[News]Queen SeungA looks like King Kwanghee???

Girl group Rainbow's Seung Ah was mocked by being claimed to resemble Hwang Kwang Hee from ZE:A, the "Plastic Surgery Idol". On December 12th, in "Bouquet" the MC questioned Seung Ah if she thinks she looks similar to Idol MC Hwang Kwang Hee. She was shocked and felt mocked.

Hwang Gwang Hee is a prosperous idol due to his open-mindedness and honesty about him going through plastic surgery. Upon hearing this question, the Rainbow members got excited and claimed "Seung Ah is all natural, she didn't do plastic surgery." On the other hand, during this episode of "Bouquet", a corner called "Survival Love Studio" was prepared. 15 boys and girls were intensely trying to appeal to each other.

With the year soon coming to a close, KBS has announced a special episode of Music Bank to celebrate the closing of a relative good year for all K-Pop groups. This special event is set to feature this year's hotttest such as 2PM, 2AM, SNSD, KARA, Super Junior and CN BLUE among others. It will also feature Beast and 4Minute who have enjoyed much success and have matured much since their rookie days not so long ago.

For 4Minute, it will be more meaningful as this event will mark their 'comeback' to Korea since their Japanese promotions started a few months back. With their Korea comeback slated early next year, this special event will help to build up much-needed hype and also remind fans not to forget 4Minute. This special episode is to be broadcasted this Friday.

[News]Super Junior’s Sungmin donates 1.5 tonnes of rice to disabled people

Super Junior Sungmin who is acting in the KBS Wed-Thurs Drama "President" has donated 1.5 tons of rice to Dongjakgu Disabled People's Workshop.

Sungmin's donation of 1.5 tonnes of rice comes from the rice baskets given by Sungmin's fans from 7 countries to cheer him on during the press conference of KBS Wed-Thurs Drama "President" at Ramada Seoul Hotel held on the 9th.
Sungmin's fans from South Korea, China, Thailand, Canada, Singapore, Taiwan, and Malaysia gave rice baskets as gifts to congratulate and cheer on Sungmin for his first acting stint and to hope for good drama ratings. At the end of it, the rice was sent to help the needy.
The rice was sent to Dongjakgu Disabled People's Workshop. This is the place where Sungmin and his fans have been helping and volunteering for many years. Dongjakgu Disabled People's Workshop's President Lee Yong Ho said, "Super Junior Sungmin's charity acts that are fitting of an idol star's actions are very touching. We will help to actively promote "President" so that Sungmin's drama will have a good ending." He also expressed his gratitude to Sungmin's father who helped in the transportation of the rice (to the workshop).
Sungmin's active participation in volunteer work is due to his parents' influence. In 2009, in conjunction with the Green Coalition, Sungmin's father donated the administrative procedure fees for Sendbill (the name of Sungmin's father's company), which deals with electronic tax invoices, to the Green Coalition administration, and Sungmin's mother had been quietly volunteering in the past 20 years. Sungmin's father sent the 1.5 tonnes of rice from fans to where it is needed. Residents who received it said, "We're thanking Sungmin's fans with tears, we don't really know how to explain these feelings we are experiencing. Through the drama "President", something good will come out of the fans' actions."
The drama "President" shows the entanglement between people's pain and their hidden ambitions for power, this KBS2 Wed-Thurs drama will be showing its first broadcast on the 15th at 9:55PM. At the press conference, Sungmin's fans from 7 countries sent up to 70 rice baskets to cheer on the drama, totaling up to 1.5 tonnes (of rice), attracting the attention of everyone present.

[Rumor] SMTown to release a Christmas Album this Winter?

While the news hasn't been confirmed yet, a screenshot of the tracklist for the SM Town Winter 2010 appeared today.
The album will apparently be titled This Winter and will be available on December 25th for Christmas.
The track list goes as follows.
(note: This is what I gathered from the screenshot, I believe the names at the end are the producers.)

