Kim Hyun-joong talks about his relationship with Bae Yong-joon! Posted: 02 Oct 2010 09:07 AM PDT The Mischievous Kiss actor,Kim Hyun-joong, is finally revealing how close he is with the international mega star! Hyun-joong joined Bae Yong-joon’s company KEYEAST earlier this year. The two were even seen having private meetings prior to his contract signing. So what kind of relationship do they have? In a recent interview with Women’s Joongang Magazine, the singer/actor tells us. Read the except here: “Yong-joon hyung and I often chat about relationships with women while having drinks….I just call him Yong-joon hyung. I can't call him 'the president' or 'Yonsama'. I can't call him Ahjeossi ( middle-aged man) either (laugh). I have a very comfortable relationship with him. We talk about our problems and we chat for hours easily. Sometimes, we get excited about pretty girls when we're drinking. We talk about old girlfriends as well. We're just like other men.” They must have a perfect Flowers in the Winter relationship! However, it would be very awkward if their found out their “First Love” started with a “Mischievous Kiss” from the same lady! |
Superstar K-2 contestant: Majority…comments…ugly gays Posted: 02 Oct 2010 08:13 AM PDT This one contestant has suicidal thoughts in his head Superstar K-2 contestant, Park Woosik, recently revealed on an interview with Star News that he wanted to commit suicide after “coming out” on the show. “After the episode went on air, over 10,000 people searched up my name, dug up information about my past, and said things that never should have been said.” Looks like the netizens are looking for a different target after failing previously. Park Woosik continued, “When I first went on Superstar K-2, I wanted to reveal the real side of myself, a side that only my younger brother knows. I didn’t think people would take it so negatively. (REALLY?) Nobody cared about how proud I was to be gay, or how badly I wanted to achieve my childhood dream of becoming a singer. They only focused on things that were false, like how I used my sexual orientation to obtain fame.” Asked if he thought he was a bit over-reacting, he replied, “Regardless, it’s unfair for them to emphasize the fact that I am gay. Majority of hateful comments are pointing fingers at me for being an ‘ugly gay.‘” It looks like Park Woosik is still struggling to be accepted by society. “When the people at my workplace found out I was gay, they were pretty surprised. But it’s getting better now. But my mother is embarrassed of me. I couldn’t even go home for Chuseok.“ Park Woosik concluded with these hopeful words, “Just because someone is gay doesn’t mean they have to look good. I want to be known has a confident gay singer. I hope netizens will stop digging up my past and making fun of my looks.” This is by far one of the most sensitive topics PopSeoul has covered. So I’ll leave this one up to you guys with your opinions. But some questions I had in mind was, “Who is to blame?” Superstar K-2? Park Woosik? His mother? Or should this topic have been an issue at all? Give us your thoughts. |

2NE1 on Sketchbook (Performance & Interview inside!) Posted: 02 Oct 2010 07:35 AM PDT What funny incident occurred during the show? K-Pop sensation, 2NE1, appeared on “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook” for the second time since their debut. Back as bigger stars, the girls lit up the stage with their usual fierce and charismatic performances. They brought back “I Don’t Care (Reggae Remix)” and performed two of their title tracks, “Can’t Nobody” and “Go Away.” 2NE1 also did an interview covering many topics: the growing maturity of Minzy, trip to America, collaboration with Will.I.Am, and the new concept of performing three title tracks. As for the funny incident: Sandara Park decided to take a selca with her members and Yoo Hee Yeol DURING the show, bringing laughter during the recording (as you can see in the third picture above). Sandara Park is such a clown. Later that day, she uploaded the photo on her me2day and captioned: “Heart is beating faster. Second time on Sketchbook after a year~! ^_^ Met Hee Yeol oppa for the second time…It was an awesome stage with the live band…Kya~! We took this picture during the recording, everyone came out funny but I think it will be a cute memory. Tonight 12:30 AM~ Sketchbook Go Go Go ^.^” Seems like the girls really enjoyed their appearance on the show. Now check out the performance and interview below and give us your thoughts! KBS denies HAM of being “So Sexy” Posted: 01 Oct 2010 04:33 PM PDT Girl group HAM has been rejected by KBS for their comeback song, “So Sexy” of being too provocative and sexually implicit. HAM’s agency, Lee Yeon Entertainment stated “It passed MBC's review. SBS's results are to come out today, but the response seems negative. We've noticed that netizens have a mixed response on this as well and we don't see the controversy ending any time soon.” Their choreography for the song is deemed ‘Sexually implicit’ as well as their lyrics having too strong sexual innuendo’s such as “I’ll have you,” and “Come inside me.” Check out their comeback stage on M! Countdown yesterday: Lee Yeon Entertainment concluded with, “We will be editing as much of the lyrics and choreography as we can without drastically changing their original image. The song will be re-submitted for another review.” With a group name like HAM, I don’t think anything they do is too sexy. Agreed? |
