[NEWS] First time in History! 2PM Monopolize the Arrival Movie top 5

2PM, who have made a sweeping conquest of the Arrival Movie Chart (pictured above).
Korea's top male group will soon be landing in Japan.


First time in History! 2PM Monopolize the Arrival Movie top 5

It was discovered on the 18th that the Arrival Movies (Arrival Songs with video clip attached) of 2PM, the six-membered, male, Korean group who will be debuting in Japan on the 24th, monopolized the spots 1 through 5 on the 11/17 chart (RecoChoku search).

It is the first time that a pre-debut artist monopolizes the top 5 spots with a mobile phone transmission. The five songs, "Without U" "Heartbeat" and such, have music videos which are compiled in their Japan Debut DVD "Hottest ~2PM 1st Music Video Collection & History" which goes on sale on the 24th. The mobile phone transmissions started on the 17th and luckily for the people who downloaded, there is a special offer of a screen saver.

The average height of these good-looking, manly members is approximately 1.81 meters. With melancholy-tinged melodies tinged and intense dances that make free use of their sturdy, well trained bodies as their key features, they hold the nickname of "Beast Idols." Their debut event, which will be held in Tokyo's Ryokokugikan on December 8, has been attracting attention.

[NEWS] 2PM takes over mobile music chart in Japan

2PM has dominated a mobile music chart in Japan, securing all top five slots on the chart with their songs.

JYP Entertainment announced in a press release Friday that 2PM's hit songs "Without U," "Heartbeat," "Again & Again," "My Life 4 U" and "10 Out of 10," which were released as ringtones on Wednesday, have placed on the top five spots on Japan's Recochuku's mobile music chart.

"The members of 2PM and the people at JYP Entertainment are surprised that fans in Japan have shown great interest in the group even before holding their official showcase in the country," an official from JYPE was quoted as saying.


They are now preparing for their official debut into the Japanese music market with their DVD "Hottest" which will go on sale on November 24 and their showcase "2PM 1ST CONTACT IN JAPAN" on December 8 at The Kokugikan, a venue famous for holding sumo and martial arts tournaments

2ne1's maknae Minji updated her me2day and posted a 4 photo's, each photo from the members of 2ne1 including herself. She said on twitter, "You very well know I like taking pictures right? Anyways, I secretly took these pictures of the other members! Bom is sleeping in the car, Sandara is looking fresh in the waiting room, CL at a birthday party and a picture of myself!"

[news] SNSD tiffany and Co-ed Hyo Young absent on Music Bank due to injuries

On the 19th of November episode of KBS "Music Bank" SNSD member Tiffany and Co-ed member Hyo Young were absent from their group's respective performances on the show.

Last 14th of November, Tiffany fell on stage when they were performing Hoot and she was sent to the hospital on the 15th and was diagnosed with "posterior cruciate ligament injury" and she had to recover for 4 weeks in order for her injury to heal properly.

Also on the 14th, Hyo Young fell from the stairs while they were practicing and broke her ankle, Hyo Young had a 4 hour surgery and has to rest for 8 weeks in order for her ankle to be in perfect condition.

Both SNSD and Co-ed performed on the show without the members.

MC's Seo Hyo Rim and Song Joong Ki had their last broadcast as MC's on KBS "Music Bank" on the 19th of November.

The two started to MC last August 2009 and they have been the MC's for the show for 1 year and 3 months, for their sudden farewell today, they gave their thank you's and tears goodbye.

SNSD won and was ranked 1st in the K-Chart for the 3rd week in a row and Seo Hyo Rim couldn't help but cry when they said their goodbye at the end of the show.

Seo Hyo Rim said, "We were inexperienced and new to being MC's at the beginning and we had a lot of progress as time passed by. Thank you for all your support to us. It seem's that this phase has ended" She said, Song Joong Ki tried to laugh but also did not help it by shed tears as well. Despite being emotional in their farewell, the managed to smile until the end.

