| Kim Kang-woo to become a father Posted: 08 Dec 2010 05:15 AM PST Kim Kang-woo (Story of a Man) married quietly earlier this year, and now he’s announced that he and his wife are expecting their first child. They married in June after a seven-year courtship, having been introduced by friends in 2003. This also means that actress Han Hye-jin (Jejoongwon) will be an aunt — his wife is her older sister. A representative from Kim’s management company, Namoo Actors, stated on the 8th that the couple is three months into the pregnancy, which puts the expected delivery date sometime in spring. | Giant reaches new high, Mary hits new low Posted: 07 Dec 2010 03:55 PM PST SBS’s 60-episode series Giant wrapped with a massive 38.2% rating today, ending its seven-month run on an all-time high. Not only that, the finale rating is also a sizable 5.5% jump from its previous high last week (which it drew with its 58th episode). It’s enough to make you wonder how high Giant could have gone had it not had to deal with steady competition from Dong Yi throughout its first half; Giant stayed firmly in the lower 20% range till that drama ended, after which it enjoyed its constant climb. | Shin Mina holds her first ever fanmeeting Posted: 07 Dec 2010 11:23 AM PST It’s hard to believe that someone as high-profile and well-known as Shin Mina has never held a fanmeeting before — even if it usually is the men who get all the big fan events — but it’s true. Ten years after her debut, Shin is just now holding her first fanmeeting, which is no doubt spurred largely by her renewed popularity after starring in this year’s hit fantasy romantic-comedy My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho. Shin has ten films and five dramas to her resumé — which include projects like Devil, Go Go 70s, The Naked Kitchen, and A Love to Kill — so she’s already established herself over the past decade. Plus she has all those CFs to her name. But Gumiho did introduce her to a new kind of popularity and earned her much love for her adorable portrayal of an otherworldly heroine. The fanmeeting will feature all the usual activities, which naturally includes a performance by the star; she has sung on several soundtracks before, including Gumiho, as well as with rock band Loveholics.