Twitter has analyzed the 25 billion tweets sent in 2010 and published the list of top overall trends in the year behind us, as well as the top 10 trending topics in eight categories: News Events, People, Movies, Television, Technology, World Cup, Sports and Hashtags.

And from this computation, Super Junior Kim Hee Chul took the spot of being the 9th placer for the People Category. Hee Chul being famous to all ELFs and his very own Petals, there were several trending projects that has been made about him but what makes it unforgettable was when he stayed on the trending topic world wide for almost four days.

Well, congratulations, for sure fans will again make another trending topic about you because of this!

[News] 4minute preparing for agrresive promotions in Japan and Korea

Girl group 4minute will be preparing for full-scale promotions in Japan for their first real album.

4minute's first album, entitled "DIAMOND," will be released on the 15th as part of the Korean girl group wave currently sweeping Japan. After releasing 3 singles this year in Japan, the girls will start major promotions throughout the country for the monumental event of their first album release. This is the first album the girls have put out in any country.

Hit songs like "Hot Issue," "HuH," and "Muzik" will be included in the 13-track album. "Muzik" and "I My Me Mine" will be in Japanese, increasing the specialness of the album.

On the 10th, a representative from Cube entertainment said, "Starting with 4minute's first album release, we will begin aggressive promotional activities. We have plans for domestic activities for the first half of the year as well."

4minute's concerts in Osaka and Tokyo recently attracted 4,000 attendees, with tickets sold out in record time.

The girls are currently working with in-house producer Shinsadong Tiger as part of their Korean/overseas simultaneous promotions to begin next year.

[News]Blockbuster ‘The Fugitive’ Comes to End

The KBS2 blockbuster drama "The Fugitive: Plan B" has drawn its curtain with good triumphing over evil.
The show kept the tension high even in the 20th and last episode on December 8, as Yoon So-ran (Yun Jin-seo), a police investigator and girlfriend of fellow investigator Do-soo (Lee Jung-jin), was killed, and Ji-ni (Lee Na-young) and Ji-woo (Rain) saw the gold bullions they had barely acquired go missing again.
That seemed to leave no hope for the two to reveal the truth behind the gold theft and evil crimes by Yang Doo-hee (Song Jae-ho) and Yang Yeong-jun (Kim Eung-soo), who masterminded many murders, including that of Ji-ni's parents, in order to lay their hands on the gold.
Kai (Daniel Henney), who once worked for Doo-hee, comes to help Ji-ni and Ji-woo and reveals the whole truth to the media. But Doo-hee and Yeong-jun deny their involvement and point the finger at a sniper they hired.

Getting away with the murder, Yeong-jun, a prominent politician, runs for the presidency successfully. But Ji-ni shows up at a campaign event he is holding and plays a recorded tape where he threatens Ji-ni about the gold in front of reporters present, and Ji-woo comes with the gold he found in Yeong-jun' office. This leads to the arrest of Doo-hee, who kills himself later, and other accomplices.
Bringing all the evil to justice and confirming their love for each other, Ji-ni and Ji-woo leave in a car on their own.

[News] Sistar's "How Dare You" tops weekly online music charts!

Rising rookie group, Sistar, recently released their third single album entitled "How Dare You" last week. Since then their title-song of the same name of their third single album has been topping major online music charts.

As of today, major music portals like Bugs, Dosirak, Monkey3, Soribada and Mnet revealed their weekly chart ranking that was based from December 5th until December 11th and Sistar's "How Dare You" is peaking at #1, #1, #1, #1 and #2 respectively.

This is quite an impressive accomplishment for Sistar since they just debuted few months ago. Lets hope that they can grab their first #1 trophy from music shows soon!

