[News] SHINee members enjoy their day with the Korea’s president and FIFA U-17 Female World Cup Korea National Team

Today, SHINee visited the Korea's President with the FIFA U-17 Female World Cup Korea National Team.
Not only they were able to see the team members, they were also close beside the Korea's President, Lee Myung Park.

SHINee was invited to the President's house because they were chosen by the players as their favorite idol group.
They performed 2 songs at their small stage made for them, which were "Noona Neomu Yeppo" & "Ring Ding Dong", bring joy and excitement to the players.

Soon after, the official me2day account of Cheonwadae posted a picture, saying "After watching the players enjoy SHINee's stage a lot, the President and The First Lady wanted to take a picture so that the players remember this meaningful day."
They also received very warm responses. Check out this video!



Looks like even the players are fangirls of SHINee.

[News] Amber of f(x) quitting? What is the reason for her absence in reality show, "Koala"?

While receiving a lot of attention for their own variety show for five member girl group, f(x), rumors have been circulating around amongst fans, saying group member, Amber, has already quit.

f(x)'s first reality variety show, "f(x)'s Koala" which will soon start to broadcast on MBC Every1, will reveal the various cultural experiences of the members while in LA, Tokyo, and other world famous cities, which will no doubt be an extreme type of "real variety" for Korean audiences.

However, only four of the members of the group, excluding Amber, will be featured in the program. Because of Amber's absence in recent activities, suspicions, such as "Is she quitting", have been spreading. However, news about Amber staying in America with her parents while resting for her ankle injury to heal has been cleared up.

A representative from f(x)'s agency company, SM Entertainment, has revealed on me2day Star News stating that "Because of Amber's naturally weak ankle area, yet still forcing herself to attend activities, this had led to her condition worsening. After the diagnosis of the problem, it was concluded that she had to rest in hospital. Due to this situation, she hasn't been able to attend activities."

Regarding the recent rumors of her "quitting", the representative has expressed that it is impossible that she has quit.

On the other hand, apart from the injured Amber, f(x) have been rigorously undertaking individual activies. The first episode of f(x)'s first reality variety show, "Koala", will reveal their dormitory and various charms such as their special individual talents. [News] KBS, teen drama 'Jungle Fish 2' changed to 9pm broadcast

For no apparent reason, the first broadcast of KBS teen drama 'Jungle Fish 2' was postponed to a different channel and timeslot. The broadcast was confirmed to be on October 21 at 9pm.

KBS said on the evening of the 29th, "KBS special 8-part teen drama 'Jungle Fish 2' will have its first broadcast on October 21 (Thurs) at 9pm on KBS 2TV".

'Jungle Fish 2' was originallly scheduled to air on the 25th at 5.10pm, the staff announced on the official home page one day before the broadcast on the 24th at 6pm, "The first broadcast of 'Jungle Fish 2' this Saturday (9/25) has been delayed, please correct the mistake".

When the broadcast was delayed, the producers announced on 'Jungle Fish 2' me2day, "The first broadcast has been postponed due to some internal affairs", "Unfortunately, we will reveal the exact broadcast date and time soon".

A controversy of a popular Japanese girl group copying Kara has been rising.

Korean netizens are in doubt that the Japanese idol girl group, '9 nine', have copied Kara's clothing concepts, who released their debut single 'Mister' in Japan in early August.

A 5-member female idol group '9 nine' who debuted in 2005 recently released a single album with a concept similar to Kara's clothing for 'Mister' – short-sleeved colour t-shirts, baggy hip-hop pants and even the gloves.

Moreover, netizens are suspecting that Kara has influenced them a lot, making a point that '9 nine', who used to rely on their cute images, transformed into a powerful and sexy concept as SNSD and Kara had quite an impact on the Japanese girl group industry.

Netizens have commented on internet forums, saying "You can tell that it's similar to the concept for 'Mister'," "This is like copying the concept," "I can see nothing different from 'Mister's image," and have expressed their doubts and suspicions.

While some netizens are disagreeing, saying "Different singers' different images influence each other of course, so aren't you reacting too sensibly?" but most netizens are agreeing that the concepts are too similar to each other.

[News] T-ara, 'We want to be more than singers'

-'Being a singer alone does not satisfy us'

T-ara(Eunjung, Hyomin, Soyeon, Jiyeon, Kyuri and Boram) discuss their goal to become multi-entertainers in the entertainment business.

