[News] Heo Young Saeng & Kim Kyu Jong, Animal Protection Activity

It was only just revealed that singer Lee Hyori and SS501's Heo Young Saeng and Kim Kyu Jong set out to help transfer animals from the animal protection organization, KARA (not the girl group, though that would be an interesting twist).

Lee Hyori had went out of her way before she took part in the transfers by asking her fancafe to volunteer and help out. Along with her fans and the rest of the group, the team successfully transferred all of the animals and even stayed behind to help clean up.

She previously made headlines for personally adopting an abandoned cat and dog, and is currently spending a majority of her time helping the organization by doing things such as opening bazaars.

[News Kim Hyun Joong,living in a world of his own

For a person who harbours dreams of alien encounters and outer space travels, it's not hard to see why the band leader of SS501 has earned himself the nickname of a "fourth-dimensional person"



He lives in a world of his own and is known for having a "fourth-dimensional" personality filled with quirky thoughts and ideas.

Take the recent incident when a Korean fan masquerading as a repairman entered his place on the pretext of repairing his gas pipes. Instead of seeking help from security — as per what all normal beings would do — Kim Hyun Joong decided against it and treated her like a "normal repairman".

And that's not the end of his unconventional experience. Calling that his "most outrageous fan encounter", the band leader of SS501 (also known as leader Kim) even allowed her to cook him a bowl of porridge at his place.

Hyun Joong recalled feeling a little "down and unwell" on the day of the incident.

"And the fan, thankfully, she cooked up some porridge and placed a bowl of porridge on the table before leaving," he said through a translator, giving a slight chuckle.

In town as ambassador for Korean beauty brand, The Face Shop, the 24-year-old also flaunted his offbeat sense of humour at the press conference held in Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Center.

He tickled many with his cheeky yet straightforward response when asked if he "goes for looks in a girlfriend".

Instead of providing a conclusive answer, the 24-year-old deftly countered back with a question, "If not looks, what else should I go for?"

Giving the question a second thought, he added, "I don't particularly go for supermodel looks. I feel that on the average, usually when a lady has a very beautiful face, she may have an average figure. When her figure is outstanding, she may have an average face.

"But no, I don't have a particular liking for a very beautiful face. I usually go for the average," the bemused one chuckled.

Wearing an all-white ensemble that was most befitting of his charismatic and princely persona, the singer turned actor shared that he was taken aback by the rousing welcome at the airport when he arrived.

The overwhelming turnout must have left an indelible impression on Hyun Joong as he keenly expressed eagerness in returning to Singapore next year "as a singer" for album promotions and a fan-meeting following the release of his single solo album.

Breaking into his trademark toothy grin, the charming lad quipped, "I also plan to act in new dramas – if there are any good scripts."

Said to bear a striking resemblance to Korean star Bae Yong-joon, the flower boy felt "honoured" to be placed in the same league as the handsome Hallyu actor most famous for his role in Winter Sonata.

"No comment," he said with a hearty laugh when asked to name the better-looking one between the both of them and mused, "The most important thing besides deciding who is more handsome is the fact that Mr Bae Yong-joon is my boss [Hyun Joong is contracted under Bae's management agency, KeyEast]."

[News] Kim Hyun Joong’s standees fetched more than $12,000

POPULAR Korean singer-actor Kim Hyun Joong raised more than $12,000 at his autograph session-cum-charity auction at IMM shopping centre on Friday.

Two life-size autographed standees of him fetched more than $6,000 each. The charity auction was held in conjunction with World Aids Day and proceeds will go to World Vision's One Life Fund.

The auction for each of Kim Hyun Joong's standees started at $150 and subsequent bids were $50 per hand raised. But it soon spiralled into the thousands with the final bid for the first standee going for $6,500 and the second standee, $6,686.

The numbers for the second bid of 6686 coincides with the numbers for Kim's birthday, which is June 6, 1986.

Encouraged by the response, Kim himself matched the second bid, and pledged another $6,686, bringing the total proceeds for charity up to $19,872.

The Korean heartthrob made his first public appearance in Singapore as the new ambassador of Korean cosmetics brand The Face Shop.

The Music Core staff tweeted: Wow, during our filming, when Onew saw that the staffs had to hold on to the big machines/equipment, he mumbled to himself "Really, you guys worked hard". He really is getting more understanding (caring) by day -- it was near night already and very tiring- I think his personality and family background/education is really good!!