[News] CNBLUE Top 10 in 2010 Melon Awards, Currently Ranks #1 For Best New Artist

With approximately one day left for online vote at 2010 Melon Awards, things are looking good for CNBLUE as the band is among the Top 10 artists competing for the main award, Artist of the Year. CNBLUE is also currently ranked #1 for Best New Artist. Aside from the awards, CNBLUE is also nominated for Best Song (I'm A Loner) and Best Album (Bluetory).
The online voting for Melon Awards is only applicable for Korean citizen and foreigners with Resident Registration Number. The first round of online voting started on November 11th-21st. The second voting started on November 22nd and will end on December 14th. However, the online voting results will only reflect 20% of the whole marks to determine the winners for all categories, whereas the other 80% comes from the digital album sales.
Here are the results for CNBLUE as of 12.40 am December 13th:

It was a very exciting night in Singapore for fans of MBLAQ, Miss A, 2AM, B2ST & 2PM as they rocked the Marina Bay Sands Hall with more than 1000 enthusiastic fans. It was MBLAQ, Miss A & 2PM's first visit to Singapore and I'm pretty sure they felt very welcomed with the amount of fans supporting them be at at the airport, the fan meets organized by Launch all the way to the concert itself.

Now let's go back in time to see what these lucky fans have experienced.

Opening the much anticipated Mnet Ultimate Live In Asia Singapore concert was none other than MBLAQ from J-Tunes. They performed their hit songs Oh Yeah, Y, followed by a series of solo performances; Mir with a rap performance, GO with a ballad song, Lee Joon with a ballet routine, Seungho with a dance performance and Thunder who danced slightly to a ballad. Following the solo performances, they did What You Want and ended their part of the show beautifully with One Better Day.

2nd up on stage to perform was JYP's Miss A. Although they were short of their youngest member Suzy, they still put in their best effort to give a power packed performance. They started off with their recent hit Breathe chinese remix version chosen specially for the Singapore fans which was only last performed at the recent MAMA. Next up was a cover of Lady Gaga's Poker Face, after which Miss A did a little introduction and promised that Suzy will be here the next time Miss A comes again. Fei started off the dance solo, followed by Jia then Min with their individual dance solos. A video of Suzy expressing her regrets on being unable to be there with the rest of Miss A in Singapore due to her drama commitments was played after this and Miss A ended off with MAMA's song of the year, Bad Girl, Good Girl.

The 3rd performance of the night was 2AM. Despite being a ballad group, they managed to bring up the atmosphere of the crowd simply by appearing on stage.

2AM started off with Cant Let You Go Even If I Die, A Friend's Confession before they talked briefly about their trip to Singapore and the surprise they prepared for the fans. They each brought a teddy bear & wanted to give it to the fans as they were unable to do much for them. Before throwing them into the crowd, they hugged the bears really tight and Seulong even kissed the bear. Changmin kept saying he wanted to throw it towards his ideal type. I wonder if he really did.

After that, they performed I Sorry I Cant Smile For You, Like Crazy and ended off with Number 1. Some highlights of their performance include Jokwon's slight Kkap dance & short Hoot dance before leaving the stage.

4th performance was the highly anticipated B2ST, who arrived in the afternoon and flew back right after the concert.

Starting up with Special, Soom, B2ST took a short break to introduce themselves before continuing their performance of Yet, Bad Girl, Clenching a Tight Fist, Mystery, Oasis, a very adorable Beautiful and ended it with Shock.

The closing act of the night was 2PM. Starting off with What Time Is it, 2PM brought us through tracks from their debut times all the way to their current tracks.

After their introduction song, they continued with Dont Stop Cant Stop and I Hate You before stopping to do a short introduction of themselves and continuing with Only You while giving out roses to the lucky fans. Following that, they put on angel wings and performed Angel.

Then a VCR was shown as they change. Coming back to stage, they performed I Cant, 10 Points Out of 10 Points, Putting My Life On The Line and Gimme The Light before they stopped to talk about how they felt on that day. 2PM continued by performing Again & Again and ended off the concert with Heartbeat.
