4minute's HyunA, Kara's Gu Hara, actresses Ku Hye-sun, Seo Woo, Ko Ah-seong and Lee Se-yeong have been accepted on early admission to college for the spring semester of 2011.

According to HyunA's agency on Thursday, the girl group member will major in film under the division of art at Konkuk University's College of Art & Design next year.

An official from Seo Woo's agency confirmed yesterday that she will be joining HyunA at Konkuk University's College of Art & Design, adding that the actress has shown great interest in entering college to learn more about acting.

Gu Hara and actress Lee Se-yeong will become colleagues with both girls having been accepted to the department of media communication at Sungshin Women's University.

Korean actresses Ku Hye-sun and Ko Ah-seong will both become freshmen at Sungkyunkwan University, majoring in film at the school of art and studying sociology at the school of social sciences, respectively.

[News] JYJ unveils music video for “Ayyy Girl”

The music video for boy band JYJ's song "Ayyy Girl" was released on their official website yesterday.

The song, from the group's first global album "The Beginning" released in mid-October, was produced by 14-time Grammy Award-winning rapper Kanye West and is being promoted at the same time as Rodney 'Darkchild' Jenkins-produced "Empty," both as title tracks for the boys' new release.

In the video posted on www.jyj3.com, members Jaejoong, Yuchun and Junsu turn into dynamic yet dreamy and classic fantasy characters who give up becoming gods in order the save the woman they love.

The group's publicist Prain Inc. explained that the video was filmed in 3D format using ultra-speed cameras which shoot 500 frames per second.

An official related to the music video was quoted as saying, "JYJ was worried because it was their first time shooting an entire video in front the blue screen but they led the atmosphere on set professionally."

Prain added that photographs from the set and behind-the-scenes footage will be released on JYJ's website at later dates.

Meanwhile, the trio is currently on tour for a series of showcases which kicked off in Korea on the day of their album's release and was then held in Taiwan last weekend.

They will perform in China's major city of Shanghai next, on November 7, and head to the U.S. for shows in Hawaii, New York, Las Vegas and Los Angeles set to take place throughout mid-November.

On November 27 and 28, they will hold a concert under the name "JYJ Worldwide Concert in Seoul" at the Main Olympic Stadium in Jamsil of Seoul which has seen its tickets sell out in the first two rounds of sales.

Another round of tickets will go on sale on online reservation site Interpark starting 8 p.m. on November 4.

Jaejoong, Yuchun and Junsu made their debut in 2004 as a part of the popular boy band TVXQ, but despite their phenomenal success in Asia, they ceased their activities as a five-member group after becoming involved in a legal dispute with agency SM Entertainment last year.

2NE1's exceptional transformation for their follow-up title song, "It Hurts" music video, has already caused it to reach over one million hits only two days after it has been released.

"It Hurts" music video was made public during November 1, on 2NE1's YouTube channel, where it was reported to reach 1.4 million views already.

The music video showcases the longing and desire for an unrequited love, featuring 2NE1 member, Sandara Park in the lead role. In the music video, Sandara Park releases her sad tears, longing for her lover, Big Bang G-Dragon's long-time friend and actor-model, Lee Soo Hyuk. Because of it's dark, fantasy-like concept, 2NE1's successful attempt at a stunning transformation, garnered a lot of attention.

In fact, the interest in the video was so much that it exceeded over one million hits, proving an explosive reaction. And especially because "It Hurts" broadcasts sad lyrics and a great melody appropriate to the season, it has become more and more popular.

"It Hurts" is an R & B song in 2NE1's full album. It has been rising steadily in the charts since it was announced to be the follow-up song for promotions.

On the first of November, 2NE1 released their music video for their follow-up song, "It Hurts," whose lyrics speak of the pains of love. U-Kiss's Dongho has been absent from the scene these days, and it's mainly because he has been working hard as an actor.

Dongho is starring in the upcoming movie, "Villain & Widow (Villain on the Second Floor)". This is his first acting role, and in it, he plays a good-looking middle school student.

The movie is about a woman (played by Kim Hye Soo) and her daughter, Jiwoo, who lives in a house with an empty second floor. A man with many secrets (played by Han Suk Gyu) moves into the house and the story captures what happens afterwards.

Dongho plays a boy that Jiwoo is crushing on. It's been said that Kim Hye Soo thought Dongho would fit the character well.

Dongho said, "I'm really nervous since it's my first time acting. It's an honor to be working with sunbaes I look up to. I want to become a great actor later on and act with them again."

The movie premieres on November 25th.

KBS 2TV's 'Dream High' which will first air in January of next year will feature an army of JYP Entertainment's stars.

2PM's Taecyeon and Wooyoung are participating of course and miss A's Suzy has also been casted. This is Suzy and Wooyoung's first acting challenge so it has been capturing the attention of fans.

On the 3rd a production representative for the drama stated "Wooyoung's appearance has been confirmed" and "The contract for Suzy hasn't been signed yet but her appearance has been completely decided. We are planning to finish casting this week and start filming right away."