With hits like 'Bo Peep Bo Peep' and 'Go Crazy Because of You', they now challenge themselves to do more than singing.

Qri had her acting debut in MBC's historical drama 'Queen Seon-dook' although she played a little part. She then took part in 'Southern Trader Kim Chulsoo"

Jiyeon debuted in MBC's drama aswell, named 'Soul'. She then got another gig through KBS 2TV's 'God of Study'. She had her first movie role in the successful horror movie 'Death Bell 2', and her first variety show as a fixed cast in SBS' 'Heroes'. She will return later this month with 'Jungle Fish 2'.

Eunjung had already started her acting and modeling career before even getting in T-ara. She got her first lead role acting in SBS' drama 'Coffee House'. She will have her first movie role in 'White'.

Leader Boram has had her share aswell. Aside from acting along-side Jiyeon in 'Soul', she followed her mother's footsteps by debuting in the one-shot 'In Purple Heels, The Grim Reaper is Coming!".

Hyomin is acting in the variety field as well through the show 'Invcinible Youth'. As a member of T-ara, she's also had alot of guestings with the group, but her first role in the drama is in SBS' 'My Girlfriend Is A Nine-Tailed Fox'.

Lastly, member Soyeon, aside from appearing in varios variety and talk shows, will have her own movie debut soon aswell.

In a recent interview with T-ara, they explained us their experiences with their acting/solo projects. While promoting for the movie 'Death Bell 2', T-ara joined member Jiyeon to show their support and gather more fans and meet them. "If Death Bell 3 is done, we will be the new heroines of the movie" said in a joking manner.

-'I want to be paired up with Lee Seung-Gi'

Hyomin transformed in to an actress for the first time in 'Gumiho'. She expressed her feelings of wanting to be paired up with Lee Seung-Gi who is her co-star in the drama 'My Girlfriend is a Gumiho'.

The members joke around about Hyomin, as Soyeon says "Hyomin wants to be paired of with Lee Seung-Gi but the truth is they look more like brother and sister!" she continues "I hope Lee Seung-Gi has a deep kissing scene!!"

Jiyeon was asked, what was the hardest part participating in her latest solo project 'Jungle Fish 2'.

"I think the hardest part is playing the role of a problematic teenager. I play a teenager in her school days who is addicted to ADHD pills. The director is very meticulous with every movement and action I do."

She continues, "Im not yet of legal age, but I have to play someone who breaks the boundaries. But this gives me challenge. I want to play more challenging parts in the future"

While talking to T-ara, it seems there is this certain sparkle in their eyes when talking about being multi-entertainers. It seems there's no boundaries for this girl group.

MBC's historical drama "Dong Yi - Jewel in the Crown" held onto the lead on Monday and Tuesday nights for the fifth consecutive week, fighting for the No. 1 spot against SBS 'drama "Giant."

Figures from TNmS (Total National Multimedia Statistics) on Wednesday revealed that "Dong Yi" raked in viewership ratings of 25.7 percent on September 27 and a 2.1 percent lower mark the following night, although the figure for the week's average rose by 3.1 percent compared to week before.

Data released by AGB Nielsen Media Research reported that the historical epic, into its 56th episode, also pointed to an increase with ratings of 24.4 percent on both nights.

This week's episode focused on death of Jang Hee-bin (Lee So-yeon) and the fall of the crown prince (Yoon Chan) due to his mother's passing.

Meanwhile, TNmS 'survey reported that "Giant" brought in viewership ratings of 22.7 percent on Monday night but became the most-watched drama on Tuesday with ratings of 24.9 percent.

AGB's chart revealed that the Lee Beom-soo starrer came in second place with ratings of 22.3 percent on September 27 and 23.1 percent last night.

Following behind at No. 3 was "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" with viewership ratings in the nine to ten percent mark.

[News] Younha to hold concerts in Korea in Oct and Nov

Korean songstress Younha will be holding four concerts in Korea next month and November.

According to the official website of Lion Media, the 22-year-old singer's agency, Younha will kick off her series of concerts titled "TIME 2 ROCK" in Seoul starting with two shows in Seoul at the AX-Korea located in Gwangjang-dong on October 30 and 31.

She will then head off to the city of Daegu for her show to be held at the Grand Hall of the Chunma Arts Center on November 13 and visit Busan the following weekend for her last concert at the KBS Hall.

