[News] SBS PD called 2AM, 2PM & SHINEE "pieces of trash"

An SBS variety show PD expressed 2PM, 2AM and SHINee as "pieces of trash"

On the 4th on his Twitter, the PD wrote, "I'm just roughly working on a special episode with 2PM, SHINee and 2AM, these pieces of trash hahaha."

The term 'pieces of trash' is used to express someone who is of lower class than you, or literally just 'pieces of trash'.

The fans who read this caused an outrage saying, "He thinks they're a joke, and he intended to diss them", "How can he say that so calmly?"

However there is also another response from fans and netizens, saying the comment is insignificant. They left comments such as, "Putting the term 'trash' aside, the fact that he is only just 'roughly' making a special episode is something SBS could potentially fire him for, do you really think he could be telling the truth? It sounds like he is just ironically showing his close friendship with them", "People need to remind themselves that he said it in his own personal space."

This incident accentuates the problem of saying just one sentence in a world where social communication has become a major factor of society, has a great potential to blow out into magnified proportions.

2PM's ex-leader Jaebum had once dissed Korea on social networking site Myspace and resulted in him to be kicked out of the country.

[News] Korean girl groups made a "Wave"

NHK will broadcast a news program at 9:00 pm [News Watch 9]. The news program will show the journey of Korean top girl groups such as Girls' Generation, KARA and 4Minute for their promotions in Japan.


August 11, KARA had debuted in Japan with "Mr". The song ranked at 5 in the Oricon daily chart, followed with SMAP, AKB48 and more with their new songs.


There were about 22,000 Japanese fans came to the concert to give their supports to their favorite groups. SNSD had debuted with "Genie" while 4Minute had debuted with "I My Me Mine". Fans were really satisfied with their performance.

[News] Only after 3 weeks, SNSD is already topping Japan Oricon DVD chart

According to the Japanese Oricon Chart on the 2nd, SNSD's DVD 'SNSD's New Beginning of Girl's Generation' topped the charts and was placed first.

This DVD was sold from 11th last month, and has only been on sale for 3 weeks.

Furthermore it is surprising that SNSD has already topped a chart without having officially debuted in Japan yet.

[Interview] Daum’s Interview With SungKyunKwan Scandal’s Main Characters

How are stars yozm (*refer to T/N below)? Daum yozm chose 30 questions from netizens to ask the main characters of 'SungKyunKwan Scandal' in an interview~
Yoochun, Joong Ki, Ah In, Min Young~ All looked so good wearing hanbok~^^

There are a lot of questions~ so the interview is a little long… but please read it till the end, okay?



Q. If you were reborn and something that only seems to occur in novels happens to you, what kind of love would you choose?? And your resolutions for the drama.

A. I believe that if two people heal each others scars and feel as though their love is one that could be called fate, then that love will come true no matter what obstacles are thrown their way.
So many people are working hard to make a great drama, and I hope it becomes a well made drama that you want to keep around for a long time and that you want to recommend to others.
That is also the dream of every actor and staff on this team.

Q. hehe While you were filming the drama, who made you think "Ah!! This person fits perfectly with his/her character!~!!!"?

A. It's amazing but we think everyone fits perfectly with their characters in this drama, so much that it makes you think that the actors are the actual characters from the novel. A lot of us find similarities in personalities and habits with our characters as we go along. I feel as though viewers will be able to feel as though the characters are really alive… which gives this drama another reason to be anticipated.

Q. What were your first impressions of each other?? >0<

A. We felt really comfortable with each other. We're all around the same age and we all don't feel shy when meeting people for the first time, so it was like meeting people in a college club.

Q. What did you do in order to fall 100% into your character?

A. The first thing I did was to try to understand Seon Joon. Because he is a character who has manners embedded in his body, I started with the small thing like waiting until my parents began eating before I began with my own meal. (Yoochun)



Q1. You also acted in Japan, so is there a difference between acting in Korean and Japan? Also, I'd like to know if you want to focus on acting or singing from now on.

A. Since acting was something I hadn't done before, everything was hard and I took cautious steps. Because I always worried about and thought over my decision to act.. But I want to do my best at anything that is given to me like I do when I perform as a singer. So as SungKyunKwan Scandal is what has been given to me, I want to focus on that for now and do my best.


Q2. What is exercising to Park Yoochun? Is it a relationship like that between water and oil?

A. It's not that I don't like exercising, it's that I'm trying to maintain a body that matches my face(?). Haha.

Q3. Yoochun oppa~ This is the first time you're acting in Korea, so do you have your own special know-how that you used as you trained for this drama?

A. I received training for pronunciation and vocalization, so I wouldn't say that it's my own know-how. I found that there's a big difference between practicing and actually standing in front of the camera. I ask a lot of questions to the director, our seniors and my fellow actors and work hard to correct any mistakes they point out. Also, when I monitor my work, I ask others if it was okay and what I can do to make it better.. This and that. I'm learning things bit by bit as I go along.

