| Davichi’s Kang Minkyung gets slapped! Posted: 15 Oct 2010 03:12 PM PDT Was it because of her recent mic malfunction on M! Countdown? Nahhhh~~~ Davichi‘s Kang Minkyung recently uploaded this picture via Twitter and captioned, “I got slapped in the morning. Hehe, it’s fun!“ Now what in the world is she talking about IT’S FUN?! The picture clearly shows her right cheek bright red after being slapped by a southpaw. Now now, don’t worry guys. If you didn’t know, Kang Minkyung is currently a rookie actor filming for the upcoming SBS drama titled “Smile, Mom.“ Unfortunately, Minkyung‘s acting career took off with a scene where she gets slapped by her mother after receiving a harsh opposition. Ouch! Imagine having to get slapped in the morning while you’re half asleep. Who knows, maybe a nice slap to the face can wake you up faster than a cup of coffee! It will be Kang Minkyung‘s first acting stint. So let’s cheer and hope her acting career is successful as her ongoing singing career. “Smile, Mom” is set to air its first episode on November 6th.              |

Star News recently held a survey that asked who we thought was the cutest makae (youngest member) in girl groups: f(x)‘s Sulli or miss A‘s Suzy. The poll ended on October 15th with a total of 1,093,156 voters. So who came out on top and now has the title of the cutest girl group maknae? Sulli!!! 68% of netizens voted for Sulli! This is seriously a dilemma for me. If I choose Sulli, I feel like I’m betraying Suzy. If I choose Suzy, I feel like I’m betraying Sully. So I’ll keep my vote to myself. BUT! Former H.O.T member, Jang Woo Hyuk (aka Hammer Boy for his famous dance during for their debut single “Candy), is making the headlines because of the recently released photo of his chiseled abs. The picture is supposedly a photo during the set of Jang Woo Hyuk‘s upcoming jacket album photoshoot. The 32 year old’s body is making fans drool: - “Reminds me of the Statue of David!” - “Now those are perfect chocolate abs.” Seems like 2PM has some competition! Hosting alongside T-ara‘s Hyomin, Kang Minkyung took the stage to introduce Co-Ed‘s “Too Late.” However, her lack of MC-experience got the best of her as she forgot to bring her mic! She tried her best to improvise by holding an imaginary, invisible mic. But she must have forgotten that without a mic, her voice couldn’t be heard as she cracked up and laughed in embarrassment. Hyomin took the cue and acted quickly and introduced the next performance. Netizens, however, thought the mistake was extremely cute! - “The invisible mic is awesome!” - “She is still beautiful.” - “That was funny and smart!” Check out clip! According to Kang Min-hyuk‘s management company, the drummer has been taking acting classes since CN Blue‘s debut. Kang Min-hyuk also has been auditioning for several roles and is looking forward to his first big screen debut in the movie “Acoustic” alongside Jong-hyun of CN Blue and Seul-ong of 2AM. But Min-hyuk‘s first television role will be in the SBS drama “It’s Okay, Daddy’s Daughter“. In the drama, Min-hyuk will play a member of a band who harbors unrequited love for the female lead character by the name of Eun Chae-Ryung. Eun Chae-Ryung will be played by Moon Chae-won, actress well-known for her roles in SBS dramas “Shining Inheritance” and “The Painter of the Wind“. Dong-hae of Super Junior has also been offered a lead role in the drama, but presently, he remains undecided. “It’s Okay, Daddy’s Daughter” will air after “Dr. Champ” ends its run. | SM:”Both Jong-hyun and Key suffered injuries” Posted: 15 Oct 2010 06:12 AM PDT Two SHINee members were injured at a concert overseas. The following is an explanation from a SM Entertainment representative about what occurred on the 12th: “Jong-hyun and Key suffered minor injuries after the Indonesia-Korea Friendship Sharing Concert 2010. The proper security measures were not taken regarding crowd control after the concert. Both Jong-hyun and Key went to the hospital on October 13 when they returned to Korea. Jong-hyun will be taking a break for about two to three days while wearing a cast since he has sprained his left ankle slightly and Key has complained he has chest pains.” It has been reported that their injuries will not affect SHINee‘s current schedule and the members will recover and receive the proper rest very soon. A representative from the Tokyo Drama Awards was quoted stating the message above about the mega hit 2009 drama “IRIS“. The TDA wants to present actor Lee Byung-hun with the Best Chocolate Abs…I mean.. Best Actor in Asia Award. The steamy star has already taken Korea’s breath away and now Japan is next. In addition to Byung-hun’s honor, the drama itself will recieve a special foreign project award. The CEO of Taewon Entertainment and Byung-hun will be present to recieve their awards at the Tokyo Drama Awards 2010 in the Meiji Memorial Hall on October 25th.           |
