Celebrating the opening of Park Yong-ha’s Yona School’s in Africa

Close friends and acquaintances of Park Yong-ha got together to record a school song for the opening of Park Yong-ha’s Yona School in Africa.

Park Yong-ha has continually supported and funded the construction of a school for the children in the Republic of Chad in central Africa since May of 2009, and the Yona School was finally able to open on September 18, 2010. Unfortunately, Park Yong-ha passed away last summer and couldn’t live to see the fruits of his labor.

At a recording studio in Chung Dam-dong in South Korea, many celebrities took part in the project, including Kim Hyung-joon from SS501, Lee Ru, Lyn, Park Hyo-shin, Lee Jae-jin and Song Seung-hyun of FT Island, Park Si-yeon, Jae-rim, and many other artists. Hwang Sae-joon, a composer who had worked with Park Yong-ha on his Japanese album, took charge of the whole process. All who participated stated that they tried to celebrate the opening of the school and express the longing for their deceased friend while recording the song.

On October 22, 2010, in the third segment of SBS “Hope TV”, the show will air a special on Park Yong-ha and his philanthropic work titled “Beautiful Man: Park Yong-ha”.

Let’s celebrate the opening of the Yona School and continue to remember Park Yong-ha as not just a talented actor, but a kind and generous person as well.

On October 5, 2010, Kim Hee-chul of Super Junior revealed a picture of “Lady Suju” that he received from a fan on his twitter.

The photoshopped picture was sent by a fan overseas and he decided to retweet it so it can be seen on his twitter as well. In the picture, the members of Super Junior are all dressed as girls in school uniforms sporting Lady Gaga’s ribbon hair-do.

After looking at the picture, many fans have responded saying that they look so pretty as girls and some have even stated that Hee-chul is the prettiest.

All the members are pretty enough to pull off as girls in this picture, but what makes this picture even more beautiful is that all 13 members (including Ki-bum and Han-kyung) are in it. Don’t you think?

Sandara Park of 2NE1 recently uploaded some funny pictures on her me2day.

On October 5, 2010, Sandara posted the above pictures. For the picture on the left where she is wearing the winged sweater, Sandara wrote “What’s up? ^.^ Today is the day when you have to watch a lot of our performances on TV~! It isn’t a lot but it is a lot for us, right?! We had some weeks in the past when we only had one broadcast per week! 2NE1 TV also airs at 6:00pm today~! Kyah~ So excited!!!!!!!! ㅠㅠAnd at 11:00pm we are on the radio show “Park Kyung Rim’s Starry Night”~! Kyah~ What song will we sing today??? ^_^”

For the right picture of her sporting a hat and a white wedding dress, Sandara wrote “What’s up?!? 30 minutes from now, 2NE1 TV starts!!! ^.^ HipHop bride – A new era of wedding dresses! Have you ever wondered what the world star does during his free time?

Rain was spotted in the audience of a recent baseball game. What gathered interest was the guy who is sitting beside him. Reporters confirmed that he was with Baek-ka from Koyote. Since the weather is getting colder now in Korea, Rain wore a hunting cap and tried to cover his face with a pair of cool sunglasses.

JYJ(Hero Jae-joong, Micky Yoo-chun,and Xiah Jun-su) will begin their world tour showcase in Korea on October 12th. They will be promoting their international album “The Beginning“. The October 12th show will be held two times at Korea University’s Hwaseong Tiger Dome at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. The band will perform 5 tracks from their album. They are even scheduled to perform from the soundtrack of the popular drama “SungKyunKwan Scandal”.

The band was quoted stating the following:

“We’ve fulfilled our hopes of presenting our worldwide album to our Korean fans first. We’ll do our best to give them the best performances ever for the continued love and support they have shown us”

Tickets for the show are available through the online reservation site Interpark. All of the proceeds from the ticket sales will go to World Vision (an organization helping aid children in poverty).

JYJ will tour nine cities in six countries before concluding the tour.Their future tour dates and locations have not been disclosed.

He is the latest actor to……

join the military. The actor known for his roles in many dramas including ”Daughters-in-Law” and ”Wish Upon a Star“, entered the Nonsan military training camp on October 4th. Ji-hoon will train in the camp located in the province of South Chungcheong for a few weeks before heading to the main base for the remainder of his term.

The actor was quoted stating the following to the media and his fans:

“I will leave behind who I am as I enter the military. I will engage myself in military life with the thought that I am not myself anymore…My fellow actors advised me not to try and beat everyone at everything the whole time in training camp.”

POPSEOUL! wishes him all the best. We will patiently wait for his return to the entertainment industry in two years.

MC Mong has been found guilty!

We have the latest updates in the MC Mong draft dodging investigation.

For four days a citizen committee (consisted of nine people including: an accountant,college professor,farm owner, etc), has been deliberating the case of MC Mong. They were trying to decide if he was guilty of avoiding his military duty or was this matter all a misunderstanding. Well, the citizen committee decided to charge him with the suspected crime.Prosecutors from the Seoul Central Prosecutors Office chose the committee to examine the case and currently the celebrity has been booked and he is ready to appear in court.

Song Joong-ki thinks he resembles James Dean?

The cute Music Bank MC is channeling the 1950′s movie star.

Song Joong-ki does not actually think he looks like James Dean,however,he did play the 50′s role in his recent photo shoot. Joong-ki modeled for the October issue of Bazaar Magazine and the bad guy theme brought out the inner James Dean persona within him.

Below is what a photo shoot representative stated:

"We wanted to show a side of Song Joong Ki people are not familiar with. He looks like a young James Dean. He got applauded by the staff on set because of his professionalism."

So, we guess Song Joong-ki is just naughty by nature.Who knew he had a bad boy image just waiting to get out?

MBLAQ’s third album!

MBLAQ,the famous boy band, has confirmed that they will be releasing a new album soon.

MBLAQ's Mir started a twitter conversation with Park Kyung-lim,the host of the "Starry Night" radio program. Mir was talked about working on MBLAQ's third album.

Mir stated the following tweet:

"Mom ㅠㅠ I miss you ㅠㅠ ㅠㅠ", to which Park replied, "Do not call me mom~~~~~ ㅠㅠㅠ". Mir tweeted back an hour later, "We are releasing the third album soon, so please save room for us ㅠㅠ." Like a caring parent, Park indulgently said, "Hurry up and come~~~"

upcoming movie that will be released on the 28^th of October.

Recently,the official teaser was released.This movie is really special and different from other Korean movies because Acoustic the movie is composed of three short films. The first will start with Shin Se-kyung,the second part is with a member of 2AM, Im Seulong, and finally the third part is with Min Hyuk and Lee Jong-hyun from the famous boy band CNBlue.