Q4. Micky Yoochun! What made you think 'Ah! Garang (*refer to T/N below)! This is his charm' as you acted as Lee Seon Joon? Also, are there any similarities between you two and is there anything you want to learn from him?

A. A persevering man who sticks to his thoughts and morals no matter what others say! Seon Joon is a kid who has always had good morals and values. I think he's a charming character you don't see often these days. One of the reasons why Seon Joon is such a rule-follower is because of his father.. I could relate to Seon Joon because he feels pressured by his surrounding environment. That pressure is something I've also felt while working. But I'm not talking about the pressure of being a star, I'm talking about feeling like I'm losing myself and becoming something different from what I had imagined. I feel as though acting is slowly lifting that pressure from my shoulders.

Q5. Yoochun oppa, you had to say "Nuge" in your Japanese drama. How do you feel after saying "Take off your clothes" in your Korean drama?

A. Ahaha. I feel embarrassed. Though it's a line I say because I think that Yoon Hee is a guy. It still made me feel embarrassed..

Sohee of Wonder Girls confessed they have better physical strength than 2AM and 2PM.

On Mnet 'Made in Wonder Girls', the Wonder Girls revealed behind stories and after stories of their concert tour in America.

During the interview, when asked "What is the most important thing to have for a concert?", Yoobin answer, "Physical strength", "Even guys think being on tour is hard for them. They take care of their bodies by eat a lot."

[News] Jay colorfully writes all over a piece of paper before leaving for America

Often times when we ask celebrities to write something in their natural handwriting, they hesitate because they're afraid of the judgment of netizens.

Park Jaebum, however, was different. As soon as I gave him a piece of paper, he grabbed a pen and began writing. Although it wasn't perfect, he wrote 'Hello!!' in Korean.

When I complimented him on his Korean skills, he waved his hands and stated, "No way, I'm not that good yet. I only learned Korean after I came to Korea. I studied really hard for it. I don't have a problem with speaking it but I'm not that good at hearing and understanding yet. Still, I try to use Korean as much as possible when I'm conversing with my parents at home."

One unique point are the various colors he used. He stated, "It's not fun to look at if you use just one color. I thought it'd be fun to use a variety instead."

After spreading out his letters all across the page, he grabbed another color and began underlining them. He seemed like a very freewheeling type of person. We wondered if this was perhaps the end, but it really was the end. He gave a bright smile and stated, "I'm done," as he handed over the piece of paper.

When I suggested that he write his name somewhere, he gave a shy laughter and asked, "Do I just make an autograph or should I just write my name?" Eventually, he wrote his name in the corner.

Unlike the colorful 'Hello!!' written above, his own name was written neatly and simply. However, the power that one name holds in this nation is quite large. Is it because he's overcame all sorts of hardships with his return? His fans have shown off a high level of loyalty, and because of that, he's received many love calls from the advertising market, recently filming for Levi's. The songs he has released, 'Count On Me' and 'I Want to Cry' have also each taken top rankings on online music charts.

Park Jaebum will be leaving for America on the 31st but can his body handle an 11 hour flight? He's been down with a cold and body ache after putting his all in rehearsing for his fan meeting.

Jaebum shook his head and stated, "Meeting my fans is the most fun for me." At that moment, I randomly thought of last September, when he left for America on an economy seat. Having won over everything now along with the fact that he's leaving for America in celebration of his fans seems like a rather unique feeling to him.

He smiled while adding, "I've got business class seats now."

Star Interview: Jaebum's return

-> He wants to work with Shin Mina

Jaebum plays the role of Darkness in a b-boy movie titled 'Hype Nation.' "When I first received the offer, I wasn't going to do it. However, I decided to do it because I could be together with AOM. Fortunately, it was a movie about b-boying so there wasn't any particular hardships about it. Just that there were a couple parts that required my acting skills and even I could see that I looked awkward."

Although it was a hard decision, 'Hype Nation' holds a lot more meaning to him now. As a part of the Sidus HQ family, will Park Jaebum be changing career paths as an actor?

"No. Because I can't act, I'm going to put more focus on my career as a singer. Now, for example, I'm focusing about 90% into my singing and 10% into acting. I am, however, still interested in acting. I'd like to try comedies, I think it'd be a lot easier and fun."

Then does he have a female actress he'd like to work with?

"Other than company events, I've never met any of the actors. But if I had to choose, I'd like to try acting with Shin Mina. There's something that's hard to explain about her smile, it's cute at the same time.

After spending 9 months of hardships, he returned to Korea. "I loved my return. I was able to meet my fans again and show them a lot of good sides of me."

Is there anything he wanted to eat in particular? "I craved samkyeopsal. I love meat in general but I couldn't forget the taste of wrapping it with grilled garlic. I ate a lot of it after I returned."

