Kim Jae-wook looking mighty fine for Mary Posted: 04 Nov 2010 05:00 AM PDT Finally! Somebody looking like a man in this drama! I was beginning to worry. In all of the promotional material up until now, everybody in upcoming drama Mary Stayed Out All Night looked like a pretty girl. Everyone. Imagine my pleasant surprise when I stumbled upon stills of Kim Jae-wook (Bad Guy, Coffee Prince) looking dapper, handsome, and best of all, not at all like a girl. What with leads Jang Geun-seok and Moon Geun-young sporting the exact same bohemian-girl look, I was preparing myself for the worst. Don’t get me wrong. I love Jang Geun-seok, but he makes a prettier girl than…most girls. Then when Kim Jae-wook appeared in the posters wearing some weird bastard child of shorts and leggings, I sighed a big sigh. “We’re done for,” I said to jb. “How can I get into a drama where they dress beautiful boys like this?” Well the drama gods may have heard my woes, because now there’s photographic evidence. I’m back on the bandwagon, people. Let’s go, BUS! Via Mk.co.kr RELATED POSTS

Sungkyunkwan Scandal: Episode 17 Posted: 03 Nov 2010 08:11 PM PDT Hey, girlfriday here, back for another hit of Joseon Crack. What can I say? You take a free sample, and next thing you know, you’re pawning your mom’s tv for another hit. In this episode, the mystery and political intrigue takes center stage, as the past comes back to start ripping our foursome apart. Love is in the air, but so is death and darkness, and it looks like the final battle is going to be: Noron and Soron, power and truth, and head vs. heart. Park Shin-hye to star in Taiwanese drama Posted: 03 Nov 2010 04:19 PM PDT Park Shin-hye (You’re Beautiful, Cyrano Dating Agency) has been busy crossing borders for her latest drama project, a Taiwanese drama adaptation of Japanese manga series Hayate the Combat Butler. Just what exactly is a combat butler? I don’t know, but I can imagine that it’d be handy to have one around. And really, what kind of butler would you be if you weren’t combat-ready? Taiwanese idol star George Hu (pictured below) will be playing said combat butler, a young man saddled with so much family debt that he has to start taking odd jobs just to make ends meet. Park will play a chaebol, one who is particularly in danger all the time from thugs who want to kidnap and ransom her for her family’s fortune. She hires him as a butler, but I guess circumstances make it so that he really ends up being more like a bodyguard than a butler. Kim Seung-woo cameos for his wife’s Queen of Reversals Posted: 03 Nov 2010 10:26 AM PDT Kim Seung-woo (IRIS) drops by for a cameo in the next episode of his wife’s drama, Queen of Reversals. Aw, what a good hubby. The drama stars his wife Kim Nam-joo and his friend Jung Jun-ho (also of IRIS) as a married couple, so it’s especially good-natured of him to take the time to support them, and a great source of in-jokes for the cast. He did the same for her in last year’s hit drama, Queen of Housewives, and has now earned himself the nickname “King of Helpful Husbands,” to mean the kind of husband who helps with housework if the wife is busy working. Gah, I didn’t think I could love him any more, but there he goes! (...) © girlfriday for Dramabeans, 2010. | Permalink | 23 comments | Add to del.icio.us |
