After much rumours on 2NE1 signing with Avex, it has been confirmed that they have indeed signed with Avex judging from their official Japan website. On the bottom left of their website is a link to Avex's official page for 2NE1. & Going to that page, you click on Information & it will tell you that ... they are releasing a japanese album on the 8th of December. Album be in 2 versions including a CD Version @ 3059Yen & a CD+DVD @ 3990Yen.

Will the album include japanese versions of their hit? We will have to wait and see.Credit:

[NEWS] Hyomin, "I got the worst score for the stewardess test"

It seems T-ara's Hyomin is not cut out for being a stewardess.

On the first episode of T-ara's new reality show titled 'T-ara Dreamgirls' that aired on the 27th, T-ara tried out to be stewardesses. Through this new reality show, T-ara will try out different careers, showing experiences of a real woman, rather than their celebrity lives.


On the first episode, T-ara had to pass an interview, to be qualified. Various test such as how to deal with passengers who want you to sing a song, how to respond to foreigners and such. The hard interview left T-ara nervous.

Hyomin showed her usual self, she provides a good mood and wants to give good service. But she got the worst score!

[News] ‘MAMA’ Sets to Take Place, Public Brodcasting Companies and Cable Network’s Feud Left Singers In Vain

Mnet will hold the 2010 Mnet Asia Music Award (MAMA) on November 28th at Venetian Resort in Macau. The feud between the public broadcasting companies and the cable networks is leaving artists management companies unhappy.

As to why they chose Macau, Mnet's representative explained, " All this while "MAMA" has been trying to establishe itself as the Korean representative for music awards. However, from now on we are going to venture throughout Asia countries through music awards. The first one will be held in Macau, and there are plans to hold MAMA in toher countries too in the future."

Since MAMA will be held in Macau, many Korean artists have to be out of country in order to attend the award show. This will conflict with their appearance in music shows like MBC's "Music Core" and SBS' "Inkigayo". Crews of "Show! Music Core" and "Inkigayo" refrained from talking about Mnet's MAMA.

However, SBS explained, "The viewers are our first (priority) for our live show, "Inkigayo". The show will go on live whether or not popular artists perform. The PD and crews are against the 'pre-recording' concept." The SBS representative continued, "If it's really inevitable, it is alright for one or two teams to do pre-recording, but that does not occure if the reason is because they are attending MAMA. That's the policy of 'Inkigayo'."

According to MBC, "Until now there has not been any discussion about the artists' appearances in regards of MAMA. There are still a lot of time left, and each week we are busy preparing for live shows."

Management agency representatives are also expressing their concerns, "Due to Mnet holding the MAMA overseas, artists will face difficulties appearing in local music shows. On the other hand, if they choose not to participate in the Mnet event, it will be hard to the artists to appear in cable network (Mnet) in the future. This is definitely a tough decision to make."

CNBLUE's Jung Yonghwa (SBS' 'Inkigayo') and 2PM's Junho and Chansung (MBC's 'Show! Music Core') are facing conflict over the issue of their appearance (in MAMA) due to the duties as MCs for their respective music shows.


Mnet said, "Nothing is yet to confirm until now. The artists might leave on Friday and spend 2 nights and 3 days (in Macau) or leave on Saturday afternoon instead. We are currently discussing with the major broadcasting companies to find the best solution. The aim of "MAMA" is really commendable, it's a shame we have to be in dispute over this issue with the other parties (public broadcasting companies)."

It seems that there will be about 20-30 artists that will be participating in the award show. Meanwhile, the categories for this year's Mnet's Asia Music Award (MAMA) are as follows:

[NEWS] Super Show 3 to air in 3D on TV

Super Junior third Asia tour "Super Show 3" live concert will be aired on TV in 3D.

"Super Show 3" will air on channel 66 which becomes the first in the world to test broadcast in full HD 3D. The channel will start airing on the 29th for two weeks.

On this broadcast of the live concert, "Sorry Sorry," "Miinah," "U," and "Don't Don," a total of four songs will air in 3D.

This live concert is from "Super Show 3" in Seoul which was held on August 14th and 15th at Seoul Jamsil Olympic park gymnastic stadium. The full version of live concert which was filmed in 3D will be released in theaters later.

This test broadcast has especially organized "Super Show 3" as its only concert content, garnering the interest of music fans.

The four-member vocal group 2AM said this about their first official album, 'Saint O'Clock', that they had announced after 2 years and 3 months.

2AM held a showcase commemorating the release of their official album on the 27th at Seoul Kwangjangdong Ax Korea, and did not hide their touched feelings and anticipation.

Especially for 2AM's leader Jo Kwon, the meaning of this official album was different than anyone's. Since he waited exactly 8 years as a trainee and 2 years after debut, filling up exactly 10 years, Jo Kwon opened his mouth saying, "I still can't believe it".

Jo Kwon showed his confidence, saying, "We didn't even think that we were ever going to release an official album all this time we were active. We sang it with all our feelings, so I think our honest feelings will be shown to the listeners. It's a good album that I won't have any regrets about".

Continuing, he revealed, "In the two years after we debuted on July 11th of 2008, all four members built up their experience. 2AM will be carrying out activities with 'Like Crazy' and 'You Wouldn't Answer My Calls' as double title tracks.

Changmin introduced the songs with "'Like Crazy' is a song that focuses on the melody. The melody has a suction force, which will make you want to listen to more. 'You Wouldn't Answer My Calls' is a song that focuses on each of the 2AM members' voices, which will make it more enjoyable to listen to as you can feel each member's different atmospheres". Hit producer Bang Sihyuk, who made 'Even if I die, I can't send you' participated in the production of the title song 'You Wouldn't Answer My Call'.

On the other hand, this day's showcase was filmed with a 3D camera, and will be made as a 'Live in 3D' 2AM show, and will be shown in Korea's theaters around the beginning of December.

Korean ballad group 2AM will officially launch their singing career in eight Asian countries next month, joining a line of K-pop artists who have branched out into the international music markets.

The news came yesterday during the group's showcase introducing their first full-length album "Saint o'clock" to local and foreign media at the AX-Korea hall in Seoul, when member Seulong spoke about the group's upcoming activities overseas.

"Our first album will go on sale in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan and Thailand," Seulong said. "We haven't gone on many promotional tours in Asia so we were happy to hear that it will be released in those countries."

An official at Big Hit Entertainment, producer and publicist of 2AM, further backed what the singer said, explaining that "Saint o'clock" will be released in the eight countries successively starting mid-November with a promotional tour in those countries planned for early next year.

"Saint o'clock," which went on sale in Korea starting October 26, has been produced in a regular version and limited edition with the latter album featuring eleven songs from the regular record plus two bonus tracks.

Two tracks from the boys latest release, "Like Crazy" and "You Didn't Answer My Call," have been set as the title songs, which will be promoted simultaneously, Changmin stated at the showcase.

The music videos for the two songs were shown during the showcase which was then followed by a live performance of the two songs.

Trained and discovered by one of Korea's biggest talenthouses JYP Entertainment, 2AM released their debut single "This Song" in July 2008 and released follow-up "Time For Confession" a year later.

They are known for their hit ballads including "Can't Let You Go Even If I Die" and "I Did Wrong" as well as having branched out into various facets of the entertainment industry such as hosting radio shows and appearing on variety programs.

The group will hold their first solo concert this Christmas at Korea University's Hwaseong Tiger Dome from December 24 to 26 and give their comeback performance on Mnet's televised music program "M! CountDown" today.