Wooyoung will be Kevin, a dancer from overseas, and will challenge the pride of the Korean students. It will be a role that shows off dance skills that are above the level of others and will have to assimilate different performances well.

Suzy will play Hyemi who is an arts high school student studying vocal music who has strong pride and thinks of her self as 'the 2nd Jo Soomi'. Hyemi will be receiving all the love of Taecyeon's character Jingook.

'Dream High' which is receiving lots of attention for being co-produced by JYP Entertainment and Bae Yongjoon's Key East is a drama that will portray the concept of students who come together at Girin Arts High School and take footsteps to become world stars by taking endless challenges.

JYP Entertainment's family concert will be on December 24th, 7:30 PM at the Seoul Songpa Olympic Stadium.

It has been confirmed that 2PM, the Wonder Girls, miss A and San E will be performing but 2AM will not be in attendance!

They have a good reason for it though! 2AM will be holding their first solo concert from December 24-26th at Korea University's Hwajeong Gym in Seoul so they will be unable to make it.

YG Entertainment will also be holding their family concert in December and SM Town held their family tour over the summer.

[News] Uee's Drama Finally Going to Air?

Finally, news of Group 8′s golf drama Birdie Buddy, which has been given a tentative airdate of March 2011, according to one representative from the production company on November 2.

And it's about time! It's not that I've been looking forward to this show — I haven't ( but I have!!!!)— but it did seem to languish for an awfully long time in production limbo, with no apparent progress. In fact, one cast member left the production early on (Lee Mi-sook) because she'd signed on to another drama, Cinderella's Sister — which has already aired and been done for months now.

Birdie Buddy was initially planning to premiere in June, but obviously that didn't happen. Perhaps Group 8 was more fixated on putting all its eggs into its Playful Kiss basket, which seemed to get the lion's share of the promotional budget. All that had been mentioned of Birdie Buddy was that it was continuing to film despite its lack of a timeslot.

It sounds like a bit of spin to frame this additional delay as a seasonal consideration, but I suppose it could be true; apparently it's a detractor to air a golf series in winter, and therefore they're pushing it off till spring. According to that same Group 8 rep, the drama will complete filming in late November or early December, making it a 100% pre-produced drama, albeit not by design. (Unfortunately, those pre-produced shows haven't had a great track record. Some recent examples: Road No. 1, Friend Our Legend, Terroir.)

Not to be a total downer: Birdie Buddy has managed to attract enough interest to sell to seven foreign countries already. That's a bit surprising, since there are no big "Hallyu"-level names in the cast and the subject matter isn't very high-concept, but it's a good thing for the production. Plus, it IS Group 8, who is big on the export angle.

Birdie Buddy attracted some early buzz for starring pop idol UEE; it's her first leading role after she'd made her drama debut playing a bitchy antagonist in last year's bubbly hit comedy You're Beautiful. It also stars Style's Lee Yong-woo, Legend's Lee Da-hee, Gloria's Oh Hyun-kyung, and child actress Jin Ji-hee (High Kick Through the Roof).

Representitive of Cube entertainment have said "HyunA has been accepted into GunGook university (An arts and cultural university)".

Out of 46 people who applied, they only took 3. HyunA was one of them. Lee Ja Yeon, a trot singer and Seo Woo, an actor, also was accepted.

[Note: The Son Byungho game is explained later in the article.]

On November 2nd, SNSD held a press meeting with reporters at the Apgujung Everysing store. During this time, they talked about their successful entry into Japan and their sudden comeback into the Korean entertainment.

SNSD's schedule must be extremely packed with foriegn activities, but they are continuing with activities in Korea as well with their "Hoot" comeback. Because of this, concerns of their health are rising amongst fans.

About this issue, Sunny said, "We like to refresh ourselves during our breaks rather than just resting. We like going places with each other or performing special stages. Even when we go to film something, if we have fun at the shooting, then we come back energized and recharged because of that. Even recently while we're going back and forth from Japan, the members play games every night at our dorm. If we enjoy our time like that, we are overflowing with energy."

Sunny also said, "We're really into the 'Son Byungho game' recently. We say things like, "Whoever likes sweet potatoes, fold a finger" or "fold a finger if you're married"".

The game was coined the "Son Byungho game" when the actor Son Byungho introduced the game on an episode of KBS2 TV's "Happy Together". The players in the game go around one at a time to say a statement. If that statement does not apply, the player has to "fold" a finger."
[Note: So for example, everybody holds out five fingers. If it's Sunny's turn, and she says "I like apples," all the members who don't like apples have to 'fold' a finger so they only have four fingers left.]

Tiffany added, "Whenever we hear that somebody is concerned for us, we are consoled and strengthened," relaying a thankful heart to the fans.

SNSD, who has made a comeback with "Hoot", will be going back and forth from Korea and Japan to rotate in activities.
