super Junior Leeteuk became a new member of "Enjoy Today," the second half of MBC "Sunday Sunday Night."

According to a staff on the 21st, original members Seungri and Gong Hyungjin have left the show. Leeteuk and Kim Sungjoo have been added to the program as new MCs.

A staff revealed, "Seungri and Gong Hyung jin left the show due to their schedule conflicts. Leeteuk and Kim Sungjoo will be replacing them as regular members. They have already participated in the taping which occoured on the 20th."

Seungri had to leave to prepare for Big Bang's new album and Gong Hyungjin had schedule conflict with KBS 2TV drama, "Fugitive" that he had to leave "Enjoy Today."

Before becoming a regular member, Leeteuk appeared on "Enjoy Today" and worked together with other members. Leeteuk appeared with other Super Junior members in the Choosuk special titled, "Enjoy tracks and fields" which aired on the 10th.

Also, Kim Sungjoo acted as a commentary member in the episode featuring "Enjoy Today" members and women soccer Korean national team which aired on the 17th.

Super Junior member Kim Heechul became the third temporary MC on MBC "Golden Fishery."

On the 21st, according to a representative of "Golden Fishery," Kim Heechul participated in the taping of "Radio Star" which was filmed in Kyeonggido Ilsan MBC Dream Center. Along with the original members, Kim Gookjin, Kim Goora, Yoon Jongshin, he led the program. Leejuk and Psy who recently released their albums also participated in the taping.

[News] The Japanese Lady In Charge Of SNSD’s Dances, Nakasone Rino

On September 8th, SNSD released their Japanese debut single "GENIE". They debuted on ORICON at rank #4 and became the first foreign female artist to achieve this. After everything is said and done, their charms are: The 9 of them dancing, their costumes, and their beautiful legs dancing in sync. GENIE is fascinating because of the perfect beautiful leg dance. They are releasing "Gee" on October 20th and that too has become a hot topic.


By the way, the choreography for their first single "GENIE" was done by hip hop dancer Rino Nakasone from Okinawa. (Current married name: Rino Nakasone Razalan).

After she moved to America at 19, she toured with various artists as their back-up dancer. Currently she is a dancer and dance instructor in Los Angeles. Also she is in charge of the choreography of Yunho and Changmin's "Maximum" together with Jae Won. She's a direct hit.


After going to America at 19, she became an assistant choreographer for Janet Jackson. She was also a back-up dancer for Britney Spears and Gwen Stefani. She married Lee Razalan in 2007.



On the left is her partner Maryss from the unit "The Geminiz".



She also performed as a member of the Beat Freaks in "America's Best Dance Crew Season 3".

Q. SNSD's "GENIE" is a hot topic in Japan as well, how did you come to be in charge of the choreography ?
A. Honestly, I've done choreography for SNSD and SHINee (also from SM Entertainment) several times before. This particular time, I was pleased when I became in charge of "GENIE". I didn't teach the girls this particular song in Korea, I recorded a video in LA and sent it to them so they could watch it and learn it. SM Entertainment choreographer Jae Won was there and was able to correct some things with them and make "GENIE" perfect.

Q. The fascination of the beautiful leg dance is also a hot topic in Japan. Was there something that helped you come up with the idea for this choreography?
A. I really don't remember if there was something specific. When I heard the song, it gave me inspiration and that's how I came up with it. Apart from that, I wanted to give them something simple so they could sing while dancing.

Q. If I remember correctly, when they were about to do their Japanese showcase, many fans were outside of the venue copying their dances.
A. K-POP is simple so that many people can copy it, they request that we have catchy and unique choreography. The chorus part is particularly important.

SNSD is really popular in Japan as well, but what are the charms that you have particularly seen?
A. They're a group with amazing teamwork. The 9 of them are a large family and their cooperativeness is particularly wonderful. They're also really speedy at memorizing choreography. They're a group, but they also have varying individual schedules, so it's hard. I stayed in Korea to teach them the choreography for "Oh!", which they released this past January, but all 9 of them were present only 1 or 2 times. But on the rare days when they were all present, they were able to dance together perfectly. I really felt nothing but admiration for them.

Nakasone is the creator of SNSD's beautiful leg dance, which is certainly catchy.

Q. K-POP artists have a strong desire and ambition to learn Japanese, don't they?
A. The other day, I was in charge of doing choreography for Yunho and Changmin and when we talked, even I was surprised at how skilled they were at Japanese (Haha). Moreover, BoA can also speak English. Other artists are also enthusiastic about studying.

Q. A bit ago, you mentioned being in charge of the choreography for SHINee, can you talk a bit about that?
A. At the time of SHINee's debut, their dance office was looking for a new choreographer. At just the right time, they watched a video of my class in LA on YouTube and were pleased with it, so that's how I became in charge of SHINee's debut song "Noona, You're So Pretty (Replay)". Actually, this song was also my debut song as a choreographer. So, because of that I have a lot of special memories.

Q. It was their debut song as well as your debut song. Didn't you feel pressure?
A. First, I listened to the song and thought about it in my own way, so I showed them that. They're not dancers, they're artists. Since there are 5 of them, I studied a lot about how to make good choreography to make all 5 of them stand out. Even now I have to learn a lot of various things.

What are the different charms in working as a choreographer versus being a dancer?
A. Since becoming a dancer was my dream, I moved to America because that's the only place I could really do it. I had no idea that I would become a choreographer for the K-POP world. Previously, I would copy Michael Jackson's choreography, so when people started to watch my choreography and copy my dances, I remember feeling really moved. So, I'm so grateful.

Q. What's your dream after this?
A. I definitely want to continue being a dancer and continue creating different things. Lately since I have a lot to do with artists, I also have an interest in training (them). If given the chance, I definitely want to take the challenge.

I'm also in charge of the choreography of BoA's 6th album repackage song "Copy & Paste" as well as SHINee's 2nd album repackage song "Hello" (Together with Maryss).

Nakasone wants to spread her work as a dancer and choreographer. Look forward to more of her activities from here on out.