It's a rather surprising answer. One of Jaebum's trademarks are his distinctive chocolate abs. The nickname of 'Jjit-Jaebum' has followed him since his days as a 2PM member, but how is it that he enjoys the infamous high calorie samkyeopsal? Usually, people with such nice bodies enjoy meals consisting of chicken breasts and whatnot. Park Jaebum answered, "I just don't gain weight as easily so there's nothing I'm picky about. I just try not to eat late at night."

Does this mean that he's born with it? (TN: MAYBE IT'S MAYBELLINE) Jaebum seemed like he was in despair at the conclusion but quickly answered, "To make abs, exercising is the most important. I used to concentrate on exercising my abs for one to two hours a day because abs disappear quickly if you don't exercise them. It's gotten a lot harder now so I've cut it down to an hour."

At the interview, Jaebum appeared looking rather skinny. He also had a severe cold, making him pause to blow his nose or cough.

"People at the fan meeting probably saw but it was crazy. I lost about 3kg while preparing for my prformances. I guess it was too much, I eventually caught a cold." Still, he claims that he's happy being able to meet his Korean fans after such a long while. "Honestly, even while in America, I received about 40,000 letters and met with my fans through uploading internet videos so I didn't feel any distance between us. I'm just thankful that I'm able to meet them again."

As I watched him excitedly express his thoughts, I suddenly thought of 2 words: color coordination. Even on the day of the interview, he was wearing a black wife beater, black jeans, and even black shoes. When I mentioned his color coordination, he answered with a bright smile, "I think it's prettier to match colors."

I brought up his fans thinking he matches the color pink the best, in which Jaebum jokingly replied, "That's why I only wear pink underwear." This is probably the reason he's so loved by his fans. Even when he picks his underwear, he thinks of them.

As the interview came to a close, I asked him, "Do you ever think of returning to 2PM?"

He seemed closed in thought for a moment before he answered, "It was a good time for me. Although there were bad things that happened, being able to debut with that group was an honor and something memorable. It was a bitter experience but I'd like for all of us to do well."

When finally asked what his future plans were, he replied, "Whatever opportunities come my way, I'm just going to go with the flow. I think all I need to do is enjoy what I'm doing and work hard."

His answer was the 23 year old Park Jaebum of 'today.'

Today at the 2010 Incheon Korean Music Wave, BoA performed a very special version of her title track, Hurricane Venus. Instead of the usual one, she showcased her dance break version. Honestly, I thought her normal version of Hurricane Venus was hard-out already but wow, after seeing this version, we can all see how astonishing BoA can be.

I'm sure everyone would agree if I said SE7EN truly has his own style right? The song is very techno and suits the Matrix theme

[Video] Super Junior says No Other like Bonamana on

For a very special performance today, Super Junior returned to perform two songs, one from their 4th album and one from their repackaged album.

After ending their promotions on music shows for Bonamana and No Other, they began their journey for their concerts at a range of venues, so far in Seoul and Qingdao, China.

It feels great to see the boys back but the funny thing is if you compare their songs Bonamana and No Other, don't you think one is too sweet whilst the other is kinda more manly? Nonetheless, the boys of Super Junior heated up the stage with their powerful stage presence.

After finishing his promotions for his mellow single, I Need A Girl, Taeyang decided to end his search for a girl and instead 'be there' for his girl. Taeyang performed his follow up track 'I'll Be There' on today's Incheon Korean Music Wave. In comparison to his smooth single, I Need A Girl, I'll Be There is the type to hype up the crowd.

Along with his hip choreography, energy and charisma can be seen flowing throughout the performance. The music video for this follow up track has already surpassed the one million mark which just shows how popular Taeyang and his song are.

The boys of 2PM are back today after a long break from music shows and with their previous comeback track, 'Without U', they have really proved to us that they're okay without us.

Without U is another hit song by 2PM after their popular track 'Heartbeat.' Heartbeat was a song made popular with it's lyrics and unforgettable dance moves. Their song Without U was able to show us their masculine sides.

Along with their song Without U, 2PM also performed 'I Was Crazy About You.' And I almost forgot to mention, Happy 2 years anniversary to the boys of 2PM!

Along with other Korean girl groups, the girls of KARA have also been busy with activities in Korea's neighbouring country, Japan. KARA have also been receieving positive feedback from the Japanese fans and citizens alike as they proved their popularity through various Japanese shows and music charts.

Instead of their usual version of Lupin, KARA performed a dance break version of their hit single. Fans in the audience must have enjoyed it a lot as you can hear the loud roars and cheering! It's great to see the girls of KARA performing once again.

Since the release of their album earlier this year, the girls of SNSD who are also known as Girl's Generation have been garnering much attention due to their new concepts and songs. These days, they have been busy with their debut in Japan and as a result so far, they seem to be going well as they have receieved positive reactions from fans.

Today, they performed their song Oh! at the 2010 Incheon Korean Music Wave at the World Cup Stadium. We were able to reminesce the past as we got to see the cutesy version of SNSD once again!