Starting the 26th of November Episode of Music Bank new MC's Hyun Woo and Kim Min Ji will replace them.

Remember the song Magic Girl? Magic Girl's dance was a huge hit, many idols covered the Magic Girl dance  on variety shows. However, do you remember the girls who sang and danced it?

They are none other than the girls of Orange Caramel! Orange Caramel is a girl group trio that consists of After School members Nana, Lizzy and Raina. They were a huge hit when they debuted with their first mini album not long ago, and now they're back with another cute and cheerful mini album!

4-member group F.Cuz has finally returned to the Korean Pop Industry. This time, they're back with not only a new album, but with a new concept and image! The concept this time is definitely different from when they debuted with 'Jiggy', which was both colourful and cheerful.

On today's episode of Music Bank, F.Cuz perform their new title song 'Midnight Sun' as well as another song titled 'Friends Graduation'.  The Music Video for 'Midnight Sun' was released this Wednesday. If you haven't seen it yet, be sure to check it out soon!

[News] Infinite Challenge donation drive is a hit

The MBC variety show "Infinite Challenge" has successfully completed yet another project to help the needy.

The cast and crew delivered a 113.7 million won ($99,000) donation to the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation in an event held at the MBC Dream Center, a satellite studio in Goyang, Gyeonggi, on Nov. 11.

The donation represents a portion of the profit from the sales of a calendar they created for 2010.

Since 2008, the cast and crew of the program has made a calendar every year and donates the proceeds to charity.

This year's profits are estimated to be approximately 300 million won, according to news sources.

The money given to Green Umbrella, which provides services and support for underprivileged children, will be used to aid children suffering from diseases such as cancer.

Meanwhile, the 2011 calendar will go on sale tomorrow at 10 a.m. on the program's Web site.

[News] Movie version of TV series "IRIS" to be released next week

The movie version of Korean blockbuster TV series "IRIS" will be released next week.

A press release from the show's producer Taewon Entertainment announced Friday that "IRIS: THE MOVIE" will be available for download through contents distribution company cine21i on November 22.

"IRIS: THE MOVIE," reconstituted from the 20-part drama, will feature the truth about the death of character Hyun-jun (played by actor Lee Byung-hun) as well as new scenes.

Drama "IRIS," which aired in Korea on major broadcasting company KBS from October 2009 to December 2009, starred several of the biggest names in the entertainment industry including Kim Tae-hee, Jung Joon-ho, Kim So-yeon and Big Bang member T.O.P.

The action-packed espionage series dominated the primetime lineup during its run, scoring viewership ratings of nearly 40 percent.

The movie will be available through IPTV (Internet Protocol Television), cable networks including PPV and 100 online websites next week.

Co-Ed School doesn't just stop after ending their promotions with 'Too Late', with their youthful energy, they continue to perform on music broadcast shows their new track 'Bbiribbom Bberibbom'.

Co-Ed School is just as it's name suggests, Co-ed. Unlike many popular Korean pop groups nowadays, Co-Ed is made up of members that are not all of the same gender. With 6 male members and 4 girl members, they are able to bring out the desired effect when rapping or singing.

[News]The reason the youngest group GP Basic, tears after the first broadcast

Youngest group GP Basic has burst into tears after their appearance on the 13th through MBC Music Program 'Music Core'.

With the debate going on saying that they were young, Janey has not stood up on the first stage because of the suggested age of the music program. On this day, GP Basic was without the maknae Janey and have performed, but the team members were crying in the waiting room after the performance. The reason why they were crying was because they felt sorry that the maknae Janey couldn't perform after all the hard things they've been through.

The agency representative has explained "The second single 'I Will Be There' is about waiting for the maknae Janey but the members were emotional about this subject".

GP Basic is made of 6 members with the 96er Hannah, Leah, Amet, Trinity, Zion and 98er maknae Janey.
