JUNSU/JEJUNG/YUCHUN will be halting all activities in Japan for the time being.

The management company in Korea representing JUNSU/JEJUNG/YUCHUN, C-JeS ENTERTAINMENT CO.,LTD's representative was reported to have been found guilty of using his father's power and ties with gangs to blackmail the artist he was responsible for, and served time for coercion. Avex has been investigating the validity of news reports, and it was found that, though the speculations of the head's ties with gangs cannot be verified, the rest of the report stated above was factual.

Also, as the exclusive contract lawsuit is still progressing for JUNSU/JEJUNG/YUCHUN in Korea, the probability of our company's exclusive contract with the company being invalid has become higher.

We would like to inform you that the Japanese activities of JUNSU/JEJUNG/YUCHUN, exclusive artists of Avex Entertainment Inc. (100% subsidiary of our company, head office in Minato district, Tokyo), will be suspended for the time being.

This is with regards to the reports that the representative of JUNSU/JEJUNG/YUCHUN's current Korean management agency, CJeS Entertainment Co., Ltd. Inc., whose father holds a high position in the mafia. The said representative has used his father's strength to blackmail artists and has served a term in prison, under charges of duress. We have therefore conducted a research for the facts.

According to the results, the relations with the mafia are unclear. However, all the other reports as written above have been proven to be true.

MANILA, Philippines - Filipino fans will finally get to see K-pop star Jay Park (aka Park Jaebum) when he visits the Philippines in October.

Jay Park will hold the Philippine leg of his first Fan Meets Tour 2010 on Oct. 3 at the SMX Convention Center located inside the SM Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City.

The fan meet kicked off in Seoul last Aug. 28 at the Hwajung Korea University.

"I am blessed to have such incredible fans. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to go on the road and meet with you in so many great cities. I hope to make you proud," Jay said when he announced his fan meet in July.

Jay will be joined in the fan meet by his b-boy group Art of Movement (AOM).

Before going to Manila, Jay will hold a fan meeting in Singapore that will be held at the Wave House, Sentosa on Sept. 25.

Jay is enjoying success as a solo artist this year after leaving K-pop boy band 2PM. He will star in his first international movie "Hype Nation."

Jay also signed with Warner Music Group and released his first single "Nothin' On You" in various versions. His first mini-album, "Count on Me," sold 70,000 copies just a week after its release on July 13.

3 member DBSK unit, Junsu, YuChun, JaeJoong stopped their activities in Japan.

On the 16th, their Japanese entertainment company Avex announced "3 membered DBSK will stop japanese activities temporarily due to various issues". One issue being the representative of CJes, which is responsible for management of DBSK, is currently having issues at court. Avex announced that unless these issues are solved, they cannot be responsible for DBSK's japanese activities, hence temporarily ceasing their activities.

These two members are replacing the other two members who left Girl's Day.

Their names are YooRa and HyeRi. They are respectively 18 and 16 years old and their faces were revealed on the 16th.

YooRa is currently attending Ulsan Art High School, 168cm, 49kg and excels in dancing. HyeRi is 166cm, 46kg, attending Seoul Art High School and is known to be excellent at marathon running.

[News] YouTube version of “Naughty Kiss” to air starting November!

Korean TV series "Naughty Kiss" starring popular singer and actor Kim Hyun-joong will be turned into an online version which will show on video-sharing website YouTube starting November.

A press conference was held at Google Korea's headquarters in Seoul on Wednesday, announcing that the TV show's producer Group 8 and YouTube owner Google have agreed to create a YouTube version of the series originally based on Japanese comic "Itazura na Kiss."

The two parties explained that seven ten-minute long episodes, with the same cast and director from the TV show but with new or additional details, will be newly shot and distributed through an exclusive channel on YouTube, allowing viewers from across the world to watch the show.

"This is an innovative attempt through which a domestic drama broadcast on a public network will newly be produced into an online version, and it has significance in that it will diversify the channel through which video contents are distributed," Group 8 CEO Song Byung-joon remarked.

Starting early October, when the channel for the YouTube version of "Naughty Kiss" opens, viewers will be able to submit entries for story idea contributions as well as take part in an event recruiting subtitle creators for the show from various country.

Directed by Hwang In-roi of "Goong" (MBC, 2006) and "The Return of the Iljimage" (MBC, 2009) fame, Kim and actress Jung So-min star in the TV show on air since early this month on major Korean broadcaster MBC.

Kim plays the role of Baek Sung-jo, the all-around Mr. Perfect-type character who ends up falling in love with a girl always getting into trouble, taken on by Jung.

While the original Japanese comic series has sold over 27 million copies in Japan and has been made into animation in Japan and a top-rated television drama in Taiwan, "Naughty Kiss" was sold to 12 countries across the world ahead of its premiere.

Singer Onew of boy band SHINee has said he thinks positively of celebrities pursuing multiple jobs.

The 20-year-old singer made the remark at a press call and press conference for musical "Rock of Ages" on Thursday, responding to a reporter's question on what he thinks about celebrities branching out their careers to various realms of the entertainment industry.

"I think that one person being able to do several things is an advantage," Onew started by saying. "I used to feel distant about singers taking on acting but not anymore…… I think a lot can be shown including singing, acting and musicals when one is given the chance."

Singer Dana, also a cast member of the musical, agreed with Onew. "I think an artist's job is to make the public laugh and feel moved…… The only difference is whether it's done by singing or acting so I think taking on musicals where you can do both with some extra effort, is good as well," she explained.

Musical "Rock of Ages," Broadway's newest production this year composed of rock music and lyrical pop music representative of the 80s, is making its premiere in Korea.

Starring singers Shin Sung-woo, Ahn Jae-wook, Onew, J and Dana, the show will run till October 30 at the Olympic Park in Seoul.
