Queen of Reversals spoiler and extension Posted: 21 Dec 2010 04:43 AM PST Fair warning: there’s a picture spoiler ahead, so don’t click if you don’t want to know what happens in tonight’s episode. MBC’s Queen of Reversals has just been extended… AGAIN. They added two more episodes, taking the total episode count to 32. That leaves six more weeks for the drama to either make Hwang Tae-hee (Kim Nam-joo) fall in love with Gu Yong-shik (Park Shi-hoo), or else go down in flames. I’m thinking they’ll go with the first option if they know what’s good for them. (...) © girlfriday for Dramabeans, 2010. | Permalink | 6 comments | Add to del.icio.us |
Mary Stayed Out All Night: Episode 13 Posted: 20 Dec 2010 11:18 PM PST It’s like this drama went from zero to eighty in the span of seconds — one moment, it’s spinning its wheels while remaining in the same place for ten episodes, and then suddenly wheels find purchase on the gravel and speed off into the distance, careening wildly because all that speed makes it hard to steer. It’s enough to give you whiplash. We’re getting makjang-er and makjang-er, with extreme parental opposition of the Montague/Capulet variety and gangsters and kidnappings, which is actually kind of amusing since the tone has remained staunchly romantic-fluff. Sector 7 sells abroad, releases teaser poster Posted: 20 Dec 2010 03:19 PM PST Let’s take a first look at the 3D blockbuster Sector 7, the action/sci-fi movie starring Ha Ji-won (currently showing some of her stunt chops in Secret Garden), movie veteran Ahn Sung-ki (May 18), and Oh Ji-ho (Chuno). The movie takes place out on an oil rig, and unfolds as the characters encounter a strange monster, Host-style. The film boasts high-quality CG and 3D effects, and underwent a two-year pre-production period during which the monster was designed. At the American Film Market last month, Sector 7 sold to four overseas entities in advance of its release in Korea; those are TF1 in France, M Pictures in Thailand, and Scorpio East in Singapore and Malaysia. The idea of a monster-at-sea movie isn’t terribly novel, but with the people involved, I can see the crossover potential for Sector 7. Director Kim Ji-hoon put out May 18 about the Gwangju massacre, and producer Yoon Je-kyun worked on blockbuster disaster flick and box-office smash Haeundae (also starring Ha Ji-won), as well as the well-received romantic comedy My Gangster Boyfriend (with Jung Yumi and Park Joong-hoon) and warm drama Harmony (with Kim Yun-jin). The film wrapped filming on September 29 and is currently in post-production, aiming for a summer 2011 premiere. Via My Daily RELATED POSTS

Posted: 20 Dec 2010 10:22 AM PST We’re kicking it up a notch this week, as the love square starts to get going in earnest, thanks to Seul the Master Feeling Denier. Although I guess we can’t really call it a love square, can we? It’s more like an arranged-marriage-with-cousins-and-a-MerMistress-square. Yeah. I just grossed myself out.
