[News] Yunho Says “It Feels Like I’m Going On A MT With The SM Family”

U-Know Yunho of TVXQ stated that he felt like he was going on a MT with his fellow SM TOWN members.

After boarding the chartered plane headed for the USA for the SM TOWN LIVE '10 WORLD TOUR in L.A. concert, U-Know Yunho showed an attentive side when he said, "This trip that I'm spending with our SM TOWN family is very meaningful to me and I feel as though I'm leaving for a MT," and "I want to converse with the reporters and share stories that I never had a chance to share."

U-Know Yunho, who is busy preparing for the musical 'Goong' and filming an advertisement drama, also drew attention for taking friendly pictures with other singers such as fellow member Choikang Changmin and Girls' Generation member Soo Young.

[News] Oricon States, “Korean Girl Groups’ Popularity Is All Thanks To TVXQ”

Japan's renowned music chart Oricon is garnering attention for stating that TVXQ is the reason why Korean girl groups could attain popularity in Japan.

On the 2nd, their column 'The Eyes of the Editor-in-Chief' introduced the recent Japanese activities of Korean girl groups such as Kara, 4Minute and Girls' Generation and pointed out the majority of their Japanese fans are women in their teens and twenties.

Oricon stated, "TVXQ must be credited for K-pop and its girl groups' successful launch in Japan. It seems that the fans have been feeling a sense of loss since TVXQ suspended all activities, so the fans in their teens and twenties are focusing their attention on Korean girl groups."

Following this, the columnist added that, "Otherwise, it would have been impossible for these girl groups to have suddenly sold 30,000 copies of their album or have 20,000 people come to their events."

Goofy made a come back with 'Bad guy' and is gaining attention from a video of his performance with MR removed that is going around portal sites.

MR removed video means video of live singing with backing music reduced as much as possible, essentially being a live performance without backing music.

Netizens who saw this video commented "A fresh voice that wasn't heard on music programmes for a while!", "a perfect live CD!", "Awesome ability to sing!" and "Goofy came back as a musicians!"

There are still people who think Goofy is a idol group. But in fact they have debut 15yrs ago and they announced that they wished to be recognised as musicians.

They are already in the top 10 on many music sites and after releasing their mini album 'Unplugged Soul', they are expecting to be given opportunities to perform.

[News] CNBLUE prepared a magic show for SeoHyun on We Got Married!

On MBC We got married, Lee Jong Hyun, Lee Jung Shin and Kang Min Hyuk performed a magic show in front of Yong Hwa and Seo Hyun.

Under instructions from the main magician Kang Min Hyuk, Lee Jung Shin helped out. They showed the Yong-Seo couple many surprising magic techniques and Seo Hyun watched them intently.

The reason she was so focussed on the show was revealed in the Hidden Interview later. Kang Min Hyuk, who was a guest on the show didn't know how to act at Seo Hyun's reply.

The secret is revealed on this episode, aired on the 4th.

FT Island revealed their story about receiving an unique gift.

While recently filming for KBS2 Star Golden Bell, FT Island was asked "have you received any unique gifts from your Japanese fans," while talking about their Japanese promotions, and replied, "we've once got a life-sized female mannequin."

Jonghun of FT Island explained, "I think they probably thought we were feeling lonely because we were overseas, but we didn't know what to do with that doll," bursting everyone into laughter.

Then Jonghun exposed, "the doll is in Hongki's room at the moment," making Hongki embarrassed. So Hongki explained, "I've only brushed its hair once," making everyone laugh out loud.

Also, Jonghun and Seunghyun exposed, "when the members are in the shower, Hongki films it and blackmails us," while photos of Hongki sleeping outside during their time of Japan promotions were revealed, setting the audience with laughter.

FT Island's hilarious story about their Japanese promotions will be revealed on Star Golden Bell on the 9th, at 5:15 pm.

[News] Dasom of SISTAR not wearing her underpants on stages?

Girl group SISTAR became the talk of the town as soon as they started their activities with their 2nd single, "Shady Girl".

They became a big issue as the controversy of Dasom of Sistar not wearing her underpants has been amplified on various online sites.

On 27 August, while SISTAR made their comeback stages with "Shady Girl" on Music Bank, Music Core & Inkigayo, captured pictures of their exposed thigh, which didn't seem to have underpants on, have spread at a great speed through online websites.

In regards to this, SISTAR's agency, Starship Entertainment has spoken their point of view.

The agency said, "the main point of the dance for Shady Girl is a movement where you lift your leg up, and lots of people have said their black underpants don't look good so we have changed it to pink underpants on the Inkigayo stage."

