In the latest episode of KBS variety show '100 Points Out of 100', Minho Hongki Hyosung and Eunhyuk were asked to sing a theme song for the chicken. Eventually, four of them changed the chorus part of the song Love Love Love, Magic, Sorry Sorry and Ring Ding Dong into chicken chicken!

[News] IU tops Hanteo real-time album chart once again!

Female singer, IU, has been doing really well with her recent comeback. Since the release of her third mini-album "Real" two weeks ago, the album has once topped Hanteo album daily chart. Today, the normal version of her third mini-album tops the Hanteo real-time album chart while the special version of the album has topped yesterday's daily album chart. This is indeed her best selling album to date.

[News] 'Hoot' sold more than 20k copies in Japan on Day 1

On Day 1 of its release in Japan, SNSD's Licensed Japanese Edition of 3rd mini album 'Hoot' managed to secure the #2 spot on Oricon Daily Album Chart.
Released officially on December 22nd, 'Hoot' recorded sales of 21,271 copies, making it the 2nd hottest selling album of the day behind Ayumi Hamasaki's 'Love Songs' which recorded a massive sales of 70,609 copies, also on the first day of release.

Following this a representative from the music industry said, "Previously, the licensed albums for Super Junior and SHINee only managed to secure 5th and 8th spot respectively on Oricon. Since SNSD have not officially promoted the album in Japan, I think this result is rather phenomenal. SNSD's songs are well received and loved domestically in Korea as well as in Japan".

[News] Junsu of JYJ thinks of 4Minute as one of the most promising singers

JYJ, whose members are Jaejoong, Yuchun and Junsu had just an interview with regards to their feelings and opinions upon releasing their recent single "Ayy Girl" as well as with some of their views with regards to doing their own promotions without the other 2 members of DBSK. 

However, the most amazing thing that was brought up during this interview is when each of the members were asked to pick an idol group or a soloist who they think is one of the Most Promising Singers at the moment. Surprisingly, the group's new maknae, Junsu, chose 4Minute as his answer. On the other hand, Jaejoon picked Supernova while Yuchun chose MATE.

It is amazing how 4Minute continues to shine and be recognized by other idols despite of their long absence in Korea. Let us hope for more people to love and recognize our girls' skills and abilities.

SNSD's 2011 calendars which were on sale since November 23rd sold even hotter than hot cakes.

The calendars, which are available in desktop and wall type are put up for sale and also being auctioned on Gmarket and according to them, the overwhelming demand and massive popularity drive large traffic to the event page and subsequently crashed the server.
Pre-orders were taken until December 5th and the calendars were shipped from December 10th onwards.

[News] Lee Na Young still waiting for her payday

Runaway Plan B is wrapped and off the air, but lead actress Lee Na-young has yet to see a single cent from it, and is taking legal steps to claim her salary.

To that end, she has filed suit against producers with the Seoul Central District Court demanding the unpaid wages, according to her management company Keyeast. This comes after the drama that boasted a 10 billion won budget had trouble securing funding mid-shoot, troubled by ever-dropping ratings. Lee isn't the only one who hasn't been paid; other supporting cast members and crew are also waiting. According to management reps, other stars in the main cast like Rain, Daniel Henney, and Yoon Jin-seo have received some pay, though the rest is still outstanding.

A source with the production company promised to negotiate the matter, but it remains to be seen how long that might take if the problem is that there are no funds to be paid.

In these stills for MBC's My Princess, the costuming of series star Kim Tae-hee is really just a sly wink at the audience, because this has nothing to do with her rags-to-riches Cinderella turn after her character, Lee Seol, is discovered to be a real princess.

Instead, the scene depicts Seol in a princess costume as a part-time gig, before she makes the discovery of her true identity as lost royalty. Seol's a penny-pincher who'll do just about anything (legal, one assumes) to earn some spare cash, which is how she ends up wearing all this traditional royal finery. It's here that she happens to meet a Western princess, and they end up taking a photo together.

JYP's side has announced that they will take all legal responsibility about the statements made about Park Jaebum's withdrawal.

JYP(e) passed on their point of view about singer/JYP representative Park Jin Young appearing on KBS 2TV's 'Win Win' that aired on the 21st and mentioning Park Jaebum's 2PM withdrawal, "We think regretfully of the way the controversy about this 2PM member change has occurred again. However, we think that it is inappropriate to reveal detailed information about the 2PM member change at this time. However, if there is any lie that twists the truth of this event, we reveal that we will take any legal or ethical responsibility".

This means that they will not explain further about sidusHQ's official request "Reveal the truth of Park Jaebum", but they haven't twisted the truth, either.

[News] KARA is dominating Japan some more!

