[News] SuJu, 7 members out of 13 are involved in dramas... perceived as "actor-dols"

Super Junior has appeared as "Super Actor-dols*". Following "Sorry Sorry", "Miinah" and other songs which aren't only receiving huge popularity in the country but also across Asia, and after producing a collection of big hits, Super Junior's members Leeteuk, Eunhyuk and others are receiving attention as the next generation's MCs in variety programs; (in addition) Shindong, Donghae, and Sungmin are also simultaneously involved in dramas, making a strong presence as "Super Actordols". It could be seen that among 13 members, there are seven of them who are building their careers in the drama scene. Shindong takes on the role of the Judo athlete Kang Wooram on SBS's "Doctor Champ", and has received a lot of attention from the viewers. Being a judo athlete during his elementary school days, he has shown his natural side in the drama, and is responsible for creating laughter in the show. Donghae begins his acting career in SBS's "It's Okay, Daddy's Girl". Playing the role of the honest and sincere Choi Wook-gi, has displayed commendable acting skills recently at his first recording, and was well-received by the staff. Donghae has added colours to the typical sincere character, and produced a distinctly different character. He is expected to show a splendid idol member's image and display a completely different side of him. In the KBS drama "President", Sungmin will be playing the role of the trouble-making graduate student Jang Sungmin, the son of Choi Soojong and Ha Heera in the drama. He wishes to try his hand in politics himself, and although he has the intention to help his father out in the election process, but got into trouble instead when he used the wrong methods. There is high anticipation with regards to how he would act out the role of the president's ambitious son. It can be seen that the Super Junior members have accumulated a lot of experiences in the drama field. Before this, Choi Siwon has received high acclaim for playing the lead role of the SBS drama "Oh! My Lady", which would be followed by his casting in SBS's "Athena" as a new agent (of NSS), thus attracting attention as a rising young actor. Aside from that, Kim Heechul has also received attention for his role in SBS's "Golden Bride**" among others. Kangin has played the role of a couple manager in MBC Dramanet's "Romance Zero***", and Kibum collected his popularity earlier through the KBS youth drama "Banolim". With the addition of three members who will be building their experiences in the drama field, Super Junior has now 7 members out of 13 who have a drama-acting career. One of the officials from their agency SM Entertainment said that "From the beginning, Super Junior debuted with the aim of not only singing songs, but also being involved in variety shows and the acting field" and that "since it's their 5th anniversary since debut this year, it is a perfect occasion to take hold of a clear position, and receive more 'love calls' in various fields". * Actor-dols are a combination of the words 'actor' and 'idol'. Meaning they're idol actors.
** Golden Bride (황금신부/Hwang Geum Shin Bu) is a 64-episode drama which was aired between June 2007 and February 2008.
*** Romance Zero (하자 전담반 제로/Haja Jeondamban Zero) is a 16-episode drama that was aired between February - May 2009. The phrase 'couple manager' basically means matchmaker. Source: OSEN

In these photos, it has been a topic on which member looks the best and prevails in beauty in their passport photo's and who stands out the most.

[news] SNSD achieves 2nd consecutive Gold with 2nd single after 3 weeks in release

SNSD has achieved 2 Gold consecutively according to Oricon Singles chart in Japan surpassing 100,000 album sales.

On the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart released on the 9th of November, they showed that SNSD's 2nd Japanese Single "Gee" has had over 13,320 record sales and after three weeks of it's release it has a total sales of 102,881. This is their 2nd gold after they surpassed 100,000 mark with their 1st Japanese single "Genie".

After their popular single "Genie" their 2nd single "Gee" is gaining more popularity faster than their 1st single, "Genie" had over 100,000 sales after 8 weeks when it was released while "Gee" only took 3 weeks to surpass 100,000 sales mark making a huge break through in the Japanese Industry.

Meanwhile, SNSD is promoting their new album in South Korea with "Hoot" which is sweeping various music charts.

Solo singer Chae Yeon who has been garnering a lot of popularity for her second mini album "Look at me" has recently made a shocking confession.

On the latest episode of MBC "Love Chaser" with Super Junior's Leeteuk and Yesung, she confessed that she wants to be a member of SNSD because of how SNSD are popular among the guys.

Chae Yeon was asked, "If you could be part of a girl group, which would you choose?" in which she answered "I want to join SNSD, they are popular among men and they are so popular that male fans worship them also I consider Taeyeon as my rival because as a solo artist, she is the only female performer that I can compare myself to." she said honestly.

Miss A maknae member Suzy's past is garnering a lot of interest and is being called a "Cinderella Story".

Suzy's family owns a small eatery in Gwangju. Suzy's family is only small and simple consisting of her mother, father and 2 other sisters. Even if Suzy was just from a small family, she was popular in their town because of her good looks and talent, thus her story of her fame becomes a popular Cinderella story among fans.

She was born in 1994 and has 2 other sisters, her parents own a small eatery and she has been staying home and school receiving no special lessons while she was very young. But despite being from a small family, she has been popular around Usandong in Gwangju because of her good looks and impressive dancing skills. She was not a stranger around their place, and not long she became an interest in Mnet's "Superstar K" where she auditioned.



