Xiah Junsu, Hero Jaejoong and Micky Yoochun released their new min-album 'The…'. Despite being the first day of its release, the album has already secured the top spot on Japan's Oricon Daily album charts, selling over 70,000 copies.

There are 8 songs in total (including instrumental versions), 4 of which were performed for the first time in Osaka and Tokyo during their Dome concerts in June.

Solo artist SORI, who is currently active in the reality show, "Invincible Youth" returns with her third digital single album titled, "Black Sun." The title track, "You're Not My Style," was produced by rookie composer, NACO who also took part in the rap featuring in the song. NACO is expected to perform on stage with Sori during promotions as well.

"You're Not My Style" has American sounds along with lyrics fit for the Korean audience. This groovy medium-tempo dance number has hip-hop beats incorporated with catchy siren sounds heard throughout the track.

SORI will make her comeback stage performance on Music Bank on the 10th. In the meantime, check out her smokin' music video below and concept photos below!

[news] 2NE1 unveils music video stills for third single 'Go Away'

Korean girl group 2NE1 have revealed photographs of their music video being shot for the third title track of their upcoming album, agency YG Entertainment said Wednesday.

YG announced in a press release photos of the group on set filming the music video for the girls' third title track "Go Away" have been uploaded on the official YG blog, YG Life.

The photos showed the members of 2NE1 as a band, playing various musical instruments including drums, keyboard and guitar.

Since early September, the girls have garnered attention by releasing teaser videos and pictures from their first full-length album titled "To Anyone." They recently revealed the song "Can't Nobody" and other title track "Clap."

The four-member girl group splashed onto the K-pop music scene last year with an appearance in a mobile phone commercial for LG with labelmates Big Bang. They are known as one of the popular girl groups in the country for their various hit songs and fashion style.

The girls' new album "To Anyone" will be released locally and internationally tomorrow and they will give their comeback performance on SBS' Sunday music program "Inkigayo" on September 12.

SS501 member Park Jung-min has opened an official Facebook and Twitter website, according to his new agency CNR Media on Wednesday.

CNR stated in a press release that they opened official accounts on the popular online networks after discovering that several people had impersonated the singer, similar to the incidents to actors Jung Il-woo, Lee Min-ho and Kim So-eun.

"We believe that these people have caused harm upon Park's fans by impersonating the singer. We are currently preparing the official website for him and we have taken measures to open his official Facebook and Twitter site," explained an official from CNR Media.

The agency will update Park's fans on his upcoming activities and upload pictures of his daily lives on these webpages until they open the official website.

Park Jung-min made his debut as one of the members of the popular boy band SS501 in 2005. While releasing hit songs such as "Snow Prince," "U R Man" and "Love Ya" with the group, he has appeared in various television shows as well as starring the musical "Grease."

YG Entertainment has been releasing teasers or previews of 2NE1's upcoming title-tracks, not one, not two, but three songs to be promoted at the same time!


As of 7pm (KST) today, according to Hanteo.com, 2NE1's upcoming full length album "To Anyone" album pre-order has topped their real-time album sales charts. This shows great amount of interests from fans towards their comeback this week. A YG Entertainment representative told Newsen, "We are decorating the stage for the three songs, Go Away, Can't Nobody and Clap Your Hands.", "We are recording all 3 songs ahead of time."

Usually, artists prepare two songs for their comeback stages. In the case where they use side songs on the album which are not title songs, those songs are usually cut shorter and edited. However 2NE1 will be performing all 3 songs in full.

An 'Inkigayo' representative staed, "Before the songs were released, one of the title songs have already been completely pre-recorded.", "The remaining two songs will be prerecorded on the day of (the 12th).", "Compared to usual, their performance will be 3~4 minutes longer but they will not be taking away from other artists."

