Jeon Hye-bin is out for revenge in cable sageuk Posted: 29 Nov 2010 05:18 AM PST What a gorgeous poster. It features actress Jeon Hye-bin (also previously known as simply Bin, from her pop-singer days) as the lead in a new cable drama, the action sageuk called Yacha or Demon [야차]. Jeon’s acted in a few sageuk dramas before — King and I, where she was a villainous character, and Hometown of Legends, where she portrayed a gumiho — but this will be her first lead role in one. In it, her character finds herself on the receiving end of two men’s affections, played by Jo Dong-hyuk (Penthouse Elephant) and Seo Do-young (Friend, Our Legend). Cha Tae-hyun carries a heavy load in Hello Ghost Posted: 28 Nov 2010 04:00 PM PST Ouuuch. I know there’s movie magic involved and that the three adults clinging to Cha Tae-hyun‘s back are probably aided by an additional tool of some sort, but that can’t be easy. But I suspect that Cha’s character in the upcoming comedy Hello Ghost finds the mental burden a lot heavier than the physical one — he gets stuck with four ghosts and has to find a way to get rid of them. The premise is this: Cha Tae-hyun has failed to commit suicide several times, and although he is revived from the latest attempt, he dies for a few seconds. He wakes up in the hospital, bummed at his failure, accompanied by a strange man… whom nobody else can see. Somehow he gains three more hangers-on, and he has to deal with their quirky personalities while trying to get rid of them. There’s the pervy grandpa, the weepy woman, the obnoxious meddler, and the kid with an outrageous appetite. But the kicker? The ghosts can somehow control his body — or maybe it’s the fault of some cosmic connection. But if a ghost smokes, he smokes. The ghost eats, he eats. And so on. Consulting with a shaman leads him to the conclusion that they need him to do something for him, and he is advised to go along with all their whims. Candid photos from the set of My Princess Posted: 28 Nov 2010 10:53 AM PST It’s not much, but we have our first look at the leads of My Princess — Kim Tae-hee and Song Seung-heon — on the set of the upcoming MBC drama. These shots were taken by fans at a Seoul department store shoot, and uploaded to the website of a tourist company catering to Japanese travelers in Korea. Oh, those Japanese ladies must have been ecstatic to see Song Seung-heon in the flesh; though hardly anyone can compare to Yonsama’s pull in Japan, Song has a pretty solid fanbase there thanks to dramas like Autumn Love Story, Summer Scent, and East of Eden. Not to mention his Ghost remake with Japanese actress Matsushima Nanako. (...) © javabeans for Dramabeans, 2010. | Permalink | 39 comments | Add to del.icio.us |