Han Su Jeong from JYP Entertainment who was in charge of publicity and promotions said, "We send managers to look for potential trainees, and we go as far as Gwangju to look for talents. When Suzy auditioned for Superstar K, the manager saw her and told her that she had potential to be a trainee while she was on her way to the bathroom." Su Jeong then further said, "We did not realize at that time that she was a part of a family that owned a small eatery. She had a bright personality and even if her family was not rich it can be seen that she has been greatly loved by her parents while she grew."

Meanwhile, Suzy's "Cinderella Story" is being said to be similar to Lee Hyori's past, Lee Hyori in her earlier days with FIN K.L. was known to be the "barbers daughter". She was raised very well despite being not well off, and she was able to achieve her dream like a story from a movie.



Suzy is part of Miss A who are steadily gaining much popularity for their debut track "Bad Girl Good Girl" and their latest track "Breathe". A lot are pointing a lot of similarities to her and Lee Hyori especially their image and feminine charm also being popular among male fans.

Her agency said, "Suzy's parents actively supported her, she is very close to her parents and always prioritizes them and her family. She said that her success is her special gift to her parents and she will work hard for her parents."

MBLAQ's Lee Joon is first place for 'Next Generation Acting Idol'.
Music portal site Monkey3 conducted a poll for a week from October 28 to Novemeber 3 with a total of 861 votes. MBLAQ's Lee Joon was chosen first place.
Lee Joon who is currently participating in KBS teen drama 'Jungle Fish 2′ received a total of 432 votes (50%). In the drama, he plays a passionate and pure-hearted boy Ahn Bawoo, attempt the conventional acting challenge. Response for the reason Lee Joon was picked included, "His natural and stable acting stands out unlike an amateur".
Jokwon scored the second place (21%, 177 votes) for his MBC sitcom 'All My Love'. Third place goes to Big Bang's Daesung (10%, 82 votes), who starred in a musical and campus drama 'What's Up'. Fourth place is After School's UEE (9%, 76 votes) who appeared in golf drama 'Buddy Buddy'.
MBC sitcom 'All My Love' BEAST's Yoon Doojoon (8%, 70 votes) and SBS drama 'Smile Mom' Davichi's Kang Min Kyung (3%, 24 votes) received fifth and sixth place respectively.

[News] Beast debuts in Japan with superstar treatment

Beast will have their debut concert in Japan on the 27th November 2010 at the 'Tokyo Big Sight' (Tokyo International Exhibition Center) with a capacity of 10,000 and for a rookie group, this is an impressive and amazing accomplishment.

Beast will 'arrive from the sky', as they will travel to the venue by helicopter, a travel arrangement only limited to top musicians such as Michael Jackson and is extremely rare for non-domestic artists. The 10,000 fans gathered will welcome Beast by forming the group's name using human characters.

Prior to the concert, on the 24th November 2010, Beast will release a premium package in Japan and will have a meet and greet with their Japanese fans.

Beast's debut in Japan has stirred tremendous interest amongst the local media, one local media expressed how surprised they were by Beast's popularity and large scale debut in Japan, he compared Beast to established artists like Dong Bang Shin Gi (TVXQ) and Big Bang and for a new group to accomplish such features is outstanding.

In the meantime the groups 1st Korean concert will be held on the December 12th 2010 - which is already Sold Out!

The 4th mini album entitled "Lights Go On Again" is scheduled for release in Korea on 9th November. The first single is entitled "Beautiful".

SNSD's new starcard collection is printed in smaller size , so this starcard collection is called by "Mini Photo Collection".
1st Collection of SNSD Starcard was released on Last December, and around 100.000 packs were sold in the first week. 2nd Collection of SNSD Starcard was revealed on Last June during The World Cup season. the girls were wearing all Red clothes to support the National team. this 2nd Starcard Collection was sold around 500.000 packs on the first week.

SHINee's Minho to star in drama "Pianist"

SHINee's Minho has been confirmed to star in KBS Drama Special, titled "Pianist". The drama will air on November 20th (unconfirmed) at 11:15PM. The drama will be only one episode, as it is a drama 'special' for KBS.

The drama is about an elementary school music teacher, who was once a promising piano student. She was forced to give up her dream due to domestic circumstances. She meets "Oh Jero", a boy without any dreams, who has never had a chance to learn how to play the piano. He has had an unhappy childhood and works as a tuner in a piano factory. The drama tells the story of two people getting healed by sharing each others lost dreams, hopes, sufferings and their common love, the piano.

It is assumed that Minho will play the part of the boy, "Oh Jero".

As some of you have known about Brown Eyed Girls Concert 2010 will take place in December. I've known about this information since Nov 3rd. But since there are many infos made me hesitate to announce this.

1. Narsha schedule: Invincible youth + Heroes + Volume up Radio
2. GaIn schedule: We got married + All my love Sitcom
3. BEG is preparing for their comeback with 4th album
4. There was a concert supposed to take place on Nov.6th but got cancelled.

With that tight schedule, you can see i'm confused about the info of concert. But looks like their concert is confirmed now. Let's hope it wont be cancelled again.