SINGAPORE: Nonchalant, cool and nary a smile from him, Kim Hyun Joong, with his boy-next-door good looks is surprisingly not unlike his character on the hit Korean drama "Boys Over Flowers".

In Singapore for the first time, the actor-singer even made it a point to dress in an all-white suit for a press event at Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre on Thursday.

"Because it makes me look cool," he told reporters.

But what is uncool, noted Kim, who is the ambassador for Korean beauty brand The Face Shop, is his dark eye circles and eye bags, a result of his busy work schedule and jet-setting lifestyle.

"I need to pay special attention to my eyes, especially my dark eye circles," Kim lamented, through a translator.

Despite spending a fair amount of time in the air, the 24-year-old admitted that he doesn't have an in-flight skincare regimen, choosing instead to shield his tired eyes from the public with a pair of sunglasses.

"I am always feeling exhausted, so I would rather take some time to relax by listening to music or watching movies," said Kim.

As the lead singer of popular K-pop band SS501, Kim must garner a fair bit of attention from the ladies but the star revealed that you don't need to have supermodel good looks to win his affections.

He observed that ladies who have beautiful faces usually have mediocre figures, while those with gorgeous bodies may have average looks.

"I do not have any particular preference for body and face, I think I might go for an average-looking girl," he said.

While still on the topic of looks, one reporter commented that Kim resembles another popular Korean actor Bae Yong Joon, and asked him for his opinion on who was the better looker.

"No comment," Kim replied, though noting he was flattered by the comparison.

"But I feel that the most important thing is, rather than deciding who is more handsome, is the fact that Bae Yong Joon is my boss!" said Kim, who is signed to Bae's artiste management agency KeyEast.

When asked about his resolution for the New Year, Kim said he hopes to produce a single or solo album.

And his wish list does not end there.

"I would love to come to Singapore again as a singer, and have a meet-the-fans session. I also hope to act in a new drama if there are any new good scripts coming up," he added.

[News] SM The Ballad Jino's Pre-debut photos surprises fans

A new artiste from SM, JINO, whom participated in "S.M. The Ballad Vol.1" surprises fans with his pre-debut photos.

Jino is a SM Trainee who was the winner of the 2008 SM Everysing Contest. Ever since then, he has been going under training until now, debuting as "SM The Ballad" together with his seniors, Jay from Trax, Jonghyun from SHINee and Kyuhyun from Super Junior.


This was Jino when he was in 2008, winning the 2008 SM Everysing contest.


And 2 years later, debuting as a member of SM The Ballad.


Look at the differences:


The fans were all very surprised by the change of him, commenting things like:
"I wonder how much weight he've lost"
"The change is BIG!"
"I can't believe he changed so much! He's so adorable now!!!"
"oh wow jino nice transformation."
"He looks so nerd then"

Although the change is great, his voice is indeed something that hasn't changed.

He had great vocals since back then, SM sure knows how to spot talents.

On the 4th of December broadcast of MBC "We got married", Seohyun from SNSD shared to her virtual husband CNBLue Yonghwa her Drivers License!

The couple went to get their drivers license before, even studying hard for the exams. Thus, Seohyun was able to get her drivers license ID and shared it to Yonghwa and Yonghwa was surprised on Seohyun's expression in her photo.

Seohyun came off looking a bit arrogant in her ID photo. In the episode, Seohyun can be seen driving the car with YongHwa in the passenger seat.

On 2nd December, Lee Hongki left a message on his Twitter stating, "FTIsland and Primadonna to build a children's library together. I've donated too. In the names of FTIsland and Primadonna, the library would be built in a country that is facing difficulties. I hope everyone would actively participate in this so that we can build a good library." At the same time, he left a donation site there.

Today is the start for the 3 show Concert of "2010 YG FAMILY CONCERT" starting today, and tomorrow. The show hasnt started yet but fans have already gathered hours ago at the Seoul Olympic stadium to check out the YG goodies being sold outside....

Alongside the merchandise, huge posters can be seen everywhere including a sign that showed info about Big Bang's upcoming Big Show 2011. It was just a teaser somehow, and it is not yet confirmed.

But looks like VIP's are in for a treat, with GD and TOP's debut this december with a fresh album, Seungri's digital single comeback next year and Big Bang as a whole new album by February 2011, a Big Show 2011 is going to be a cherry on top a very huge cake.

Anything amazing is worth the wait right? especially when it comes to YG.
