| Posted: 25 Sep 2010 05:05 AM PDT With My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho nearing its end, SBS’s new Wednesday-Thursday show, Daemul, is preparing to go on the air. (It premieres October 6.) Here are a few trailers, as well as new stills that show lead actress Go Hyun-jung as a television broadcast announcer, which was her career before being elected president. While the first trailer to come out was lighter in tone, the new ones have a much different vibe — more forceful, urgent, and with a more serious bent. (Note about the title: Daemul is slang meaning “big shot,” which many of you have noted is also in use in Sungkyunkwan Scandal. | My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho: Episode 14 Posted: 24 Sep 2010 08:20 PM PDT Episode 13′s game-changer was a tough act to follow for sure, and I was a little worried that we’d sap all the dramatic tension out of the story once all the rules went out the window. Thankfully, the dramatic tension still abounds, but sadly, it means that the old rules just get replaced with new ones. As it turns out though, it doesn’t much matter what the macguffin is, since these characters, without fail, make me laugh out loud and clutch my heart as they race toward the finish line. | Oh Yeon-soo’s polished look in fashion shoot Posted: 24 Sep 2010 04:33 PM PDT There were a lot of things wrong with Bad Guy. A lot. But Oh Yeon-soo, the actress who played Hong Tae-ra, was definitely not one of them. She was brilliant as the cold and distant ice queen who sizzled every time she touched Kim Nam-gil. I kid you not. There was steam. Her recent shoot for LG fashion label Daks has all of the cool sophistication of Hong Tae-ra, but much more confidence. She’s so statuesque. I envy her poise. Get on that Episode 7 recap!” No fear, it’ll be out soon… but for the obsessed fans out there who can’t wait for the next recap, or the next episode for that matter, I’m posting these NG cuts and Interviews to help cope with the wait. The interview asks each cast member to name their favorite/most significant scene so far, and I was pleased to see that the ones they picked were some of my favorite scenes also. | Character stills from Flames of Ambition Posted: 24 Sep 2010 09:30 AM PDT Yoo Seung-ho has certainly grown up — or at least his image has — for his latest role. He plays husband to Seo Woo in the upcoming MBC weekend drama Flames of Ambition, which used to be called A Woman Only Loves Once In Her Life. In a nutshell, the drama explores the themes of greed, power, and ambition in one family, though we could have figured from the title. You can’t talk about the pairing of the young couple without taking note of the ages (and age gap) of the stars; Yoo Seung-ho just turned 17, still a minor, while Seo Woo, despite her young face, is 25. Seo Woo plays an actress who has simultaneously the most anti-fans and the most die-hard fans, who’s on the fast track to success.