Whether it's record sales or mobile sales, Kara achieved an electrifying all-kill in Japan music charts. It was recently revealed that Kara achieved an all-kill on Japan annual charts for #1 rookie. Based on all the sales, Kara was ranked the #1 newcomer and also was in the top 10 amongst all singers for the year.

On Dec 20th, Oricon revealed that Kara's music sales were #1 amongst newcomers this year. "Debuting in August of this year with the hip dance, Kara's 2 singles, Mister and Jumping>, Korean album and first full-length album, plus DVDs - totaling 8 items, sold 493,000 copies total and garnered 13 hundred million Yen." This was 10 times more than other rookies in 2010. They appear to be unrivaled in the newcomer market. Furthermore Kara's first full-length album Girls' Talk is nearing the 200k mark within one month, truly securing their place in the industry.

In addition to record sales, Kara has also been doing well in mobile downloads. Japan's mobile site Recochoku recently selected Kara as this year's top rookies, since they were #1 on charts such as ringtone downloads and music video. Kara was also voted as #5 on this year's MVP artists poll.

On Dec 9th, Japan's iTunes chart revealed that Mister was #14 on its annual chart. It's the highest rank out of the rookies this year.

In addition, Kara did well in USEN's rookie rankings. USEN recently revealed that Mister was ranked #18 for the year. USEN looks at hit song rankings, song requests and broadcasts to measure their overall ranking.

In truth, Kara hardly seems like rookies in the Japanese music industry. Kara is already receiving top-star level treatment in Japan with a very promising future. There are also rumors that broadcasting companies and commercials are all competing to get Kara on their show or advertisement.

Aside from just these numbers, public sentiment also reflects an explosive level of popularity. Japan's biggest mobile phone has selected Kara to be the main characters in a drama that will be aired in January to launch their phone model "au." There are also plans for Kara to be the main characters in a game that is being created by a famous game company. Japan's Karaoke charts have Kara's Mister ranked as the #1 song for the months of Nov and Dec, revealing Kara's popularity potential.

Variety show newcomer, actress Oh Jooeun, confidently danced to SNSD's 'Hoot' on a recent episode of MBC every1 'Infinity Girls Season 3'.

In last week's episode, Oh Jooeun failed a mission assigned to her during the show. She was given homework by the oldest member of the show, Song Euni, to prepare a talent for the next episode. Oh Jooeun proceeded to spending her week learning SNSD's 'arrow dance' as her talent.

Korean boy band BEAST, set to pursue their singing activities as three separate duo units, have released the second track from their new album today.

Cube Entertainment announced in a press release on Wednesday that Jun-hyung and Yo-seop's hip-hop track "Thanks to" from their upcoming album "My Story" will be revealed along with a video preview, in the format of a drama, on their official fan webpage and YouTube channel.

"Thanks to," featuring a powerful bass sound with rap by Jun-hyung, was also composed and written by both members.

On Tuesday, the agency revealed the first track "When the Door Closes" by members Du-jun and Dong-woon from "My Story," which includes four tracks and the soft version of "Lights Go On Again."

Known as one of the hottest boy bands, BEAST made their debut in October 2009 with their first mini-album "BEAST IS THE B2ST," producing hit songs such as "Bad Girl," "Shock," Easy "and" Soom. "

Girl group SNSD has shot their arrows towards Japan for the third time.

On the 21st, the Japanese version of their mini album, 'Hoot', was revealed, which was followed by a hot response.

The day before its release on the 20th, Tower Records was filled with SNSD. 'Hoot' was played endlessly throughout the store. Japanese fans, ranging from those that were not in their 20s to those in their 30s, could be seen purchasing the newly released albums.

[News] Kara - 1st Girl Group To Reach "Platinum" Status - Explosive Popularity

Kara is the first Korean girl group to reach "Platinum" status for an album in Japan.

Recently Japan's record hubs disclosed that Kara's debut song has reached platinum status in downloads. This year's K-pop boom in Korea has led to Kara being the first Korean girl group to reach this status.

Platinum status is reached after hitting 250,000 in sales. This reflects how big of a hit was in the mobile market. The song sells for about 4,000 Korean Won, which is truly impressive.

In the album department, Kara's first full-length album "Girls' Talk" also has a potential of reaching platinum status. Oricon chart has its sales at about 180,000 within the first month, and they project that within the first half of 2011, the album should be able to reach platinum status.

Aside from , Kara's 2nd single has had over 100,000 downloads and has achieved gold status.

Kim Hyun Joong, a singer and an actor, due to his sickness he canceled his schedules in Taiwan.

He was supposed to be promoting MBC "Playful kiss" in Taiwan on the 26th but due to his intense schedule and not being able to rest, his health deteriorated.