YG Entertainment currently has two artists doing activities - Se7en and Big Bang's Taeyang. Taeyang will be appearing on 'Inkigayo' on the 12th, however Se7en will not be participating due to his schedule and due to the fact it will be 2NE1's comeback stage. 'Inkigayo' representatives revealed, "In order to give support to 2NE1's comeback, Se7en will not be making a performance."

Although the broadcasting company and the entertainment company have discussed it, opinions on 2NE1's unique comeback performance have not been pretty. One representative in the industry stated, "This means that 2NE1 will be performing for over 10 minutes. In 10 minutes, 4 rookie singers could do performances.". When looking at the reality that editting will not be done for their performances, several people are responding by saying this is the first of its kind. Because of this, people have even accused strongly, "Is this a 2NE1 special episode?"

The 2NE1 comeback performance will be revealed on the 12th. As much as the process is filled with autotune, there is anticipation for its result to be authentic.

With a successful debut in Japan, girlgroup KARA 'Blu-ray Disc-KARA VACATION' released on 1st September is up #1 on Oricon weekly 'Blu-ray Disc' idol image category.
Not only is 'Blu-ray Disc KARA VACATION' up #1 on Oricon weekly chart but also #11 in the overall chart, the highest an idol image disc has gone up on the chart.
According to officials, the highest an idol image disc has gone up on the aggregate chart is Haramiki Megumi 'Beach Angels in Maui' which went up to the #13 spot. 'Blu-ray Disc-KARA VACATION' includes a 90-minute footage of the girls' CF shooting in Japan Okinawa and Guam in 2009 as well as a collections of images of the girls.

After the teaser video release for San E, who is known by many for his unique rapping and also called by the name of 'Teacher San' in the music scene, a gorilla teaser photo was revealed on his official homepage on 8th September.

[News] Girls' Generation's Japanese debut single to go on sale!

Korean pop sensation Girls' Generation's Japanese debut single will go on sale today in Korea and Japan, according to their agency SM Entertainment on Wednesday. SM announced in a press release that the girls' debut single "Genie," recorded in Japanese, will be unveiled on various music sites in Korea and Japan. 

SM also stated that they have plans to release the single in other Asian countries including Thailand, Taiwan and Malaysia if it does well in Korea and Japan. The girls officially kicked off their music career in Japan in August and soon after held their debut showcase at the Ariake Colosseum in Tokyo attended by over 20,000 fans and 1,000 local journalists, advertisers and record company officials. 

Their DVD "'少女時代到 ～日記念盤～New Beginning of Girls' Generation," which went on sale in Japan on August 11, has made them the first Korean girl group to place in the top 5 slots of the prestigious Oricon weekly DVD chart. Girls' Generation, composed of members Tiffany, Taeyeon, Yoona, Jessica, Sunny, Sooyoung, Seohyun and Hyoyeon, have been one of the most popular female idols in the country since their debut in 2007. 

The nine-member girl group performed in several countries in Asia such as China, Shanghai and Thailand for their "1st ASIA TOUR CONCERT - Into the New World" last year. They recently completed the second stop of the "SMTOWN LIVE '10 WORLD TOUR" in Los Angeles and will be heading off to Shanghai on September 11.

FT Island member, Lee Hongki, shows off his acting skills once again.
Lee Hongki was at the filming set of MBC Daily Sitcom "More Charming By The Day" on the 6th, making a cameo appearance as a chicken delivery man in the drama. With his pretty looks, Lee Hongki made many girls' hearts flutter when he appeared on screen as a chicken delivery man.

Aside from being impressed with the great turnout, they stated that Youtube played a good engine in attracting new fans all over the world for their talents.

A representative of SM Entertainment (hereafter refers to SM), Kim Young Min, said, "The world's famous video-sharing website, YouTube, has played the role of an engine to attract fans from all around the world."

On September 3 (hereafter indicates local time), Kim was interviewed at a restaurant located in Los Angeles and said, "SM signed a contract for providing content to YouTube last year. We built an official website within YouTube which already has an established variety of users worldwide, and people all around the world could watch the content from singers who belong to SM through the YouTube website."