Then they continued, "Because performing on a stage without underpants is impossible from a sensible point of view, it doesn't seem like we need an extra explanation. But as they are girl groups, exposure issues are sensitive cases and we are worried that the members may be hurt, therefore we have made our views clear."

In regards to this, some netizens doubt the agency, saying "they said they were wearing underpants but I can't see them", "I didn't watch the show, but seeing the pictures, it really seems like they're not wearing them", and so on.

Moreover, they are pointing out the problems of girl groups, not only SISTAR, saying "not only SISTAR but most of the girl groups have lots of issues with their costumes."

On the other hand, SISTAR is gaining popularity with their choreography for Shady Girl, and the song itself is doing very well on the top charts.

Japanese actress Ueno Juri talked about her impression of acting with Jaejoong in Fuji TV drama 'Sunao ni narenakute'.

Ueno Juri expressed her feelings to the reporters in Seoul Lotte Hotel in the morning of 3rd September that, 'Whenever there are scenes in which Jaejoong has to hold my hand or carry me, his face will turn red and run to the back while making 'aaaa...' sound. He will hide behind the wall, so we didn't interact that much. I even thought he hates me. Later when we become closer, and I asked him why he behaved that way, I was told that he deliberately kept a certain distance from me since he was acting as a character who likes me in the drama.

She praised that actor Jaejoong is a friend with outstanding insight. She said, 'During an interview, Jaejoong mentioned that I am a person full of passion. From my point of view, Jaejoong is a caring friend. He even damages his own image to lighten up the atmosphere, he also has great insight. There was a scene where he needs to make a quick turn when fighting using briefcase, which can originally be done in a blink of eye. However, when it was broadcasted, he called and told me that the photographer was also shot in the scene. When I watched back the scene he mentioned later on, I couldn't find it. Instead it was the staff who found it. His eyesight is superb to be able to notice it, because the scene only last for a short time.'

Besides that, he brought both Japanese and Korean scripts to the filming site, and memorized his lines well. His acting skills is outstanding. He is good in sports too, and is able to accomplish all the actions by himself. In my opinion, he is a very good actor.'

Ueno Juri and Hero Jaejoong acted in the drama 'Sunao ni narenakute'. The drama is about the process of a true friendship built among the people who met each other through network. Popular japanese actors including Eita were acting in this drama too.

When it comes to commercial (called CF in Korea) contracts, most stars are replaced by a new, fresh face when the term comes to an end. In some cases, the company will ask the star to re-sign for another term. However, re-signing of contracts never exceeds more than two or three times for most celebrities. But then again, Lee Hyori is not just your average celebrity.?After eight years -- ten if you count her FINK.L days -- she is still dubbed the "CF Queen".

The best example of Lee being a powerhouse in the CF industry is her contract with the soju brand, Like The First Time. Lee Hyori's hold on the liquor advertisement realm has not weakened after ten long years. She broke the record that she herself had set by re-signing with the company for the sixth time. A Like The First Time official said that the pop star not only raised brand awareness, but increased overall sales.?


After all these years, the new and re-signing offers are still rolling in. This is even after all the plagiarism controversies over her latest album. Related officials from the advertisement market are saying there's no star that can take her place and that she's still the number one choice for most companies. If you do the math, Lee has earned over five billion won this year alone.?


Currently, the singer has her toe dipped in several sectors: liquor, food, beverage, sports, home appliances, and fashion. It's hard to say how many deals she has in total because there are a number of pending contracts that haven't been officially announced. So far though, seven different contracts have been confirmed. At least two to three are almost guaranteed to be added to the list by the end of this year.?

An advertisement insider shared that a star is considered to be a long-term CF model if they can pass the three year mark. However, in Lee Hyori's case, she's not only passing the eight year mark, but she's spent those eight years as one of the cream of the crop CF faces. Whether there's bad press or good press, the diva has her own unique charm that has kept her in the game for this long. He added that it's almost entertaining for liquor companies to all sit back and watch, to see how much longer she's going to stay on top.

So Nyeo Shi Dae has been awarded the singer award at the Korean Broadcast Awards.

The 37th Korean Broadcast award took place at 5.10pm on 3rd September in KBS Hall. And So Nyeo Shi Dae was awarded a trophy for winning the singer award. However the girls are not present at the award ceremony as they are currently in the States for SMTown concert.

After fracturing her thumb and enduring onstage falls recently, Bora and the rest of SISTAR are well and ready to continue to rock out on stage. The girls of SISTAR showed the audience what kind of girls they are by performing their comeback track 'Shady Girl'. In their music video, Super Junior's Heechul was featured and overall, the video was definitely cute and great to watch!

As for the song, it's really one everyone should listen to. Although SISTAR only recently debuted earlier this year, they have the potential to grab people's attention and their song choices really helps them in doing so.