Younha made her debut at the young age of 16 in 2004 in Japan where she earned the nickname 'Oricon comet' after becoming the second Korean artist after BoA to break into the top 20 spots of the prestigious Oricon chart.

The singer-songwriter has dominated local music charts as well with her hit songs "Password 486," "Comet" and "Telepathy."

Men's Store online shopping mall recently tweeted a photo of a model named as "Lie" with the caption of "Following Big Bang Daesung's abs".

With Daesung's luxurious abs being a recent hot topic, 'Lie' seemed to have 'reproduced' the pose with his own version, attracting attention from the netizens.

[News] Khun expresses 12 different tastes for Baskin Robbins

2PM's Nichkhun has been chosen as the advertisement model for ice cream brand "Baskin Robbins."

He will be shown beginning October and will be expressing one new taste each month for a total of 12 months.

Nichkhun went through a variety of image changes with a cute concept for January and dandy image for February and so on. He even transformed into a sweet guy by performing an ice cream dance.

The producers went as far as to bring in a motion control camera to capture the dance, a camera that Korea only holds three of.

Associates of Baskin Robbins stated, "We figured that his gentle and caring image on MBC's 'We Got Married' fit well with the image we were going for which is why we chose him as our model."

[News] SNSD Is Rising On Japan's ORICON Chart

One can see SNSD's deep-seated popularity through Japan's ORICON chart. SNSD's single "Genie" was rank #5 on the 26th. On the 25th they were rank #9 on the chart and jumped up 4 spots.

Ever since the release of their first single, they have steadily been in the top ranks. On the 21st and 22nd they were respectively ranked #13 and #15. Their sales were declining and they had fallen out of the top 10. However, on the 23rd they improved and rose again to rank #9. In the recent drama' Haru,' each of the members were able to show us their own style.

T-shirt symbolizes relaxing, so they went to Taeyang ,Seungri and Daesung. On the other hand, G-dragon has chosen a vivid-colored scarf and a fedora hat and Top has worn a military outfit which characterizes his own image and made him even more outstanding.

KBS2's Monday/Tuesday drama [SungKyunKwan Scandal] has finally hit the double digits for the viewership ratings.

The episode of [SungKyunKwan Scandal] released on the 28th increased by 1% from the previous day's episode, to achieve nationwide ratings of 10.2% (according to AGB Nielson's media research on the 29th), which makes it the first time the drama broke through 10% since it started airing on 30 August.

[SungKyunKwan Scandal], which started airing after [My Girlfriend is a Gumiho] began airing, faced a lot of pressure as it had the same broadcasting time slot as MBC's [Dong Yi] and SBS's [Giant], only recording a rating of 6.3% for its first episode.

[News] SHINee and MBLAQ are one team

Recently, Kim Kibum (Key) from SHINee had a birthday party with his fans and fellow members Jonghyun and Minho. Key was celebrating his 20th birthday as he is a member of the 1991 line of idols. The boys talked with their fans and played a game where they had to answer questions.

The 91 line got to interact on Sukira radio before and Key showed his love for the 91 line during the Idol Athletic Championships, posing for pictures with them.

He also demonstrated how well he knows the 91 line through this question:

Q: Key doesn't have any friends?
(Everyboday answered NO and said Kibum has too many friends)
Jonghyun: Is there anyone that was born in 91 that you don't know?
Kibum: Of course, I won't know the new people~


They also asked whether Key was the 91-line group leader and Key said "We formed the 91-group after I introduced them to each other, of course it's me."

But apparently it's not just Key being close to the 91 line, but SHINee and MBLAQ being close in general, which was shown in this question and answer:

[News] Kim Heechul, release of Super Junior's group photo "Who's that beauty?"

Super Junior member Kim Heechul uploaded a group photo of the members on his twitter on the 28th.

The 10 people in the photo were all members of the group. Yesung who had been involved in the musical Spamalot since beginning of July was very busy, thus he wasn't included in the photo, and (therefore) there were only 9 members. However (,) Henry's presence resulted in 10 members at the scene of the photo taking.

Also, the unidentified women in the photo who leaned against Kyuhyun in order to support his body, is no other than the one who uploaded the photo onto the net, Kim Heechul who gave a laugh after being identified.

After seeing the photo, fans left comments such as "Who is this beauty in the middle among the members?" "This is Yesung... looked heart-warming upon (viewing) the photo" "10 members including Henry! Adorable people" etc.
