Moon Chae-won sheds tears for Daddy’s Girl poster Posted: 17 Nov 2010 04:43 AM PST Wait, I thought this drama was supposed to be… cheery? Here are the two official posters for SBS’s new drama It’s Okay, Daddy’s Girl, starring Moon Chae-won as a spoiled daughter who gets a rude awakening that kick-starts her maturation. I’m anticipating that the drama will feature some tears at the outset when Moon’s father (played by Park In-hwan) is injured in an accident (and the preview suggests that someone else dies in said incident). But I’m expecting things to lighten considerably once the drama gets going — and I hope that expectation doesn’t turn out to be totally wrong, based on the above poster. Mary Stayed Out All Night: Episode 4 Posted: 16 Nov 2010 08:29 PM PST Well, you were warned. Second lead ‘shippers, guard your hearts. Jung-in goes for the kill, and I don’t know about Mary, but everyone else gets slain. See, this is what happens when you marry two men. It gets confusing, for everyone involved. Including me. Couldn’t you have just gotten a job or gone into hiding? At least things are getting more fun, now that the triangle is in full effect. Song Hye-go’s Fetish finally gets a release Posted: 16 Nov 2010 03:45 PM PST It’s been a long time coming, but Song Hye-gyo’s U.S.-Korean co-production Make Yourself At Home — the new title for the project known for a while as Fetish — will finally be released for a theatrical run at home in Korea, two years after it was produced. (It first screened at the Pusan International Film Festival in 2008.) Though initially touted by Korean media as Song’s “Hollywood debut,” Song herself stated that that’s an exaggeration; she was merely drawn to the interesting concept and character, and thought it would be a good experience. Character stills and preview for It’s Okay, Daddy’s Girl Posted: 16 Nov 2010 10:49 AM PST It’s Okay, Daddy’s Girl is set to premiere on SBS (as soon as Dr. Champ ends this week), and is in the thick of filming. With rising star Moon Chae-won (Brilliant Legacy) in the lead and peppered with a hot (albeit inexperienced) young cast of idol singers, I’m hoping Daddy’s Girl proves to be a light, sweet watch. The preview, which you can see below, suggests a range of tones, from lightly comedic to serious and dramatic. It starts out showing Moon Chae-won’s character’s close relationship with her father, who spoils her. (She sees him as a source of unending cash flow and pouts when he can’t come to a promised shopping trip with her.) However, he gets into an accident where the other person dies, and that throws our heroine’s family into chaos. At the end of the preview, she says as though trying to convince herself, “It’s okay, Daddy’s Girl.” The rest of the drama will show her pulling herself back up and growing into a mature adult.
